Love completed 24 of 46 passes for 323 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions while adding one rush for 11 yards in the Packers' 31-27 wild-card loss to the Bears on Saturday. He also fumbled once but recovered. Love was cooking over the first two quarters of Saturday's wild-card matchup, connecting on first-half touchdown passes of seven, 18 and one yard to Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs, respectively. Following a quiet, scoreless third quarter, Love capped off a six-play, 54-yard drive with a 23-yard scoring toss to Matthew Golden that answered a Bears TD just past the midway point of the final period. However, Love couldn't counter either of Caleb Williams' two subsequent scoring strikes, although a Brandon McManus missed field goal and a pair of late drops didn't do the veteran signal-caller any favors. Love also mishandled the snap on the final play, which seemed to disrupt his timing and led to some frantic scrambling before he threw incomplete into the end zone as time expired. The furious comeback by the Bears -- the largest in Chicago's postseason history -- sends the Packers into the offseason with an extremely sour taste, but Love enjoyed a solid third year as a starter where he completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 3,381 yards with a 23:6 TD:INT and added a 47-199-0 rushing line and seven fumbles (two lost) across 15 regular-season games.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that Love will serve as the team's starting quarterback in Saturday's wild-card game in Chicago, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. After sustaining a concussion in Week 16, Love missed a Week 17 loss to the Ravens and served as the backup to third-string quarterback Clayton Tune in the regular-season finale despite clearing the league's protocol, with nothing on the line for the Packers. According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, LaFleur noted that Love still got in a "mostly normal amount of practice work" last week. The QB will benefit from another full week of practice leading up to Saturday's contest and will be aided by the expected return of right tackle Zach Tom (back), who should be available to play against the Bears after missing the Packers' final three games of the regular season, per Schneidman.

Love is listed as active Sunday in Minnesota, and he'll serve as the No. 2 QB behind starter Clayton Tune with Malik Willis (right shoulder/hamstring) inactive, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. Love cleared the concussion protocol Thursday, and at the same time coach Matt LaFleur announced that Tune would be Green Bay's starter under center for Week 18. After the team chose not to elevate Desmond Ridder from the practice squad Saturday, Love and Willis remained as the considerations for backup duties Sunday. Love's name was called over Willis, perhaps due to Willis still tending to right shoulder and hamstring injuries. Love thus has a chance for his first game action since the second quarter of a Week 16 loss at Chicago.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that Love has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol but that Clayton Tune will start at quarterback for Sunday's regular-season finale on the road against Minnesota, Bill Huber of SI.com reports. Love is on track to sit during Week 18 action as Green Bay prioritizes maintaining the starting quarterback's health for the postseason, an unsurprising decision given that the team is already locked into the No. 7 seed in the NFC side of the playoffs. LaFleur said the Packers are still working through the process of determining the backup for Tune, Weston Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports, with candidates presumably including both Malik Willis (shoulder/hamstring) and recent practice-squad signee Desmond Ridder. As such, Love wraps the regular season with 14 appearances, in which span he completed 291 of 439 pass attempts for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed 47 times for 199 yards.

Love (left shoulder/concussion) was a full practice participant Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. This marks Love's first uncapped session since he sustained a concussion Week 16 at Chicago, but coach Matt LaFleur told Matt Schneidman of The Athletic earlier Wednesday that Love still was in the concussion protocol, while also saying some starters won't suit up Sunday in Minnesota. Although No. 2 QB Malik Willis (right shoulder/hamstring) was limited Wednesday, he wasn't among the signal-callers (Love and practice-squad members Clayton Tune and Desmond Ridder) spotted throwing, according to Demovsky. The Packers are locked into the No. 7 seed on the NFC side of the playoffs, so they don't have much incentive to put Love or even Willis in harm's way, but it remains anyone guess who among that duo or Tune will be under center for Green Bay this weekend.
