Rice went 1-for-3 with two walks and a solo home run in Saturday's 13-4 win over the Royals.

Kansas City tried to pitch around the red-hot slugger, but Rice got ahold of a Noah Cameron fastball in the third inning and drove it 398 feet into the second deck in right field. Rice has gone yard in three straight games, and on the season he's slashing .339/.468/.774 with six doubles, seven homers, 17 RBI and 19 runs in 20 contests.

Bellinger went 3-for-4 with a walk, two home runs and five RBI in Saturday's 13-4 win over the Royals.

The 30-year-old slugger came into the contest with only one long ball in his first 19 games, but Bellinger broke out by taking lefty Noah Cameron deep in the third inning and touching up righty Mitch Spence in the sixth. Bellinger also extended his hitting streak to seven games, a stretch in which he's batting .357 (10-for-28) with a double, a steal, four runs and six RBI.

Warren (2-0) picked up the win in Saturday's 13-4 rout of the Royals, allowing two runs on five hits over seven innings. He struck out 11 without walking a batter.

The right-hander was dominant as he delivered his first quality start of the season and tied his career high in Ks, generating 32 called or swinging strikes among his 93 pitches (62 total strikes). Warren even had a shutout going until Carter Jensen finally got the visitors on the board with a two-run homer in the seventh. Warren is doing his best to make sure he's in no danger of losing his spot once the Yankees' rotation gets healthier, posting a 2.49 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and dazzling 31:6 K:BB through five starts and 25.1 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is set to come on the road next weekend in Houston.

Cameron (1-1) took the loss Saturday, surrendering seven runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks over four innings as the Royals were routed 13-4 by the Yankees. He struck out three.

Three of the hits off Cameron left the yard, and all three came in a disastrous third inning that saw Kansas City fall into a 5-0 hole they couldn't escape. It marked the second straight outing in which the southpaw served up multiple homers, and through four starts and 20 innings he's saddled with a 5.40 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB. Cameron will look to bounce back in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Angels.

Manager Walt Weiss said Saturday that Kim (finger) has resumed taking batting practice, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Kim has been on the shelf since the beginning of the season as he finishes up his rehab from offseason finger surgery. Atlanta's skipper said that the team plans to have the 30-year-old shortstop begin playing in sim games Thursday, and he'll likely be sent out on a minor-league rehab assignment shortly afterward.

Henry (shoulder) played catch Saturday, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Saturday marks the first time Henry has done any sort of throwing since he landed on the injured list Monday with a right rotator cuff strain. He said afterward that he felt good while throwing and remains optimistic that his stay on the injured list will be brief.

The Angels optioned Aldegheri to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Aldegheri made his season debut Thursday against the Yankees and gave up one earned run on a solo home run in 1.2 innings. He'll now rejoin the rotation at Triple-A Salt Lake and be replaced on the big-league roster by Walbert Urena.

The Angels recalled Urena from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Urena gave up six unearned runs over 1.2 innings during his first stint with the Angels at the beginning of the season and has since posted a 6.48 ERA and 1.60 WHIP through two starts with Salt Lake. The Halos have an opening in their rotation, but Urena's lack of recent success will likely keep him in a long-relief role while he's in the majors. Sam Aldegheri was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Sosa isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Sosa's 0-for-3 performance Friday ended what had been a seven-game hitting streak. The Blue Jays will give him a break Saturday, providing Eloy Jimenez with an opportunity to work as the DH.

Varsho (knee) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Varsho was taken out of Friday's contest due to left knee discomfort, and the Blue Jays will give him a day off Saturday so he can recover. Myles Straw will fill in as Toronto's center fielder and bat eighth.
