Jackson missed the Ravens' Week 5 win in Atlanta due to a left ankle injury suffered one week prior, and while head coach Jesse Minter told Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com on Monday that the quarterback is "definitely doing better," his potential lack of activity to begin Week 6 prep isn't a great sign. Wednesday's practice report will unveal whether or not Jackson was able to mix into drills.

It was reported Sunday that Jackson had "a real chance" to return in Week 6, and he appears to be in the same spot several days later. Jackson's involvement in practice -- or lack thereof -- before the end of the week ultimately figures to determine whether or not he will be back under center against the Browns.

Head coach Jesse Minter said Monday that Jackson is "definitely doing better" in his recovery from a sprained left ankle, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Jackson was held out of Sunday's 30-23 overtime win over the Falcons due to a left ankle sprain that he sustained during the Ravens' Week 4 win over the Titans. Minter added that he wasn't sure whether Jackson would be cleared to practice Wednesday, and the superstar quarterback's participation during Week 6 prep will ultimately determine whether he or Tyler Huntley starts against the Browns on Oct. 18.

Jackson (ankle), who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, has a "real chance" to return to action next week against Cleveland, pending how he responds to rehab, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Jackson didn't practice in an fashion this week after he was sidelined for the entire second half of last Sunday's win over the Titans, but the Ravens remain optimistic that his ankle injury is a short-term concern. Though Tyler Huntley will get the starting nod in place of Jackson against Atlanta, Rapoport notes that the Ravens' franchise quarterback has been "in the building early working crazy to get himself back on the field" this week. Assuming the rehab work Jackson has put in translates into him returning to practice at some point next week, he should be able to meet his goal of playing after a one-game absence.
