Montero didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Angels, giving up four runs on eight hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

The right-hander was lifted after 89 pitches (57 strikes) having tied his season high in Ks, but Montero watched the bullpen implode to cost him his third win of the year. Montero has failed to complete six innings in three straight trips to the mound, and over five starts in May he managed a 4.18 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 16:10 K:BB through 28 innings. He'll continue plugging a hole in Detroit's injury-depleted rotation, with his next outing set to come on the road this weekend against the White Sox.

Bailey is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

Austin Hedges will handle the catching duties for the matinee Wednesday while Bailey rests up after he was behind the plate for six innings of the Guardians' 6-3 loss Tuesday night. Since being acquired from the Giants earlier this month, Bailey has gone 3-for-25 (.120 average) with one home run, one double, two walks and three RBI through his first nine games with Cleveland.

Burke didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Twins after allowing two runs on three hits and two walks across seven innings. He struck out eight.

Burke finally pitched past the fifth inning -- something he hadn't accomplished since May 2 -- and delivered a strong outing, matching his previous season-high mark in strikeouts. The lack of consistency has been an issue for Burke, but it's worth noting he has allowed two or fewer runs in five of his last seven starts. A couple of subpar outings have saddled him with a 4.78 ERA in May. Burke, who has a 3.90 ERA and 1.15 WHIP across 11 appearances (nine starts) this season, is scheduled to make his next start over the weekend at home against the Tigers.

Neto went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Tuesday's 10-6 win over the Tigers.

The star shortstop racked up his third multi-hit performance in the last four games as he continues to turn around a sluggish start to the season. Since May 5, Neto is slashing .278/.376/.569 with 10 extra-base hits including five homers, 10 RBI and 15 runs in 19 contests.

Grissom went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI in Tuesday's 10-6 win over the Tigers.

The 25-year-old infielder got the Angels on the board with a two-run single in the third inning before launching his first career grand slam off Will Vest in the eighth to put his team in the lead for good. Grissom snapped a 2-for-28 skid with the big performance, and since joining the big-league roster in mid-April he's slashing .233/.308/.379 with three homers, eight runs and 19 RBI in 32 games while seeing action at first base, second base and third base. Advanced stats paint a rosier picture, however -- his 91.0 mph average exit velocity and 47.9 percent hard-hit rate are comparable to Mike Trout's.

Ryan didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the White Sox, allowing two runs on five hits across 7.2 innings. He struck out nine.

The nine punchouts tied a season-high mark for Ryan, who has now struck out at least seven in each of his last three starts. He's also in a run of four consecutive quality starts since lasting just one-third of an inning against the Blue Jays on March 3, when an injury scare forced him off the mound. Ryan has now gone 1-0 with a 1.75 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 30:4 K:BB across his last 25.2 innings. He'll aim to continue his impressive stretch in his next start, scheduled for this weekend against the Pirates on the road.

McGreevy (3-4) was tagged with the loss Tuesday against the Brewers, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks across four innings. He fanned six.

McGreevy had an excellent four-start stretch between April 26 and May 14, posting a 0.75 ERA and allowing just two earned runs in 24 innings, but regression has hit him hard. Over his last two appearances, he's gone 0-2 with an 8.00 ERA and 2.33 WHIP across nine frames. McGreevy isn't as bad as that 8.00 ERA indicates, nor is he as good as his 2.98 overall mark would suggest. McGreevy will aim to bounce back in his next start, which should be scheduled for next week at home against the Rangers.

The Mets transferred Robert (spine) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday.

Robert landed on the 10-day IL on April 30 due to lumbar spine disc herniation and has yet to resume baseball activities while he continues to deal with lingering symptoms of the injury. While surgery isn't on the table for Robert at this point, the 28-year-old has received consultation from outside doctors regarding a treatment plan for his symptoms, per MLB.com. Robert remains without an official timeline for a return, though his move to the 60-day IL ensures that he won't be an option for the Mets until at least late June.

Mikolas is slated to follow an opener Wednesday in Cleveland, Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic reports.

PJ Poulin will open the game for the Nationals before Mikolas handles the bulk of the workload. Mikolas has collected a 3.74 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in five bulk relief outings this season, as compared to an 8.28 ERA and 1.64 WHIP in six traditional starts.

Harrison (6-1) earned the win Tuesday against the Cardinals after tossing six scoreless innings, allowing four hits and striking out two.

Harrison was unable to repeat his dominant 11-strikeout performance against the Cubs on May 20. However, this was the third straight start in which he didn't allow runs, lowering his ERA to an impressive 1.57 over 51.2 innings in 10 starts. Harrison has been one of the breakout starting pitchers of 2026 and he's slated to make his next start against the Giants at home next week.
