  • Kenny Pickett QB | CAR

Steelers' Kenny Pickett: Shows more efficiency

Pickett completed 16 of 28 passes for 197 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 19-16 win over the Falcons.

Pickett wasn't asked to do much in the win, as the Steelers ran the ball 37 times as opposed to his 28 pass attempts. As has been the case for the last few weeks, Pickett showed flashes of competency with long completions of 57, 20 and 17 yards -- the final of which was his lone touchdown of the game. Those gains also helped Pickett average 7.0 yards per attempt, the first full game in which he's broken that threshold. Despite those positives, Pickett has thrown for under 200 yards in four of his last five games and has yet to throw for multiple scores in a contest.

  • Geno Smith QB | NYJ

Seahawks' Geno Smith: Career-best effort against Rams

Smith completed 28 of 39 passes for 367 yards and three touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 27-23 win over the Rams.

The 367 yards were a career high for Smith, who overcame a huge revenge game from former Seahawk Bobby Wagner that included two sacks and an INT to engineer a comeback win. After the Rams took a 23-20 lead with just under three minutes left in the fourth quarter, Smith led a 10-play, 75-yard drive that ended in a DK Metcalf touchdown reception with only 36 seconds left on the clock. The 32-year-old QB has tossed multiple TD passes in six straight games and has racked up at least 275 passing yards in four straight, giving him plenty of momentum heading into a Week 14 clash with the Panthers.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Expected to start next week

Tagovailoa (ankle) could have returned to Sunday's game against the 49ers and is expected to start next Sunday against the Chargers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Tagovailoa was banged up when he fumbled on a sack during the closing minutes of Sunday's matchup and was replaced by Skylar Thompson for the Dolphins' final possession. Tagovailoa downplayed the severity of his injury during his postgame press conference but said that he'd continue to be assessed. He doesn't appear to be dealing with a significant injury and is unlikely to miss time.

  • Brock Purdy QB | SF

49ers' Brock Purdy: Takes over for injured starter

Purdy completed 25 of 37 pass attempts for 210 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in relief of injured starter Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) in Sunday's 33-17 win over Miami.

Garoppolo broke his foot on the 49ers' opening drive, forcing Purdy into action for the remainder of the contest. The final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, "Mr. Irrelevant" stepped in and performed above expectations to lead his team to a hard-fought victory. Purdy was errant on a few open throws -- including his lone interception -- but was otherwise effective in getting the ball in his playmakers' hands. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the 49ers have already ruled Garoppolo out for the rest of the season, which means Purdy will be making the first start of his NFL career against the Buccaneers in Week 14.

  • Josh Johnson QB | CIN

Josh Johnson: Slated to join 49ers

The 49ers plan to sign Johnson to their 53-man roster, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Johnson has spent most of the year on the Broncos' practice squad, but the 49ers need help at quarterback after Jimmy Garoppolo sustained a season-ending foot injury Sunday. It seems likely that the 49ers will utilize Brock Purdy as their starting quarterback, but Johnson should provide a veteran presence in the locker room with the ability to fill in if Purdy struggles or gets hurt.

  • Kirk Cousins QB | LV

Vikings' Kirk Cousins: Manages Vikings to victory

Cousins completed 21 of 35 passes for 173 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 27-22 win over the Jets.

Cousins struggled significantly against the tough Jets' defense and was held to only 4.9 yards per attempt. However, he limited mistakes -- he didn't turn the ball over -- and threw a key touchdown to Justin Jefferson from 10 yards away midway through the fourth quarter. Though the Vikings have had plenty of team-level success on the campaign, Cousins has now failed to throw for multiple scores in three of his last four games.

  • Joe Burrow QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Another commanding performance

Burrow completed 25 of 31 passes for 286 yards and two touchdowns while rushing 11 times for 46 yards and another score in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Chiefs.

Burrow was nearly perfect in the win, finishing the game off in style with a laser to Tee Higgins to convert a third-and-11 play after the two-minute warning. Burrow was sacked just once, and it's worth noting that the Bengals' offensive line has done a far better job of protecting him ever since the debacle against the Browns on Halloween night. He gets his chance at revenge against the Browns next week at home.

  • 49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: Ruled out for season

Garoppolo sustained a broken left foot in Sunday's win over the Dolphins and will require season-ending surgery, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Garoppolo exited Sunday's game on the 49ers' first possession and had to be carted to the locker room. He'll require surgery to address his broken foot and will be unavailable for the final five games of the campaign in addition to any postseason contests to follow. The 31-year-old completed 67.2 percent of his pass attempts for 2,437 yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions while rushing 23 times for 33 yards and two scores over 11 appearances during the regular season. Brock Purdy stepped in as a replacement during Sunday's game and led the 49ers to a win, and he's in line to serve as the team's starting quarterback down the stretch. However, head coach Kyle Shanahan said Sunday that the team will likely also need to bring in another quarterback.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Downplays severity of injury

Tagovailoa (ankle) said after Sunday's loss to the 49ers that he feels "as good as I can be coming off a game," Adam H. Beasley of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

Tagovailoa was kept off the field for the Dolphins' final drive Sunday and was listed as questionable to return. He said during his postgame press conference that he'll have a few things assessed, but he didn't seem too concerned about his availability going forward. His status for next Sunday's game against the Chargers will likely come into focus based on his availability at practice this week.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Likely done for season

Coach Sean McVay said Sunday that Stafford is dealing with a spinal cord contusion and will likely miss the remainder of the season, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Stafford was placed on injured reserve Saturday and was ineligible to return until at least Week 17, and he'll likely be held out given the nature of his injury. The 34-year-old had also spent time in the league's concussion protocols in recent weeks and has appeared in just nine games this year. If he's shut down for the season, he'll finish the year having completed 68.0 percent of his pass attempts for 2,087 yards, 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions while rushing 13 times for nine yards and a score. John Wolford will likely continue to serve as the Rams' starting quarterback in Stafford's absence.
