The following players will not suit up for the Packers Thursday night against the Chiefs, per ESPN: Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb, Eddie Lacy, Sam Shields, Tramon Williams, Demetri Goodson, Morgan Burnett, A.J. Hawk, Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers, Brad Jones, David Bakhtiari, T.J. Lang, Josh Sitton, JC Tretter, Bryan Bulaga, Mike Daniels, Brandon Bostick, Jordy Nelson and Datone Jones.

The following starters will not suit up for the Lions Thursday night against the Bills: Quarterback Matthew Stafford, receivers Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate, running back Reggie Bush, center Dominic Raiola, guard Rob Sims and tight end Brandon Pettigrew, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, cornerback Rashean Mathis, defensive end Jason Jones, safeties James Ihedigbo and Don Carey and linebacker Kyle Van Noy.

Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill will catch a breather for the Thursday night preseason finale against St. Louis. Matt Moore is set to start instead.

Tannehill has completed 28 of 41 passes for 291 yards with one touchdown and one interception in exhibition play. Moore has performed well at 25 of 38 for 330 yards and two scores.

The Rams placed quarterback Sam Bradford on injured reserve, formally ending his season. He tore the ACL in his left knee in Saturday's preseason game against the Browns. It's the same injury he suffered in Week 7 last season.

The Bills released quarterback Thad Lewis and will sign former Bears backup Jordan Palmer, reports NFL.com. As things stand now, Jeff Tuel figures to be EJ Manuel's backup entering Week 1.

The 49ers made several moves to trim the roster to 75 players Monday.

The team waived quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, safety D.J. Campbell, tight end Kevin Greene, running back Jewel Hampton, punt Colton Schmidt, linebacker Kion Wilson and wide receiver Devon Wylie, while also releasing wide receiver David Reed.

The team placed running back Marcus Lattimore, fullback Trey Millard, cornerback Keith Reaser and guard Brandon Thomas on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List and linebacker NaVorro Bowman, tight end Garrett Celek and defensive tackle Kaleb Ramsey were placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List. Linebacker Blake Costanzo was released from the Injured Reserve list.

With veteran Matt Schaub dealing with elbow tendinitis, Raiders coaches believe rookie Derek Carr is ready to start if needed, reports NFL Network. Carr did not play in the third preseason game after sustaining a concussion in the second game.

Vikings players were informed Monday morning that Matt Cassel will start at quarterback in the season opener at St. Louis, reports Fox Sports. Cassel put together a solid preseason to hold off rookie Teddy Bridgewater.

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton racked up 150-plus yards during Sunday's preseason game against the Cardinals.

Dalton completed 13 passes, 10 of which were split between A.J. Green and Mohamed Sanu. He compiled 157 yards through the air while completing 13 of 21 passes. He is 24 of 34 for 373 yards, with one touchdown and no interceptions this preseason.

The Broncos released the following players on Sunday: Linebacker Jamar Chaney, running back Brennan Clay, wide receiver Greg Hardin, linebacker Jerrell Harris, offensive tackle Winston Justice, safety Charles Mitchell, defensive tackle Will Pericak, quarterback Bryn Renner, defensive end Chase Vaughn, running back Jerodis Williams and wide receiver Greg Wilson.
