Taveras is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in Tampa Bay.

Taveras had started the last four and nine of the past 10 contests, but he will begin Monday's tilt on the bench. Jeremiah Jackson, Christian Franklin and Tyler O'Neill will patrol the outfield for the Orioles.

Cowser is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

The Orioles will send the left-handed-hitting Cowser for the second time in the series while the Rays send another southpaw (Shane McClanahan) to the bump. Christian Franklin will draw the start in center field in place of Cowser and will bat ninth.

Beavers is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

The left-handed-hitting Beavers will be relegated to the bench for the third time in four games while the Orioles go up against a third lefty starter (Shane McClanahan) during that stretch. Jeremiah Jackson will fill in for Beavers in left field and will bat seventh.

Jones was scratched from Monday's lineup in Baltimore, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Jones is presumably dealing with some sort of injury, but the Red Sox have yet to provide details. Mickey Gasper will enter the lineup at designated hitter, and Nick Sogard will move up to the leadoff spot.

Heim is absent from the lineup for Monday's tilt in Kansas City.

Heim has essentially been an everyday player for the Athletics over the past two months, but he will begin Monday's contest on the bench. Brian Serven will handle catching duties for the Athletics in the series opener.

The Rockies designated Lorenzen for assignment Monday.

Lorenzen maintained good health throughout the season while eating innings out of the rotation, but that was about his only positive takeaway from his time with the Rockies. Colorado will cut bait with the 34-year-old righty after he went 3-11 with a 7.08 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 82:49 K:BB in 115.2 frames over 26 appearances (25 starts). Given that any team putting in a claim for Lorenzen would have to assume the money left on his $8 million contract for 2026, he's likely to pass through waivers before the Rockies officially release him.

The Rockies recalled Shook from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.

Shook made four relief appearances for the Rockies earlier this season, allowing six runs with a 6:3 K:BB over 5.2 innings. The 28-year-old will provide the Colorado bullpen with a fresh arm after the relief corps covered five innings in Sunday's win over the Giants.

Rodon (elbow) will be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday's contest in Baltimore, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.

Rodon breezed through 4.1 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts in his second and final rehab start Thursday with Double-A Somerset. He threw only 58 pitches in that outing, so Rodon won't have enough stamina to pitch deep into Tuesday's game. Rodon had been on the shelf since early July due to left elbow inflammation.

Story (sports hernia) said that he could be reinstated from the 60-day injured list as soon as Friday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Story has been on the shelf since May 16 following sports hernia surgery, but he's finally nearing the finish line of what's been a lengthy recovery process. He kicked off a rehab assignment Sunday at Triple-A Worcester and went 1-for-2 at the dish while playing four innings at shortstop. Story is scheduled to play for Worcester on consecutive days Tuesday and Wednesday before rejoining the Red Sox for a re-evaluation. If the Red Sox medical staff is satisfied with Story's health, he could get the green light to return to action for the big club during their weekend series with the Giants. Once activated, Story will likely usurp Andruw Monasterio as the Red Sox's preferred option at shortstop.

Goodman (shoulder) will start at catcher and bat third in Monday's game against the Dodgers.

Goodman has been cleared to resume his usual duties behind plate following a three-game absence due to left shoulder inflammation. While the Rockies could look to build in an off day for Goodman during their six-game week at Coors Field, fantasy managers should have no hesitation about keeping the two-time All-Star catcher active now that he's been confirmed to start in the series opener with the Dodgers.
