  • Lane caught one pass on two targets for nine yards during the Ravens' 13-3 preseason win over the Vikings on Saturday. Quarterback Tyler Huntley missed Lane on a deep pass late in the first quarter, but the duo connected on a nine-yard catch early in the second frame, which led to a 49-yard field goal by Tyler Loop two plays later. Lane has been one of the Ravens' standout players in training camp, and the rookie third-rounder flashed that potential in Baltimore's preseason opener against Philadelphia, when he caught three passes on as many targets for 38 yards and a score. Lane could work his way up to the WR2 role behind Zay Flowers with a strong finish to training camp, considering Rashod Bateman is facing charges stemming from a domestic incident in June.

  • Lane brought in all three targets for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens' 24-7 preseason win over the Eagles on Saturday. The rookie third-round pick has already been building plenty of momentum in training camp, and he carried it over to his first taste of game action of the preseason. Lane's first reception came on Baltimore's second possession and went for 18 yards, and he went on to notch a touchdown on a 16-yard grab with just over nine minutes remaining in the second quarter. Lane's performance Saturday coupled with what he's shown on the practice field seemingly gives him an inside track to the No. 3 receiver job heading into the Ravens' next preseason matchup next Saturday against the Vikings.

  • Lane has been the buzz of Ravens training camp over the first couple weeks, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports. According to Mink, Lane is making highlight-reel catches on what feels like a daily basis, and even Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com said Saturday that in his 27 years of covering the team, Lane has had the best rookie training camp he's ever seen. While Lane is doing it all on the practice field, he'll need to replicate it during preseason action if he's going to keep surging for a role in three-wide sets alongside Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Third-round rookie Lane's top competition for snaps appears to be Devontez Walker and 2026 fourth-rounder Elijah Sarratt.

  • Ravens' Ja'Kobi Lane: Bound for Baltimore
    By RotoWire

The Ravens selected Lane in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 80th overall. Lane spent his entire three-year college career in USC, with 2024 being arguably his most productive season with 43 catches for 525 yards and a team-leading 12 touchdowns across 13 games. He saw his receiving numbers increase in 2025 (49 catches for 745 yards), though he hauled in only four touchdowns across 11 games. Lane stands tall at 6-foot-4 with a long catch radius and large hands, and he also excelled as a blocker in the run game. He had issues separating from defenders in college and lacks experience on special teams, but that might not matter, as a strong offseason and training camp could establish Lane as the Ravens' WR3 behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman (illness).
