• Tyreek Hill: Vows to continue playing career

  Hill (knee) announced Monday via his personal Instagram account that he plans to continue his playing career, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Hill suffered a gruesome knee injury in Week 4 of last season and required surgery to repair a dislocated knee and multiple torn ligaments. Afterward, Hill suggested he would have to contemplate whether to continue his playing career. He seems to have made a decision and will return to game action, though it's unclear when he'll be 100 percent healthy. Turning 32 years old in 13 days, Hill was released by the Dolphins on Monday and is eligible to sign elsewhere immediately. Interested teams will obviously need to do extensive medical checks on the veteran wideout.

  Hill (knee - ACL) is among players slated to be released by Miami, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Hill, who will turn 32 on March 1, is set to become a free agent due to his release being effective immediately, per Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com. The transaction will result in roughly $28.2 million in dead salary cap for the Dolphins. Hill played just four regular-season games with Miami in 2025 before suffering a significant season-ending injury, a dislocated left knee and multiple torn ligaments, including his ACL, for which he underwent surgery late September. While all indications are that the veteran wideout's recovery has proceeded on track, it could still be difficult for him to gain full clearance for Week 1 of the 2026 campaign, and Hill expressed last October that he is weighing whether or not to continue his playing career.

  Hill (knee) hasn't decided if he will continue playing football or retire from the NFL, ESPN.com reports. Hill's immediate focus is on his recovery from a significant knee injury suffered Sept. 29 against the Jets. What will come after that for the 31-year-old wide receiver has yet to be determined. Hill's under contract with the Dolphins in 2026 at a cap hit of $52 million, but Miami can void the deal and instead incur just over $28 million of dead cap space. Even in the most optimistic recovery scenario, Hill will be hard-pressed to be ready for the start of the 2026 season.

  Hill (knee) has officially been placed on IR by the Dolphins. Per Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN, Hill -- who underwent a major procedure Tuesday to repair his dislocated left knee and multiple torn ligaments, including his ACL -- won't need additional surgery, with agent Drew Rosenhaus indicating afterward that the wideout will play next season, while noting that "the realistic goal is the start of the season." In Hill's absence for the rest of the 2025 campaign, Malik Washington and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine are in line to see expanded roles alongside top WR Jaylen Waddle, with Dee Eskridge, Cedrick Wilson and Tahj Washington available to mix in.

Hill's agent Drew Rosenhaus indicated that the receiver's surgery "went very well according to his doctors," and a return to game action at the start of the 2026 season is considered a "realistic goal." Though the 31-year-old will face the tough challenge of working his way back from a major knee injury that included an ACL repair, the fact that he seemingly avoided any nerve damage and won't need multiple surgeries bodes well for his long-term outlook. That being said, his availability for the start of next season is far from guaranteed, and Hill may well have played his last snap as a Dolphin. He remains under contract for 2026 at a base salary of $29.9 million, but none of that money is currently guaranteed, and Miami could cut him at no cost up until the third day of the new league year in March.
