The Panthers released Butker on Wednesday, Bill Voth of the team's official site reports.

After fighting veteran Graham Gano throughout training camp for kicking duties, Butker ended up losing the job battle, but was surprisingly kept on the 53-man roster for the Week 1 win over the 49ers. However, Butker was deemed expendable once cornerback Ladarius Gunter, who was waived by Green Bay on Tuesday, became available on the open market.

Koo had his only field-goal attempt blocked in Monday's loss to the Broncos. He did make all three of his extra-point attempts.

The blocked field goal ended a valiant comeback effort from the Chargers, who trailed by 17 points entering the fourth quarter but trailed by just three points in the final seconds of the contest. Koo had actually made the 44-yard attempt initially, but Broncos head coach Vance Joseph called a timeout prior to the kick, nullifying the potential game-tying field goal.

Elliot was signed to the Eagles' active roster Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Elliot lost out on the Bengals' kicking job to Randy Bullock, but the kicker remained on the team's practice squad. With Caleb Stugis (hip flexor) placed on IR on Tuesday, Elliot will take over as the Eagles' primary kicker.

Myers converted three of his four field-goal attempts in the Jaguars' Week 1 win over Houston.

Myers was a bit shaky in the preseason, and that carried over to Week 1, as he misfired on a 39-yard attempt in the fourth quarter, in addition to missing an extra point. Still, Myers' job doesn't look to be in much jeopardy at this point, and he's converted better than 80 percent of his field goals dating back to the start of the 2015 season.

Sturgis (hip flexor) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Sturgis has been given a timetable of four weeks after suffering the injury in his plant leg. With the open roster spot, the team will sign Jake Elliott off of the Bengals' practice squad to fill in for Sturgis in his absence.

Tucker connected on both of his field-goal attempts Sunday and converted both of his extra-point attempts in a win over the Bengals.

Tucker was automatic on all four of his tries Sunday, although none of his attempts were longer than 25 yards. He remains one of the top kickers in the game and shows no signs of slowing down. Tucker's Ravens will face a Browns club in Week 2 that looks improved on defense, so there's a chance the All-Pro kicker will see more field-goal opportunities should Baltimore struggle to find the end zone.

Hopkins was 1-for-1 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-2 on extra-point tries in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.

Hopkins connected on a his only field-goal attempt late in the third quarter, which was from 33 yards out. The Redskins offense wasn't firing on all cylinders Sunday, which left Hopkins with very little opportunities to make an impact.

Gano converted all three field-goal attempts and both extra-point tries en route to 11 points Sunday against the 49ers.

Gano was preferred to rookie Harrison Butker, who was inactive despite also making Carolina's 53-man roster. While it remains to be seen how the Panthers will deal with having two kickers around, the incumbent Gano only boosted his chances of keeping the job with his performance, as he converted from 39, 36 and 20 yards on his trio of three-point attempts.

Walsh made all three of his field-goal attempts Sunday in the season opener at Green Bay, the longest which came from 41 yards.

Walsh was responsible for all of Seattle's points, as the offense was inept all day. Few scoring opportunities could be a recurring theme for the Walsh if the offensive line doesn't block better.

McManus signed a four-year deal with the Broncos on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

McManus is in the midst of his fourth season with Denver. The deal likely ensures a long-term stay with the Broncos, provided McManus continues to thrive.
