Daniel Lynch IV RP | KC
Royals' Daniel Lynch: Hammered early in loss
Lynch (4-5) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Friday, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk without recording a strikeout over five innings.
Lynch was tagged for four runs in the first inning but did manage to settle in and log a season-high five innings. The 29-year-old also failed to record a strikeout for the first time in six outings since entering the rotation Aug. 7, and he owns an uninspiring 11:8 K:BB over that span. He'll carry a 3.51 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 46:20 K:BB across 66.2 innings this season into a home matchup with the Diamondbacks next week.

Ranger Suarez SP | BOS
Red Sox's Ranger Suarez: Blanks Baltimore over seven frames
Suarez (6-4) earned the win against the Orioles on Friday, allowing five hits and one walk while striking out three across seven scoreless innings.
Friday was a nice bounce-back performance from Suarez after his last outing against the Yankees on Sunday, when he allowed six runs over 5.1 innings in a loss. The veteran southpaw induced only three whiffs, but he also recorded 10 groundouts while allowing one baserunner in five of his seven frames, needing only 91 pitches (61 strikes) to complete seven scoreless. This was Suarez's first scoreless start of six or more innings since June 19 against the Mariners. His next start is lined up for next week at home against the Angels.

Chase DeLauter RF | CLE
Guardians' Chase DeLauter: Labeled day-to-day for now
Manager Stephen Vogt said after Friday's doubleheader against the Tigers that DeLauter (wrist) is considered day-to-day, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
DeLauter was diagnosed with a right wrist sprain after leaving the second game of Friday's twin bill. However, when Vogt was asked if it's an IL situation for DeLauter, the skipper said, "We don't think so. We're very much day-to-day right now." The Guardians will wait and see how DeLauter feels Saturday before determining his availability for the rest of the series.

Janson Junk SP | MIA
Marlins' Janson Junk: Takes tough-luck loss
Junk (6-9) took the loss against the Cubs on Friday, allowing one run on three hits and one walk with four strikeouts over five innings.
Junk allowed just one run in the second inning but was outdueled by Shota Imanaga. While he's exceeded five frames only once in 10 outings (one relief appearance) since the All-Star break, the 30-year-old Junk has limited opponents to two earned runs or fewer in nine of those contests. He'll carry a 4.00 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 74:29 K:BB across 108 innings this season into a home matchup with the Mets next week.

Mickey Gasper DH | BOS
Red Sox's Mickey Gasper: Supplies lone run Friday
Gasper went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during the Red Sox's 1-0 win over the Orioles on Friday.
Gasper's solo homer off Shane Baz in the first inning proved to be the only run scored in Friday's affair. Gasper has made the most of his opportunities in the big leagues, and the Red Sox will lean on him now due to Willson Contreras (hamstring) being on the 10-day injured list. Since mid-August, Gasper has gone 17-for-45 (.378) with eight home runs, 15 RBI and 11 runs scored. If he continues his strong play at the plate, the Red Sox may have to make some tough roster decisions when one of Contreras, Curtis Mead (wrist) or Masataka Yoshida (hamstring) returns from the IL.

Shota Imanaga SP | CHC
Cubs' Shota Imanaga: Posts quality start in win
Imanaga (9-10) earned the win against the Marlins on Friday, allowing one run on three hits and no walks with four strikeouts over six innings.
Imanaga cruised through six scoreless innings and was charged with a run in the seventh after departing following a leadoff single. He filled the zone with 64 strikes on 94 pitches while generating a whopping 22 whiffs, including 17 with his splitter. It's been an up-and-down campaign for the 33-year-old, but he's posted a 3.35 ERA with five quality starts in nine outings since the All-Star break. He'll take a 3.91 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 152:35 K:BB across 156.1 innings this season into a road matchup with the Brewers next week.

Rays' Bryan Baker: Leaves game with trainer
Baker left Friday's game against the Rangers with an apparent injury, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Major League Baseball's saves leader walked both batters he faced before exiting alongside the Rays' head athletic trainer. Tyler Wells took over for Baker in the ninth inning and closed the door for his sixth save of the season and second since joining Tampa Bay at the trade deadline.

J.T. Ginn SP | ATH
Athletics' J.T. Ginn: May be done for season
Ginn (undisclosed) has made minimal progress in his recovery and may not pitch again this season, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
The A's pushed Ginn back from his most recent start and will send him to see an orthopedist Saturday to get a better read on the right-hander's condition. So far, the team has not provided specifics beyond fatigue and soreness. Ginn has not yet been placed on the injured list, but it sounds like that could happen in the coming days.

Trent Grisham CF | NYY
Yankees' Trent Grisham: Leaves with hamstring discomfort
Grisham was removed from Friday's game against the Padres with right hamstring discomfort, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Phillips notes that it's the same hamstring that sent Grisham to the injured list earlier this season, though the outfielder has said that he's been healthy since coming back in July. Regardless, Grisham has been in a bad way at the dish, as he entered Friday with just four hits in his last 44 at-bats.
