Rivero (hand) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.

Rivero suffered a left hamate fracture June 10 and has experienced some setbacks in his recovery after initially beginning a rehab assignment last month. The 27-year-old backstop has slashed .245/.286/.283 with a pair of doubles, eight RBI, five runs scored and a 3:12 BB:K across 57 plate appearances with the Halos this season.

Bautista (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Chesapeake on Sunday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Bautista will make one appearance with Chesapeake before moving his rehab to Triple-A Norfolk next week. The right-hander said he's feeling good and that everything is progressing well in his return from shoulder surgery. He appears to have a good chance of pitching with the big club before the end of the regular season.

Whitlock (elbow) resumed throwing Wednesday and is expected to throw a bullpen session in the near future, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Whitlock was placed on the 15-day injured list with right elbow inflammation last week but appears to be nearing a return to the mound. It sounds like Whitlock's stay on the IL could be around the minimum. The 30-year-old has posted a 2.05 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 49:7 K:BB across 44 innings out of the Boston bullpen this season.

The Astros optioned King to Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

King has appeared in 51 games out of Houston's bullpen this season, posting a 4.75 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 44:19 K:BB across 53 innings. He was shelled for five runs on five hits with one strikeout across 1.1 innings during Thursday's 18-3 loss to the Angels. After throwing 37 pitches in that outing, he's heading down so the Astros can recall a fresher arm.

The Astros recalled Teng from Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Teng was optioned to Sugar Land in late July and worked exclusively out of the bullpen while with the minor-league club, turning in a 3.48 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 15:3 K:BB across 10.1 innings. He'll work in relief for the Astros after making 10 starts for the team earlier this season.

The Yankees recalled Schuemann from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

With Ryan McMahon (thumb) sent to the injured list, Schuemann will rejoin the big-league club after he was optioned earlier this month following the Yankees' deadline acquisitions. Schuemann has slashed just .194/.333/.361 with two homers, eight RBI, 17 runs scored, three stolen bases and a 12:21 BB:K across 87 trips to the plate with New York this season.

The Yankees placed McMahon on the 10-day injured list Friday with a left thumb sprain.

In a corresponding move, the team recalled Max Schuemann from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. McMahon suffered his injury on a slide in Wednesday's game. Amed Rosario and Jose Caballero are candidates to see increased playing time at the hot corner while McMahon is sidelined.

Antonacci is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Mets.

With lefty Sean Manaea taking the hill for New York, Antonacci will get a night off. Antonacci is just 2-for-22 at the plate over his last eight games and is batting just .200 with a .600 OPS in the month of August. Randal Grichuk is making the start in left field while Chase Meidroth handles leadoff duties.

Sanoja is not in the lineup for Friday's game versus the Nationals.

Sanoja had started at third base in each of the last four games, but he will begin Friday's festivities on the bench. Leo Jimenez is covering the hot corner and will bat ninth for the Marlins.

The Marlins transferred Kempner (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Friday.

The transaction clears space on the 40-man roster for the addition of Logan Driscoll. Kempner recently underwent UCL surgery on his right elbow and will be sidelined, at minimum, until late in the 2027 season.
