Rosario went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in a loss to Detroit on Monday.

With Ryan McMahon getting the day off, Rosario started at third base and batted leadoff. He produced the bulk of New York's runs with a two-run blast in the seventh inning. Rosario has started at the hot corner three of the past four times the Yankees have faced a southpaw starter, so he seems to be in the short side of a platoon with McMahon at the moment.

Hancock will be used out of the bullpen in Saturday's game in Cleveland as part of the latter half of a piggyback arrangement with starter Logan Gilbert, Cameron Van Til of 710 AM Seattle Sports reports.

Manager Dan Wilson announced last week that the Mariners would maintain a five-man rotation through the All-Star break but keep all six of their starters involved by using two in a piggyback arrangement every sixth game. After Bryce Miller and Luis Castillo worked in tandem last Friday versus Boston, Gilbert and Hancock will be paired together this weekend. Assuming their usage mimics that of Miller and Castillo from last week, Gilbert will likely cover around five innings and 70-to-80 pitches, while Hancock steps in to handle the final four frames. The setup will likely lessen Hancock's fantasy appeal this week, though managers may have already been leaning toward keeping him on their benches anyway. After submitting a 2.74 ERA and 0.95 WHIP through his first 13 starts, Hancock turned in his worst outings of the season in his last two starts, giving up a combined 11 earned runs on 13 hits and two walks in 9.1 innings while taking losses against the Nationals and Red Sox.

Gilbert said Tuesday that he'll make his next start Saturday in Cleveland and will be piggybacked by Emerson Hancock in the game, Cameron Van Til of 710 AM Seattle Sports reports.

Wood went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Phillies.

The star outfielder scored multiple runs for the fifth time in the last 12 games as he continues to be an effective table-setter for the Nationals. Over that stretch, Wood is slashing .319/.382/.596 with four doubles, three homers, two steals, nine RBI and 12 runs, and his 70 runs on the season doesn't just lead the majors, it's 14 ahead of the second-place duo of Nick Kurtz and Brice Turang.

Johnson is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Orioles at Angel Stadium.

The young right-hander will be making his second turn through the rotation as a replacement for Grayson Rodriguez (back), who was placed the injured list June 15. Though he delivered a stellar 2.65 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 21:1 K:BB in 17 innings over his three starts with Double-A Rocket City prior to his call-up, Johnson has yet to find success in his limited time in the big leagues over the last two seasons. Across 28 career innings in the majors spanning 19 appearances (two starts), Johnson owns a 9.96 ERA, 2.14 WHIP and 9.0 percent walk rate.

Gordon (hip) is slated to make a rehab start with Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Gordon threw three innings of live batting practice Saturday without issue, so he'll move on to the final step of his recovery from a right hip impingement by heading out on a rehab assignment. Assuming that the right-hander is able to build up to around five innings or 70 pitches in his start Wednesday, Gordon could get the green light to return from the 15-day injured list next week. Once he's activated, Gordon will likely be plugged into the rotation spot that currently belongs to Sean Sullivan, who has posted a 10.29 ERA and 1.86 WHIP through his first two big-league starts.

Faucher (4-4) took the loss Monday against the Rangers, giving up two runs on two hits and a walk in the eighth inning. He failed to strike out a batter.

With the game tied 2-2, Faucher got the call but served up doubles to Brandon Nimmo and Alejandro Osuna, with a free pass to Jake Burger sandwiched in between. It's the first time in June that Faucher came away with runs on his ledger, as he began the month with eight straight scoreless appearances. On the season, the 30-year-old right-hander has a 3.58 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 34:24 K:BB through 32.2 innings with a save and nine holds in 33 games, in addition to his four wins.

Lopez went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a run scored and a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Rangers.

The 27-year-old shortstop swiped his third bag in the last four games and his 16th of the season as he continues to march toward a career-best campaign. Through 19 games in June, Lopez is slashing a sizzling .351/.393/.506 with a homer, six steals, eight RBI and 16 runs, and he leads MLB with a .336 batting average and 103 hits on the year.

Springer went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Monday's win over the Astros.

Facing the team he won a World Series with in 2017, Springer delivered another strong performance from the leadoff spot, recording his fifth multi-hit effort in the last seven games. Over 16 games in June, the 36-year-old sports a .271/.389/.475 slash line with three homers, three steals, seven RBI and nine runs as he puts a quiet start to the campaign behind him.

The Rangers announced Quantrill as their starting pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Marlins in Miami.

For at least one turn, the Rangers will turn to Quantrill as a replacement in the rotation for Jack Leiter (ankle), who was moved to the injured list Sunday. Though he's worked exclusively out of the bullpen for Texas since receiving a promotion April 15, Quantrill started three times for Triple-A Round Rock prior to his call-up and has made 149 starts over parts eight seasons in the big leagues. Quantrill has maxed out at 3.1 innings and 70 pitches across his 15 relief appearances over the past two months, so despite his wealth of starting experience, he's still likely to handle a limited workload Tuesday before turning the game over to the bullpen.
