Stewart (shoulder) threw a simulated inning of live batting practice Thursday, MLB.com reports.

Assuming Stewart checked out fine coming out of Thursday's workout, he could be cleared to report to a minor-league affiliate during the upcoming week to begin a rehab assignment. Before landing on the injured list July 31 due to right shoulder tendinitis, Stewart had logged a 2.45 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB while collecting one save and four holds in 14.2 innings out of the Los Angeles bullpen.

Williamson (shoulder) struck out two and allowed one earned run on five hits and no walks across 3.2 innings in a rehab appearance Sunday with Triple-A Louisville.

Taking the hill for the fourth start of his rehab assignment, Williamson built up to 63 pitches (47 strikes) and induced seven whiffs while averaging 92.7 mph with his four-seam fastball. The Reds will likely decide on Williamson's next step within the next couple of days, but the left-shoulder shouldn't need more than one more tune-up outing in the minors before returning from the 60-day injured list. With Rhett Lowder performing well over the past month as the Reds' No. 5 starter, Williamson may not have a path to the rotation once he's activated and could have to settle for a long-relief role.

Gonzales was promoted to Double-A Portland on Sunday, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

Gonzales will make the jump to the Double-A level after batting .271 with 17 home runs, 58 RBI, 68 runs scored and 11 stolen bases over 350 at-bats in 89 contests with High-A Greenville this season. The 19-year-old is an incredibly impressive batter for his age, and he is considered to be one of Boston's top overall prospects.

Kent is listed as the Nationals' probable starting pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Rangers at Globe Life Field, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

The 23-year-old lefty will return to the hill after an uneven MLB debut last Wednesday, when he held the Cubs scoreless through the first four innings before unraveling in the fifth. Kent ended up settling for a no-decision, recording six strikeouts while giving up three earned runs on three hits and five walks. Though his strong 7.8 percent walk rate over 94.1 innings in the minors this season offers hope that the shaky control he showed against the Cubs was an outlier performance, Kent will probably need to string together a few quality performances in the majors before fantasy managers can use him with a higher degree of confidence.

Quantrill is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Nationals at Globe Life Field.

The Rangers moved Quantrill to the bullpen last weekend, but he made just one relief appearance before he was plugged back into the rotation after Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) landed on the injured list. After taking a no-decision last Wednesday against the Angels while giving up one run over five innings, Quantrill will be awarded a second straight start. He'll tentatively line up for a two-start week, with another turn through the rotation awaiting him next Sunday at home versus the Angels.

Tredwell (shoulder) struck out three and allowed one run on one hit and four walks over 3.2 innings Friday in a start for Double-A Corpus Christi after being reinstated from the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

Tredwell made his 2026 debut after a strained shoulder had kept him on the shelf since the spring. Listed at 6-foot-8 and 245 pounds, Tredwell strikes an imposing presence on the mound but lacks the premium velocity that his frame would suggest, as his fastball typically sits in the low-90s.

Woo (shoulder) was lifted after throwing 75 pitches in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Astros, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Woo finished his day having tossed six innings, allowing two runs on three hits and walk while striking out five batters on his way to a win. The right-hander began experiencing right shoulder soreness, and as a result, he was removed from the game after six frames. Manager Dan Wilson described the decision as precautionary, and Woo said the soreness was "nothing he was concerned about." With the victory, Woo now owns a 9-8 record with a 4.10 ERA and 137 strikeouts over 138.1 innings in 24 starts this season.

The Cubs will promote Conrad from Single-A Myrtle Beach to High-A South Bend on Monday.

The 22-year-old outfielder will head to the Midwest League after slashing .252/.331/.441 with four home runs in 124 plate appearances with Myrtle Beach. The No. 17 overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft, Conrad is viewed as one of the Cubs' top lower-level prospects.

Rodriguez (elbow) has a 6.14 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB over 7.1 innings during his minor-league rehab assignment.

Rodriguez pitched back-to-back days for Triple-A Durham on Friday and Saturday, which is likely the final hurdle that he had left to climb before joining the Rays, per MLB.com. The right-hander is just about fully recovered from right elbow surgery he underwent in August of last year, and Rodriguez could be activated from the injured list as early as this week.

Vilade went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 10-2 loss to the Orioles.

Vilade recorded his first homer of the month of August on Sunday. The utility player is playing a part-time role, but he's been an effective weapon for the Rays versus left-handed pitching. Vilade sports an .863 OPS in 114 at-bats against left-handers as opposed to a .682 OPS in 66 at-bats against righties this season.
