Cecconi held Atlanta to one run through five innings and was brought out for the sixth, but that's where things fell apart for the 26-year-old right-hander. He gave up hits to each of the first four batters he faced in the frame, including a solo homer and a two-run long shot to Ronald Acuna and Matt Olson, respectively. Cecconi was subsequently lifted, but he did not get enough run support from his teammates to avoid the loss. He has yielded at least four earned runs in two of his first three starts of the season and has a 5.74 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 15.2 innings to open the 2026 campaign. Cecconi is slated to start next week at home against the Cardinals, when he'll look to capture his first victory of the season.

Erceg picked up his fourth save in Friday's 2-0 win over the White Sox with a hitless and scoreless ninth inning.

Erceg needed just 10 pitches to set the White Sox down in order, generating a flyout, groundout and lineout. With Carlos Estevez (foot) on the 15-day IL and struggling badly with diminished results and velocity when healthy, Erceg appears to have a firm grasp on the Royals' closer gig. He's a perfect 4-for-4 in save opportunities and owns a 3.18 ERA and 3:2 K:BB across 5.2 innings.

Guerrero went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored, one steal and an RBI during Toronto's 10-4 win over Minnesota on Friday.

Guerrero notched his first steal of the season in the seventh inning before being brought home on an RBI single by Davis Schneider, and the former drove in a run of his own on a double in the eighth. Guerrero has just one home run through 13 regular-season games, but he currently boasts a .429 OBP.

Bubic (2-1) earned the win Friday against the White Sox, allowing just two hits and one walk with 11 strikeouts across seven scoreless innings.

Bubic spun an absolute gem against the South Siders, as it was possibly the best outing of Bubic's career. Prior to Friday, he'd never recorded double-digit strikeouts in a single game. It was also just the fourth time Bubic has pitched at least seven shutout innings. The left-hander generated 17 whiffs on 88 total pitches and now owns a 2.50 ERA and 23:7 K:BB across 18 innings this season. Bubic is slated to face the Tigers in Detroit on Thursday.

Schneider went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored during the Blue Jays' 10-4 win over the Twins on Friday.

Schneider contributed to Toronto's five-run fourth inning with an RBI double, and he expanded the Blue Jays' lead in the seventh with a single to left field that brought Vladimir Guerrero home. Schneider has served in a utility role to open the season, and while the infield is fairly solidified, more strong games like Friday's could lead to more playing time in the outfield, especially for as long as Addison Barger (ankles) is on the IL.

Varsho went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a double during the Blue Jays' 10-4 win over the Twins on Friday.

Varsho gave the Blue Jays a 6-4 lead in the fifth inning, when he took Anthony Banda deep to right-center field for his first home run of the 2026 season. Friday was Varsho's first multi-hit game since March 28 against the Athletics, and he has reached base safely in seven consecutive games.

Valenzuela went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored during the Blue Jays' 10-4 win over the Twins on Friday.

The Blue Jays rallied from a 4-0 run deficit to take the lead in the fourth inning, highlighted by Valenzuela's first big-league homer. The 25-year-old made his major-league debut this past Sunday against the White Sox and has shared time behind the plate with Tyler Heineman. That trend should continue for as long as Alejandro Kirk (thumb) is on the injured list, but Valenzuela could earn more starts for himself with strong play over the coming weeks.

Corbin did not factor into the decision in the Blue Jays' 10-4 win over the Twins on Friday. He allowed four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three across four innings.

Corbin signed with the Blue Jays on April 3 to give the team depth in the rotation due to the absences of Shane Bieber (elbow), Trey Yesavage (shoulder), Jose Berrios (elbow) and, most recently, Cody Ponce (knee). It wasn't the kind of season debut Corbin was hoping for, as he gave up a three-run homer to Ryan Jeffers in the first inning before yielding a solo shot to Brooks Lee in the fourth, but Corbin escaped with the no-decision after the Blue Jays took the lead with five runs in the bottom of the frame. Yesavage and Berrios are inching their way toward being activated from the IL, but Corbin should continue to serve as Toronto's fifth starter in the rotation in the short term. Corbin is tentatively slated to start next week on the road against the Brewers.

Jeffers went 3-for-3 with a three-run home run during the Twins' 10-4 loss to the Blue Jays on Friday.

Jeffers gave the Twins an early lead with a three-run homer off Patrick Corbin in the first inning. It was Jeffers' first long shot of the season, and all six of his RBI in 2026 have come over his last three games. The 28-year-old backstop is looking to return to the form he showed during the 2024 regular season, when he recorded career highs in home runs (21) and RBI (64) in 465 plate appearances.

Winn was diagnosed with a lower-leg contusion after getting hit by a pitch in Friday's game versus Boston, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Winn ran for himself and played an inning of defense after getting hit by a pitch in the third inning but was eventually pulled in the fifth. The Cardinals are officially labeling his injury as a contusion, however, which suggests he escaped the incident without suffering any structural damage. If the team decides to sit him down for a day or two as a precaution, Thomas Saggese and Jose Fermin would be candidates to see time at shortstop.
