White completed 14 of 26 passes for 132 yards in Thursday's preseason loss to the Buccaneers.

The second-year QB got the start in the final preseason game but had another ineffective showing. White played into the third quarter but only managed to lead the Cowboys' offense to a single field goal, and his fumble on a first-quarter sack led to Tampa Bay's first TD of the night. Despite being a fifth-round pick in 2018, his lack of development has not only cost him a shot at overtaking Cooper Rush for the job of Dak Prescott's backup, but possibly a spot on the roster altogether, even as a member of the practice squad.

Christion completed 11 of 17 passes for 142 yards and a touchdown with one interception in Thursday's preseason loss to the Buccaneers.

He also ran the ball five times for a team-high 22 yards. Mike White got the start for the Cowboys but was ineffective yet again, leading the offense to only one field goal in the first half. Meanwhile, Jalen Guyton did most of the work on his fourth-quarter TD connection with Christion, but it still goes down on the latter's ledger. The undrafted rookie free is expected to wind up on the practice squad, but his performance this preseason might have been good enough to convince the team to let White go and stick with Christion as their No. 3 QB behind Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush.

Smith suffered a knee injury during Thursday's preseason game against the Raiders and is questionable to return, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Smith was examined by team trainers immediately after suffering the injury, though he was spotted on the sideline shortly after with his helmet on, likely indicating that he's OK.

Jones completed all four of his passes for 47 yards in Thursday's preseason finale against the Patriots.

Jones played only the opening drive, but he once again showed tremendous accuracy. His preseason completion percentage was 85.3 (29/34), so don't be surprised to see Giants fans start clamoring for the sixth overall pick to start under center as soon as something goes awry for Eli Manning. Given Jones' strong preseason, Big Blue should have no qualms about throwing the rookie into the fire if this season starts to resemble last year's 5-11 campaign or the 3-13 debacle before that.

Stidham completed 18 of 28 passes for 225 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Thursday's 31-29 loss to the Giants in the Patriots' preseason finale. He also rushed seven times for 50 yards and lost a fumble.

Stidham played the entire game, as New England wanted to get an extended look at its rookie fourth-rounder. He also got to work with some of the team's top wideout options -- Julian Edelman played the opening drive, while both Demaryius Thomas and Josh Gordon played the first five. Stidham was most effective throwing to Thomas -- the two connected seven times for 87 yards, including touchdowns of 35 and three yards. Despite this promising performance, Stidham is expected to open the season third on the depth chart behind veterans Tom Brady and Brian Hoyer.

Savage completed five of nine passes for 157 yards during Thursday's preseason game against the Browns.

Savage evidently cleared concussion protocol sometime within the past couple of weeks and ultimately got the starting nod for Thursday's finale, only to get sacked on Detroit's first offensive snap. It seems he's still considered the No. 2 quarterback behind Matthew Stafford despite the missed time.

Allen completed four of six attempts for 41 yards and rushed once for 13 yards in Thursday night's 25-19 preseason win over the Steelers.

Allen, who entered Carolina's third preseason game behind starter Cam Newton, drew the start in the team's final exhibition outing. Despite playing merely one series, Allen helped set up a field-goal opportunity, even though the ensuing kick was blocked. With rookie Will Grier committing two costly turnovers after Allen exited, it probably wouldn't be surprising if Allen is named the Panthers' second-string quarterback ahead of Week 1. Despite his recent foot issue, Newton is still fully anticipated to play.

Grier completed 11 of 18 passes for 189 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Thursday night's 25-19 preseason win over the Steelers. He also rushed once for five yards but lost a fumble.

Grier entered the game after watching Kyle Allen put the Panthers in field-goal range on their first offensive drive. Although a 54-yard completion on Grier's first attempt helped him get the team to the five-yard line on their second series, he was subsequently stripped while attempting a potential touchdown pass, suddenly resulting in an 88-yard return for a score the other way. Grier would rebound from that disappointment by leading a field-goal drive immediately after, and he also found Aldrick Robinson for a 34-yard TD toward the end of the second quarter, but an interception from his own 14-yard line set up a Pittsburgh touchdown just before halftime. Overall, it was an uneven outing for the rookie, leaving it questionable whether he or Allen will serve as Cam Newton's backup in Week 1.

McSorley completed 15 of 27 passes for 171 yards and a touchdown during Thursday's 20-7 preseason win over Washington. He added eight yards on two carries.

McSorley continued his steady improvement throughout the preseason, completing his second consecutive game without a turnover all while making some big throws, including a 24-yard shot to Jaleel Scott to give Baltimore a second-quarter lead. His frenetic style makes him a nice option to develop as Lamar Jackson's backup, but, given Jackson's own inexperience, it would be foolish to look anywhere else outside of Robert Griffin for the top backup job. McSorley figures to be destined for the practice squad or, at best, QB3.

Minshew completed 11 of 26 pass attempts for 79 yards during Thursday's 31-12 preseason loss to Atlanta.

Minshew and the Jacksonville offense were only able to manufacture six points on 10 drives, before Alex McGough led the Jaguars to six points over the final 17 minutes of regulation. The receiving corps did not do the rookie any favors -- Tyre Brady alone having four drops -- but Minshew's lackluster performance in the finale brings his preseason completion rate to 56.3 percent, with 4.9 yards per attempt and zero touchdown passes on 96 throws.
