  • Henderson (ankle) is not expected to practice Tuesday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports. It was revealed earlier Tuesday that an ankle injury forced Henderson from Monday's practice session, and it appears he will not get any work in a day later. Henderson is reportedly moving fine, but Patriots Executive Vice President Eliot Wolf indicated the team is still "working through the situation," so his status remains a bit up in the air at the moment.

  • Coach Mike Vrabel said Tuesday that the game is starting to slow down for Henderson as he enters his second season, Taylor Kyles of CLNSMedia.com reports. Pass protection has remained an issue for him during training camp, but Henderson continues to make plays as a receiver and break off long runs as a rusher. Rhamondre Stevenson has also done nothing to lose his spot atop the depth chart however, after averaging 4.6 yards per carry across 14 regular-season games last season. Henderson played just 31.4 percent of the offensive snaps during New England's playoff run last season and figures to open 2026 as a low-volume, big-play threat. If Stevenson starts off slowly, gets injured or continues to have ball security issues -- he's lost six of 10 fumbles over the last two years -- Henderson has the talent to flip the backfield roles. The 2025 second-round pick is shaping up to be an upside fantasy pick, but one with a risky floor.

  • As training camp approaches, Rhamondre Stevenson and Henderson remain atop the Patriots' RB depth chart, Avery Hill of the Boston Globe reports. Though Henderson and Stevenson are in line to continue to share the rushing load in 2026, both players should still have fantasy utility while working in an offense helmed by Drake Maye. In his first year as a pro in 2025, Henderson recorded 180 carries for 911 yards and nine TDs to go along with 35 catches for 221 yards and a score in 17 regular-season contests. Meanwhile, Stevenson gained 603 yards and seven TDs on 130 carries, while adding 32 catches for 345 yards and a pair of receiving scores. While the looming time share remains an issue for Henderson's weekly fantasy floor, the 2025 second-round pick's playmaking ability makes him the upside play in New England's backfield.

  • Henderson carried the ball 12 times for 25 yards and caught one of two targets for minus-2 yards in the Patriots' 28-16 win over the Texans in the divisional round. The rookie running back's longest gain went for only six yards, and he once again took a back seat to Rhamondre Stevenson, who led New England with 70 rushing yards. Henderson hasn't made much of an impact so far in the playoffs, putting together just 59 total scrimmage yards through the Patriots' first two games, but he'll get another chance to produce a big play or two next weekend in the AFC Championship Game against the Broncos.

  • Henderson rushed nine times for 27 yards and caught his only target for nine yards in Sunday's 16-3 wild-card game win over the Chargers. Henderson struggled to find running room, with most of his rushing yards coming on a 15-yard carry on his final touch as the Patriots were running out the clock. He ceded most of the backfield touches to the much more efficient Rhamondre Stevenson, who turned 10 carries and four targets into 128 scrimmage yards. After an underwhelming playoff debut, Henderson will get an opportunity to pick up the pace in the AFC divisional round against either the Texans or Steelers while continuing to share backfield reps with Stevenson. Both of those defenses were stout against the run in the regular season and Henderson hasn't contributed much as a pass catcher recently, with only two targets in his last four games.
