Blanco did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Rangers, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Blanco allowed three runs over the third and fourth innings, throwing 53 of 82 pitches for strikes overall and falling one out shy of qualifying for his first win of the season. After spending the first half of the campaign completing his rehab from Tommy John surgery, the 32-year-old has now yielded 12 earned runs and five homers over three outings with the Astros, though Saturday marked the first time he didn't surrender multiple long balls. He'll take a 7.36 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB across 14.2 innings into a road matchup with the Padres next weekend.

Atlanta traded Braun and Carter Holton to Kansas City on Saturday in exchange for Lane Thomas and Bailey Falter, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Braun has been in Atlanta's organization since 2023 but will now look to work his way up to the majors with the Royals. He has split his time this season between Double-A and Triple-A, and between the two levels he has a 3.53 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 82:27 K:BB over 94.1 innings. He'll begin his stint with the Royals at Triple-A Omaha.

Holton and Lucas Braun were traded by Atlanta to Kansas City on Saturday in exchange for Lane Thomas and Bailey Falter, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Holton was a second-round selection of Atlanta in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft but will now look to work his way up the Royals' farm system. He's spent most of the 2026 season in Single-A, where has a 2-1 record over seven outings (six starts) with a 5.08 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 30:13 K:BB over 33.2 innings.

Hader earned the save in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Rangers, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Hader was summoned to close out a one-run lead in the ninth inning and did so on just 10 pitches. The veteran southpaw remains a perfect 15-for-15 in save chances this season, and he hasn't allowed a hit over his past five outings. On the year, he owns a 1.17 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 34:10 K:BB across 23 innings while holding opponents scoreless in 22 of 25 appearances.

Kelly picked up a hold Saturday against the White Sox, striking out two in a clean inning of work.

The 28-year-old right-hander now trails only Tyler Rogers for the major-league lead in holds with 22 on the year. Kelly hasn't been scored upon in seven consecutive outings, delivering a career-best 2.13 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 42:8 K:BB along with four saves in six opportunities over 50.2 innings for the campaign.

Thielbar earned the save in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Yankees, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning. He did not record a walk or a strikeout.

With Jacob Webb used in the eighth inning against the heart of the Yankees' order, Thielbar was called upon to protect a three-run lead in the ninth and worked around a leadoff single to earn his first save since April 21. The 39-year-old Thielbar owns a 3.97 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 43:13 K:BB to go along with seven holds and three saves across 34 innings this season. He shouldn't be counted on as a reliable source of saves going forward with Daniel Palencia (elbow) nearing a rehab assignment.

Baz (4-10) took the loss Saturday against the Phillies, allowing one run on six hits and one walk in 6.1 innings. He struck out four.

It was a hard-luck loss for Baz, who held an imposing Philadelphia lineup scoreless until the fifth inning. The right-hander has found his groove after opening the year with a 5.48 ERA through his first eight starts, as he's logged nine quality starts in his last 14 outings and given up more two runs just four times during that span. Baz will carry a 3.86 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 111:45 K:BB over 128.1 frames into his next scheduled appearance in Texas.

Sanchez (14-4) earned the win Saturday against the Orioles, allowing no runs on two hits and five walks in six innings. He struck out 11.

Although the five walks matched a season high, Sanchez danced around trouble in a scoreless start and recorded his second-most strikeouts of the season. It was an encouraging beginning to the month of August for the All-Star southpaw, who surrendered 16 earned runs over 21.2 innings during July en route to posting a 6.65 ERA and 1.85 WHIP during the month. Sanchez is set to bring a strong 2.61 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 168:33 K:BB across 144.2 innings into a tough assignment against an upstart Nationals lineup his next time out.

The Mariners acquired Dominguez, outfielder Nolan Jones and catcher Boston Smith from the White Sox on Saturday in exchange for right-hander Luis Castillo, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Dominguez opened the season as the closer for the White Sox but lost his grip on the job in late June. He'll now head to Seattle, where he'll presumably operate in a middle relief for the Mariners with Andres Munoz locked in as the closer. Dominguez has a 4.10 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 12 saves (in 17 chances), four holds and a 45:23 K:BB over 37.1 innings this season.

The White Sox acquired Castillo from the Mariners on Saturday in exchange for right-hander Seranthony Dominguez, outfielder Nolan Jones and catcher Boston Smith, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

The 31-year-old righty will head to Chicago and bolster a rotation that's received excellent results from Davis Martin and Sean Burke but uneven production from Anthony Kay, Noah Schultz and Erick Fedde at the other three spots. While the three-time All-Star easily becomes the White Sox's most battle-tested starter, Castillo has endured a career-worst 2026 campaign. After submitting a 3.54 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 32 starts for Seattle a season ago, Castillo turned in a 5.06 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in 20 appearances (17 starts) in 2026 prior to being dealt. Castillo showed signs of righting the ship in May and June, but he went 0-3 with a 5.48 ERA and 1.52 WHIP while serving up seven home runs in 23 innings over four July outings. He last pitched Tuesday, so Castillo could be ready to make his White Sox debut during the team's series in Boston early next week.
