Kerkering (4-0) was charged with a blown save but credited with the win Tuesday against Washington, allowing three runs on two hits and one walk in the eighth inning. He struck out two.

Kerkering squandered a 6-5 lead in the eighth frame, but the Phillies immediately came storming back in the form of an eight-run ninth inning to get the hurler off the hook. The 25-year-old right-hander has been a fairly effective setup man for closer Jhoan Duran in 2026 otherwise, posting a 3.03 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 34:14 K:BB with five holds across 29.2 innings.

Aranda went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 12-5 loss to the Royals.

Aranda has a modest six-game hitting streak going, continuing what's been a steady campaign at the dish while hitting primarily either second or third in the Rays' lineup. Through 328 plate appearances, the first baseman is slashing .278/.381/.447 with 12 home runs, 10 doubles, 44 RBI and 38 runs scored.

Luzardo did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 14-9 win against the Nationals, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks with 13 strikeouts over 6.2 innings.

Luzardo struggled through a four-run fourth inning but was otherwise electric, generating 19 whiffs on 104 pitches and matching a career high with 13 strikeouts. It continued an uneven June for the 28-year-old, who's had two five-run outings while yielding three earned runs combined in his other two starts this month. He'll carry a 4.39 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 110:30 K:BB across 92.1 innings this season into a road matchup against the Mets this weekend.

Manager Carlos Mendoza said after Tuesday's game against the Cubs that Soto (back) is considered day-to-day, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.

Mendoza said that Soto's back locked up on him during the game, which had an impact on his ability to throw and swing. The fact that the team has labeled him as day-to-day bodes well for his chances of avoiding the injured list, though the 27-year-old star could still sit out a game or two as a precaution. MJ Melendez and Eric Wagaman would be candidates to start in the outfield during any games Soto might miss.

Corniell (0-1) took the loss against the Marlins on Tuesday, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts over 3.1 innings.

Corniell relieved Cal Quantrill in the third inning and struggled, allowing one run in the fourth before enduring a four-run fifth. In just two major-league appearances between 2025 and 2026, the 23-year-old has surrendered eight earned runs across just five frames. It's unclear what his role will be moving forward, but if he remains part of the equation for replacing Jack Leiter (ankle), he could pitch again this weekend against the Blue Jays.

Mack went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Rangers.

Mack gave the Marlins a lead they wouldn't relinquish with a solo shot in the fourth inning before adding an RBI single in the fifth. The rookie has now gone deep in three of his past eight games, a stretch in which he's hit safely in six contests to go along with five RBI and seven runs scored. He's certainly held his own so far, slashing .259/.317/.405 with four homers, 18 RBI and 18 runs scored across 116 major-league plate appearances.

Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a home run, a triple and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Marlins.

Nimmo came on strong late, homering in the eighth inning before adding an RBI triple in the ninth. While the long ball was his first of the month, the 33-year-old is hitting .312 in June and is riding a seven-game hitting streak that includes five multi-hit efforts. On the year, he's slashing .271/.337/.435 with eight home runs, 28 RBI, 32 runs scored and three steals across 332 plate appearances.

Hernandez 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, a walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Rangers.

Hernandez was a consistent contributor all game, highlighted by a solo homer that put the Marlins on the board in the second inning. It continued a strong June for the 26-year-old, who's tallied six of his eight home runs for the year through 16 games this month. On the season, he's slashing .235/.306/.425 with 29 RBI, 17 runs scored and five steals to go along with the aforementioned eight long balls across 170 plate appearances.

Gelof was removed from Tuesday's game against the Giants with a right hand laceration and contusion, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports.

Matt Chapman stepped on Gelof's hand while the latter tagged out the former at second base in the second inning. Gelof came out of the game immediately afterward, and it's unclear whether his injury will force him to miss additional games. The 26-year-old failed to record a base hit during his lone at-bat of the game, marking the end of his 24-game hitting streak.

Alcantara (8-4) earned the win against the Rangers on Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts over 6.2 innings.

Alcantara allowed a run in the second inning and cruised from there, logging his fifth straight quality-start victory in the process. Per Christina De Nicola of MLB.com, he passed Ricky Nolasco to become the Marlins' all-time strikeout leader (1,002) in the seventh frame. The 30-year-old Alcantara will carry a 4.01 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 81:27 K:BB across 110 innings this season into a road matchup against the Rockies next week.
