Mickey Moniak CF | COL
Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Strikes out seven in win Friday
Glasnow (2-0) earned the win Friday against the Rockies, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts across seven innings.
Glasnow surrendered a leadoff double to Mickey Moniak in the bottom of the fourth inning, and Moniak came around to score on a groundout for the Rockies' only run of the night. It was a big rebound outing for Glasnow after he served up a couple homers and four runs to the Rangers his last time out. Glasnow has gone at least six innings in all four starts and has three quality starts under his belt. The right-hander now owns a 3.24 ERA and 29:6 K:BB across 25 innings. The Dodgers are using a six-man rotation, so Glasnow's next start is lined up for Thursday against the Giants in San Francisco.

Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Hits eighth homer in loss
Alvarez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 9-4 loss to the Cardinals.

The lefty slugger's longest home run drought is three games this season. He also has six doubles on the year. Alvarez has started all 21 games to this point and is slashing .333/.479/.750 with the eight homers, 19 RBI, 17 runs scored, one stolen base and an 18:10 BB:K across 94 plate appearances. Rays' Yoendrys Gomez: Continues to struggle in 2026
Gomez allowed two runs on two hits and two walks in two innings Friday against Pittsburgh. He struck out three.
Gomez has now given up at least one run in five of his first six outings of 2026, having turned in a lone scoreless appearance back during the Opening Day loss to St. Louis. Through his first 12.1 innings, the right-hander has a ghastly 7.30 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 9:7 K:BB, and he is likely to continue serving in mop-up duty and low-leverage spots.

Peter Lambert RP | HOU
Astros' Peter Lambert: Strikes out eight in return to MLB
Lambert (0-1) took the loss Friday against the Cardinals, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk with eight strikeouts across five innings.
Lambert had his contract selected from Triple-A Sugar Land earlier in the day Friday and made his first major-league start in nearly two full calendar years. He spent the 2025 season pitching in Japan before signing with Houston this past winter. Lambert had the Cardinals off balance with his changeup in particular and averaged 95.2 mph with his four-seamer. The right-hander likely showed enough to warrant another start with Houston's pitching staff depleted by injuries. Lambert is lined up to face the Guardians in Cleveland next week.

Tim Mayza RP | PHI
Phillies' Tim Mayza: Two scoreless frames Friday
Mayza allowed one hit and no walks in two scoreless innings Friday against Atlanta.

He's slashing .232/.368/.377 with nine RBI, 16 runs scored, four stolen bases and a 13:14 BB:K across his first 87 career plate appearances.
