Ortiz is not in the lineup for Monday's game in Boston.

Ortiz appears to be getting a routine day off and will exit the lineup for the third time in 10 contests this season. David Hamilton will handle shortstop duties for the Brewers on Monday and Luis Rengifo will cover third base.

Cook is likely sidelined through April with a hamstring injury, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.

The speedy lefty-hitting outfielder hasn't been assigned to an affiliate yet, as he's presumably waiting back in extended spring training in Florida while he recovers. Cook turns 23 in July, so he could get pushed to High-A Vancouver before season's end.

Frelick (side) will start in right field and bat seventh in Monday's game versus the Red Sox.

Frelick suffered a left side injury during Saturday's doubleheader with the Royals and didn't play in Sunday's 8-5 win in the series finale, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go in Monday's contest. The 25-year-old outfielder has slashed .192/.344/.346 with one home run and a 5:6 BB:K in his first 32 plate appearances this season.

The Blue Jays selected Fleming's contract from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday.

Toronto will swap Fleming into the bullpen in place of right-hander Austin Voth, who was designated for assignment after covering 2.2 innings in relief during Sunday's 3-0 loss to the White Sox. Like Voth before him, Fleming is expected to serve as a multi-inning option out of the bullpen and is likely to see most of his usage in lower-leverage spots. Fleming last saw MLB action with the Pirates in 2024, logging a 4.02 ERA and 1.53 WHIP over 31.1 innings across 25 appearances (three starts).

The Blue Jays designated Voth for assignment Monday.

Just one day after being called up from Triple-A Buffalo, Voth will surrender his spot on Toronto's 40-man roster. The right-hander will be replaced by lefty Josh Fleming, whose contract was selected from Buffalo in a corresponding move. Fleming will provide the Blue Jays with a fresh arm capable of covering multiple frames out of the bullpen after Voth yielded one earned run on three hits and one walk across 2.2 innings during his Toronto debut in Sunday's 3-0 loss to the White Sox.

The Brewers recalled Drohan from Triple-A Nashville on Monday.

Acquired from the Red Sox in February, Drohan turned in a strong spring for the Brewers (4.26 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 15:4 K:B in 12.2 innings), but he was unable to come away with a spot on the Opening Day roster. After beginning the season in the Triple-A rotation, Drohan didn't have to wait long to get his first call-up to Milwaukee. The 27-year-old southpaw will be a candidate to make starts down the road, but for the time being, he'll serve as a multi-inning relief option out of the Brewers bullpen. Milwaukee placed fellow lefty Jared Koenig (elbow) on the injured list in a corresponding move.

The Brewers placed Koenig on the 15-day injured list Monday with a left elbow sprain.

The left-hander has been diagnosed with UCL damage but will attempt to rehab the injury, per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He's expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks. Koenig has been a valuable piece out of the Milwaukee bullpen since 2024, posting a 2.62 ERA and 24.7 percent strikeout rate. His spot on the roster and in the bullpen will be filled by Shane Drohan, who was recalled from Triple-A Nashville.

Church is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.

Right-hander Zack Littell is taking the ball for the Nationals, marking the first time in eight games versus righties this season that the left-handed-hitting Church has been out of the lineup. Jose Fermin will handle left field and bat eighth for the Cardinals. Church is just 3-for-26 with a 1:8 BB:K at the dish this season.

Smith is sidelined at High-A Bowling Green with a hamstring injury, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.

Smith is not officially listed on the injured list, but he hasn't played in a game yet this season. Once healthy, Smith could soon earn a bump to Double-A, as he played in 102 games at High-A last year.

Pages is not in the lineup for Monday's game versus the Nationals.

Pages will begin the contest on the bench as Ivan Herrera gets a start at catcher. The 27-year-old Pages has drawn starts in six of 10 games thus far and appeared off the bench in one additional contest.
