Hoskins will be included on the Guardians' Opening Day roster, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

The veteran slugger still needs to be officially added to the active roster ahead of Thursday's season opener in Seattle. Hoskins had an .817 OPS with three homers in 12 spring training games after spending last season in Milwaukee, where he played in 90 regular-season contests and had a .237/.332/.416 slash line.

The Nationals designated McGarry for assignment Sunday, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

The right-hander was selected by the Nationals during the Rule 5 Draft in December, but the club won't keep him on the big-league roster. If he clears waivers, McGarry will be offered back to the Phillies, with whom he spent most of 2025 at Double-A Reading.

Atlanta plans to utilize Fuentes as a long reliever for the first couple weeks of the season before sending him to work as a starter at Triple-A Gwinnett, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

It was reported Saturday that Fuentes would be included on Atlanta's Opening Day roster, and it's not a surprise he'll work in long relief after covering at least three frames in each of his three Grapefruit League appearances. The 20-year-old righty was dominant this spring, finishing with a 17:0 K:BB across nine scoreless and hitless innings. Fuentes may not open the campaign in Atlanta's rotation, but he could still get that opportunity at some point in 2026, especially if Bryce Elder stumbles out of the gate.

Astros manager Joe Espada said Sunday that Dezenzo won't be part of the Opening Day roster and will remain at extended spring training to rehab his right elbow injury, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Dezenzo recently injured his elbow while playing for Team Italy in the World Baseball Classic. Though the elbow hasn't presented any issues for him as a hitter, he'll need to prove that he can throw without limitations before he's cleared for game action. The Astros are likely to place Dezenzo on the 10-day injured list when they set their Opening Day roster Thursday.

The Astros informed Lambert on Sunday that he won't be included on the Opening Day roster, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Lambert had attended spring training as a non-roster invitee but made a spirited bid for a spot in Houston's bullpen by turning in a 2.92 ERA and 8:5 K:BB in 12.1 innings during the Grapefruit League. The right-hander's minor-league contract contains an opt-out clause that will allow him to pursue opportunities elsewhere, but Lambert is still deciding whether to become a free agent or stay in the organization and report to Triple-A Sugar Land, per Rome.

Trout (hand) is starting in center field and batting second in Sunday's Cactus League game against the Dodgers, Jack Janes of TheSportingTribune.com reports.

Trout departed Friday's spring contest after being hit by a pitch on the hand, but he had X-rays come back negative and is rejoining the lineup after getting one day off. The 34-year-old is coming off a 2024 campaign that saw him total 26 homers with a .232/.359/.439 slash line in 130 games, which was his largest workload since 2019.

The Astros reassigned Trammell to minor-league camp Sunday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Despite posting a .904 OPS over 45 appearances in the Grapefruit League, Trammell came up short in his bid for a spot on the Opening Day roster. The 28-year-old outfielder is expected to handle an everyday role at Triple-A Sugar Land to begin the season.

The Astros reassigned Biggio to minor-league camp Sunday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Biggio missed a good chunk of camp while recovering from a right elbow scope and was unable to capitalize on his limited Cactus League opportunities, going just 2-for-14 with a 2:6 BB:K over six games. He'll open the season at Triple-A Sugar Land and will look to perform well enough to garner consideration for a call-up to the big club.

Garver is expected to begin the season as Seattle's No. 2 catcher, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

The 35-year-old re-signed with the Mariners as a non-roster invitee in February and will once again served as the backup catcher to Cal Raleigh. Garver still needs to be added to the big-league roster, but the club isn't expected to finalize the roster until Wednesday. During the 2025 regular season, Garver clubbed nine homers and produced a .640 OPS over 87 games.

Harrison (finger) completed a bullpen session Saturday and is expected to be included on the Brewers' Opening Day roster, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Harrison exited his final Cactus League start Wednesday after developing a blister on his left index finger, but his ability to throw off a mound just a few days later puts him on track to avoid a stint on the injured list to begin the season. Milwaukee hasn't yet indicated if Harrison will pitch in either of the team's final two exhibition games Monday and Tuesday versus the Reds, but assuming the finger didn't present any issues for him during his recent bullpen session, the southpaw should be ready to make his first turn through the Milwaukee rotation once the regular season gets underway. The Brewers are still deciding where to slot Harrison in the pitching order based on the status of Brandon Woodruff (lat), who has been built up slowly during the spring but is also trending toward being included in the season-opening rotation.
