The Mets placed Polanco on the 10-day injured list with left ankle bursitis.

Polanco has dealt with a left ankle/Achilles issue throughout the season and it's become clear the nagging injury has greatly affected him, leading to a lowly .148/.201/.230 batting line with two home runs over 37 contests. The Mets didn't reveal a timetable for Polanco's return, but it wouldn't be surprising if he was shut down for the season.

Stott went 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Marlins.

The move to third base following the acquisition of Luis Arraez at the trade deadline hasn't derailed Stott's momentum at the plate. He's hit safely in 10 straight games, and over 30 contests since the All-Star break the 28-year-old is slashing .320/.447/.500 with 12 extra-base hits (eight doubles, two triples, two homers), six steals in six attempts, 17 RBI and 19 runs.

Arraez went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Marlins.

All three hits were singles, which is par for the course for Arraez, but the three-time MLB batting champ continues to get comfortable with his new team. The 29-year-old infielder has hit safely in six straight games, going 10-for-26 (.385) with two doubles, three runs and four RBI.

Cox went 2-for-4 in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to Cleveland.

Cox hit a leadoff single in the first inning and added another base hit in the third. He's now logged two multi-hit performances this season, with his last coming June 5. The 25-year-old outfielder is slashing .286/.286/.514 with six runs scored, four stolen bases, three RBI and a home run across 38 plate appearances this season.

Romo is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Romo started at catcher Tuesday night, so he'll get some rest during Wednesday's matinee. Since Jake Rogers was picked up off waivers last week, he and Romo have alternated starts behind the dish, drawing three starts apiece.

Raley struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his first save of the season in a 6-4 win over the Marlins.

With Jhoan Duran unavailable after working the prior two days, interim manager Don Mattingly deployed Jose Alvarado in the seventh inning and Orion Kerkering in the eighth before turning to Raley in the ninth to face the bottom of the Miami order. Raley got tagged for two runs in his Philly debut after being acquired from the Mets at the trade deadline, but since then the veteran lefty has settled down, posting a 1.59 ERA, 0.53 WHIP and 6:1 K:BB over his last six appearances and 5.2 innings.

Koss went 1-for-3 with a double in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to Cleveland.

Koss hit a leadoff double in the eighth inning, marking his eighth straight game with at least one hit. During this span, the 28-year-old infielder is batting .300 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in 30 plate appearances. On the year, he's slashing .202/.230/.250 with five runs scored, two RBI and two stolen bases across 87 plate appearances.

Wheeler didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Marlins, giving up two runs on two hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

While he had trouble finding the plate consistently and threw only 57 of 98 pitches for strikes, Wheeler didn't allow much hard contact aside from a Griffin Conine solo shot in the second inning. The seven Ks were his highest total since July 21, but the three-time All-Star remains winless since the All-Star break, going 0-3 in six outings with a 5.60 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 36:11 K:BB through 27.1 innings. Wheeler will look to get back in the win column in his next start, which is set to come on the road early next week in Seattle.

Conine went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Phillies.

The 29-year-old got the Marlins on the board when he clubbed a Zack Wheeler fastball over the fence in right-center field to lead off the second inning. It was Conine's 14th homer of the season, and half of them have come in his last 21 games -- a stretch in which he's produced a .308/.400/.646 slash line with 11 runs and 15 RBI.

Abbott (6-8) took the loss Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over 6.1 innings as the Reds were downed 3-0 by the Cardinals. He struck out six.

The southpaw delivered his 11th quality start of the season on 98 pitches (68 strikes) in his best effort so far in August, tying his career high in QS in the process, but Cincinnati's offense couldn't solve Kyle Leahy and the St. Louis bullpen. Abbott has won just one of his last 10 starts, going 1-4 over that stretch with a 4.45 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 44:27 K:BB in 54.2 innings. He'll look to build on this performance in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Arizona.
