  • Deon Jackson RB | DET

Giants' Deon Jackson: Snapped up by Giants

The Giants claimed Jackson from waivers Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Jackson was signed to the Browns' active roster Saturday, played seven snaps on special teams Sunday against the Colts and was cut by the team Monday. Rather than going unclaimed, Jackson was picked up by the Giants, who are in need of backfield depth with Eric Gray (calf) placed on injured reserve, while Saquon Barkley (elbow) and Gary Brightwell (hamstring) are both questionable for the Week 8 game against the Jets.

  • Eric Gray RB | NYG

Giants' Eric Gray: Lands on IR

The Giants placed Gray (calf) on injured reserve Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

In a corresponding move, the Giants signed Jashaun Corbin from the Panthers' practice squad. Gray sustained the calf injury Sunday against the Commanders and will be forced to miss at least the next four games. He's eligible to return against the Patriots on Nov. 26.

  • Giants' Jashaun Corbin: Joins Giants

The Giants signed Corbin to their active roster Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.

Corbin has spent the season on the Panthers' practice squad after participating in the team's training camp. The move corresponds with Eric Gray (calf) being placed on injured reserve, and Corbin will provide depth to a backfield riddled with injuries to Saquon Barkley (elbow) and Gary Brightwell (hamstring).

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: No work on offense in Week 7

Ingram tallied nine snaps on special teams and none on offense during Sunday's 20-10 loss in Seattle.

One week removed from pacing the Cardinals with 10 carries in their first game since James Conner (knee) was placed on IR, Ingram was relegated entirely to special-teams work Sunday. The backfield instead was led by Emari Demercado, who turned an 80 percent snap share into 17 touches for 75 yards from scrimmage. Behind Demercado, Damien Williams had just one rush for two yards on 18 percent of the snaps. Demercado may now have a leg up on Williams and Ingram for touches until Conner returns, making it difficult to rely on Ingram for production.

  • Jordan Mason RB | MIN

49ers' Jordan Mason: No offensive snaps Monday

Mason did not see the field on offense while logging 11 snaps on special teams in Monday's 22-17 loss to the Vikings.

Mason was surprisingly not used on offense even with starter Christian McCaffrey (oblique) playing through a lingering injury suffered in last week's loss to Cleveland. The latter wound up playing 100 percent of San Francisco's offensive snaps Monday, and Elijah Mitchell received the only non-CMC carry for San Francisco's backfield. Mason was coming off a pair of strong performances with a touchdown in each, so Monday's lack of usage killed any momentum the backup was building heading into next Sunday's tilt against the Bengals.

  • Bryant Koback RB | SEA

    Bryant Koback: Heading to Seattle

Koback signed with the Seahawks' practice squad Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official website reports.

Koback spent training camp in Seattle, but ultimately landed on the Eagles' practice squad after failing to make the team. He was sent packing by Philly prior to Week 7 and will now get a second chance with the Seahawks' practice unit. The undrafted free agent has yet to suit up for a regular season game this year.

  • Mohamed Ibrahim: Lands on injured list

The Lions placed Ibrahim (hip) on the practice squad injured list Tuesday.

Ibrahim sustained the injury in Sunday's 38-6 loss to the Ravens on a kick return and underwent surgery for his hip Monday. He'll be forced to miss at least the next four games and won't be eligible for a call up until Week 13 against the Saints on Dec. 3.

  • 49ers' Elijah Mitchell: Only backup with touches Monday

Mitchell lost one yard on his only carry in Monday's 22-17 loss to the Vikings.

Starting tailback Christian McCaffrey (oblique) did not leave the field in Monday's loss despite playing at less than 100 percent. Mitchell was still able to get on the field via two-back sets for four offensive snaps (eight percent). The 25-year-old wound up being the only other backup to touch the ball against Minnesota despite losing favor to the hotter Jordan Mason in recent weeks. Mitchell appears to still be No. 2 on depth chart heading into next Sunday's game against Cincinnati despite struggling with his production (2.5 YPC) when he has been healthy enough to play this season.

  • Jordan Wilkins RB | CLE

    Jordan Wilkins: Returns to Cleveland

The Browns signed Wilkins to their practice squad Tuesday, Brad Stainbrook of 247Sports.com reports.

Wilkins spent this past offseason with Cleveland, but he ended up missing the team's 53-man roster and getting released in late August. The 29-year-old's most recent in-game action came with the Colts in 2022, and throughout his five-year NFL career, he's recorded 1,009 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

  • Jacques Patrick: Dropped by Tennessee

Patrick was cut from the Titans' practice squad Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Patrick failed to make Tennessee's 53-man roster, but he's been a part of the team's practice squad since the middle of September. The 26-year-old's last in-game action came in 2021 when he made two appearances for the 49ers' and recorded 12 rushing yards. In a corresponding move, the Titans' signed running back Jonathan Ward to their practice squad.
