De La Cruz will start in right field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Marlins, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

De La Cruz will be included in the lineup over the left-handed-hitting Gabriel Rincones for the second straight game while the Marlins send another right-handed starter (Ryan Gusto) to the bump. Initially ticketed for a short-side platoon role when he was called up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, De La Cruz may have at least temporarily earned himself a look as a full-time player after getting off to a hot start to his tenure in Philadelphia. He's recorded at least one hit in each of his first five games with the club, going 8-for-11 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored.

Kwan went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in a 6-5 win over the Reds in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader. He went 0-for-3 with a walk in the nightcap.

Kwan singled and stole his eighth base of the season in the matinee. He's reached base safely in all nine games since returning to the leadoff spot, going 11-for-35 (.314) with five walks, two doubles, two RBI, two steals and two runs scored during that stretch.

Rincones is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Rincones will hit the bench for the second day in a row, with both absences coming against right-handed starting pitchers. The rookie has mostly been handling a strong-side platoon role in right field since getting called up to the big leagues June 12, but he's struggled to a .171/.207/.293 batting line with a 31 percent strikeout rate over 87 plate appearances. Bryan De La Cruz will draw a second straight start in right field and could be moving ahead of Rincones on the depth chart.

Carrillo (1-0) earned the win Tuesday against the Pirates after tossing two hitless and scoreless frames in extra innings, allowing a walk and striking out three.

Carrillo intentionally walked Bryan Reynolds to start the 11th inning, but that was the only baserunner he allowed in his two innings. He closed the door in the 12th, something neither Paul Sewald nor Kevin Ginkel could achieve earlier in the game, by striking out Tyler Callihan for the final out of the game. Since being promoted to the big-league roster July 21, Carrillo has allowed one earned run on five hits with a 6:4 K:BB across six innings in three outings.

Schwarber (illness) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Miami.

Schwarber is battling a gastrointestinal issue and will miss a second straight contest. The Phillies are idle Thursday, so Schwarber will aim to return to action Friday in Baltimore. Trea Turner is in the designated hitter spot Wednesday, and Edmundo Sosa is getting a start at shortstop.

Ginkel was tagged with his first blown save of the season Tuesday against the Pirates after allowing an unearned run in the 10th inning.

Ginkel was the second Arizona pitcher to blow a save opportunity Tuesday after Paul Sewald couldn't close things out in the bottom of the ninth while holding a three-run lead. Ginkel had a one-run lead in the 10th, but a fielding error from first baseman Tyler Locklear allowed Endy Rodriguez to score. Ginkel tossed nine of his 13 pitches for strikes in this outing, and while he couldn't close out the game, he's been pitching well of late. He hasn't allowed an earned run in 10 of his 13 outings this month, posting a 3.46 ERA and 0.92 WHIP across 13 innings.

Manzardo started at first base and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a grand slam in a 6-5 win in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Reds. He went 0-for-1 as a pinch hitter in the nightcap.

Manzardo belted his 12th homer of the season and first career grand slam in the first inning, and it nearly didn't happen. A call that he'd been hit by a pitch was overturned on review prior to Manzardo going deep. It turned out to be the key contribution in Cleveland snapping a five-game losing streak. The slumping first baseman entered the day with a .154 average (4-for-26) and 12 strikeouts since the break and is batting just .210 for the season. With the team in the hunt for a division title or wild-card playoff spot, it may scour the market for a first baseman; Guardians first basemen are hitting a league-low .194 with 13 homers (t-23rd) and 45 RBI (27th).

Sewald was tagged with a blown save Tuesday against the Pirates after allowing three runs on three hits -- including two home runs -- over one-third of an inning. He did not record a walk or a strikeout.

Sewald entered the bottom of the ninth inning holding a three-run lead, but he allowed a two-run shot to Brandon Lowe and a solo homer to Bryan Reynolds before recording an out. Arizona would end up getting the win in 12 innings, but this is not what the Diamondbacks need from their closer in tight games given their situation in the NL wild-card race. Sewald has blown two of his last three save chances and owns an inflated 8.22 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP across nine appearances (7.2 innings) in July.

Pfaadt tossed seven scoreless innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing six hits and a walk while striking out four.

Even though Pfaadt couldn't secure a sixth consecutive win, he stayed hot and notched his 14th consecutive outing allowing two earned runs or fewer. He owns a 3.13 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 30:10 K:BB over that span, and while he's not overpowering hitters (5.9 K/9), he's limiting walks (2.0 BB/9) and homers (0.8 HR/9). The right-hander owns a career-best 4.00 ERA this season across 19 appearances (nine starts) and is scheduled to make his next start Monday at home against the Padres.

Myers went a combined 3-for-6 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored across both games of Tuesday's doubleheader against Cleveland.

Myers started in center field for both ends of the doubleheader and made a fourth consecutive start there. Reds manager Terry Francona alluded to Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News that the backup outfielder could see more time as a starter in the second half. "You'll probably see him play more than he was," Francona said. "The hard part is he does such a good job being that righty off the bench, kind of a weapon. But where we're at right now, you'll probably see him play more than he did before." The Reds are dealing with several injuries to players that could defend center field, including Blake Dunn (elbow), Matt McLain (calf) and Spencer Steer (wrist). TJ Friedl will also get starts there.
