Quantrill (3-3) allowed two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out one over three innings to take the loss versus the White Sox on Wednesday.

Tyler Alexander allowed one run over the first two innings of the game before Quantrill came in for a bulk-relief assignment. It wasn't an encouraging performance, as Quantrill threw 30 of 55 pitches for strikes and gave up a pair of runs in the fourth inning, which was ultimately the difference. Over four games in July, Quantrill has yielded 12 runs (11 earned) across 18 innings with a 7:6 K:BB. He's posted a 4.05 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 32:17 K:BB through 53.1 innings over 21 games (five starts) overall. Quantrill could be at risk of losing his rotation spot once Jordan Montgomery (elbow) is activated from the 60-day injured list -- Montgomery has posted a 5.52 ERA over 14.2 innings across six outings during his rehab assignment.

Meidroth went 4-for-4 with two RBI in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Rangers.

His first two hits of the game were RBI singles. Meidroth has had a fairly consistent July at the plate, batting .293 (17-for-58) with four multi-hit efforts over 16 games. However, just three of those hits have gone for extra bases, and he's added only seven RBI. Meidroth is batting .277 with a .729 OPS, seven home runs, 34 RBI, 57 runs scored, 17 doubles and two stolen bases over 98 contests this season.

Hudson struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Rangers.

Hudson earned his fourth save of the season and first since June 10 versus Atlanta. The White Sox weren't in a pinch with the bullpen after using just two relievers Tuesday and with an off day ahead, so it's at least interesting Hudson got the save chance. Grant Taylor worked a two-inning relief outing earlier in the game and Sean Newcomb didn't pitch. The White Sox's bullpen remains firmly in committee mode, making it tough for fantasy managers to target any one reliever for saves. Hudson has played his role well, pitching to a 2.08 ERA despite a 1.20 WHIP and 42:16 K:BB through 43.1 innings. He's added four saves in six chances this season, in addition to six holds.

Larnach went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, two additional RBI and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 10-6 win over the Guardians.

This was Larnach's second multi-hit effort in the series against Cleveland to continue his hot run at the plate. In his last 30 games, the 29-year-old is batting .352 with five homers, 20 RBI, 17 runs and a .990 OPS. That hot hitting has boosted Larnach's slash line to .291/.380/.449 through 84 contests this year.

Kay (7-4) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four over five innings to earn the win over the Rangers on Wednesday.

Kay gave up a home run for the third straight outing, but he was otherwise good enough to get the win as the White Sox did enough damage against the Rangers' bullpen game. In July, Kay has allowed seven runs over 18.1 innings across four outings, but he's fallen short of the five-inning mark twice -- though one start was shortened by rain. He's at a 4.21 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 80:40 K:BB through 98.1 innings over 21 games (19 starts) on the season. Kay is also far and away the major-league leader in hit batsmen with 19, six more than the Mets' Nolan McLean in second place. Kay is projected to make his next start at home versus the Yankees.

Encarnacion-Strand went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a 6-3 loss to the Red Sox during Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader.

Encarnacion-Strand has made an immediate impact since being recalled from Triple-A Norfolk, going 6-for-16 with two home runs and four RBI over four games for the Orioles thus far. With Blaze Alexander (hand) and Samuel Basallo (shoulder) both on the injured list, the door is open for Encarnacion-Strand to claim a steady role either at third base or designated hitter if he continues to wield a hot bat.

Rea (7-7) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five over five innings to take the loss versus the Tigers on Wednesday.

Rea gave up all four runs on a pair of long balls -- a solo shot by Spencer Torkelson in the second inning and a three-run blast by Hao-Yu Lee in the fourth. Rea has allowed 13 runs (12 earned) over 21.1 innings in July, giving up five homers in that span. For the season, the right-hander has a 4.85 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 81:38 K:BB through 105.2 innings over 21 appearances (17 starts). Rea is tentatively projected to make his next start on the road in St. Louis.

Montero (7-5) allowed one run on three hits and struck out eight without walking a batter over 5.1 innings to earn the win over the Cubs on Wednesday.

Montero was back in the rotation for the first time since he threw seven shutout innings June 26 versus the Astros. The right-hander had moved to the bullpen for much of July, but he could take claim of a starting role once again since Jack Flaherty (forearm) went on the injured list Tuesday and Casey Mize is dealing with groin tightness and a wrist issue. For the season, Montero has been a fine option in any role, pitching to a 3.14 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 78:22 K:BB through 106 innings over 22 appearances (16 starts). Assuming Montero remains the top option to cover a starting role in Flaherty's absence, the former is lined up for a home start versus the Orioles early next week.

Suzuki went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Tigers.

Suzuki provided all of Chicago's offense in the first inning when he delivered his 17th home run of the season. The talented outfielder has hit five of those long balls in 16 games this month, and he's sporting a robust .996 OPS in July. Suzuki seems poised to once again post big numbers as a key cog of Chicago's potent offensive attack.

Gamboa will remain with the Red Sox after serving as the 27th man during Wednesday's doubleheader against Baltimore, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

Gamboa was originally expected to return to Triple-A Worcester after the conclusion of Wednesday's twin bill, but it'll instead be Eduardo Rivera who heads back to the minors to get Boston back within the 26-man limit. Gamboa pitched a scoreless inning Wednesday to bring his ERA down to 2.00 through nine frames, and he's likely to remain in a middle-relief role with Boston.
