Gore (6-6) earned the win Saturday against Atlanta, allowing five runs on six hits and one walk in 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Gore hardly pitched well enough to deserve the victory, notably hitting three batters Saturday, but he received plenty of run support to get him off the hook. Although the 27-year-old southpaw has registered seven punchouts in three of his past four outings, he's given up at least five runs in each of those starts. Gore is putting together something of a bizarre campaign, holding a career-worst 4.80 ERA in spite of a career-best .236 opponent batting average as well as a 122:42 K:BB across 110.2 innings.

Dobnak did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Padres, allowing a run on four hits and four walks across 4.1 innings. He struck out three.

Despite throwing 96 pitches (60 strikes) across 4.1 innings, Dobnak managed to hold San Diego to a lone run on a Fernando Tatis homer in the third. Overall, the right-hander has been solid since he was recalled from Triple-A earlier this month, allowing just three runs across 14 innings in three appearances with the Royals. If Kansas City elects to give him another start, Dobnak would line up to face the Tigers on the road his next time out.

Eovaldi (illness) will start Sunday's game against Atlanta, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Eovaldi was sick over the All-Star break but feels significantly better this weekend and is ready to roll for Sunday's series finale. The veteran right-hander posted a 9-7 record, 4.04 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 120:26 K:BB across 111.1 innings spanning 18 starts prior to the Midsummer Classic.

Swanson went 1-for-4 with a triple, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Twins.

Swanson tallied his third triple of the season as he helped lead the Cubs to the victory Saturday afternoon. The veteran shortstop is batting just .209, which is down from his career .248 mark, though he's still managed to provide fantasy value with 16 home runs and 13 stolen bases. Swanson has also played in all but four of Chicago's games so far, and he should continue to see consistent playing time during the second half as he seeks his second straight 20-20 campaign.

Canning (1-8) took the loss Saturday against the Royals, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks across 3.2 innings. He struck out four.

Canning hasn't been able to get through five frames in any of his last five outings -- he's allowed 13 runs across 17.1 innings during that span. Overall, the right-hander's ERA sits at 6.67 with a 1.62 WHIP and 59:32 K:BB across 59.1 innings this season. Canning is currently in line to face the Marlins on the road his next time out.

Busch went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Twins.

Busch also struck out three times Saturday, but fantasy managers will surely take the power production, as he's now up to 12 home runs and 51 RBI through 97 games. The Chicago first baseman is riding a modest four-game hitting streak, which has helped push his overall slash line up to .239/.367/.400. The batting average and slugging percentage are down from Busch's breakout 2025 regular season, though his current on-base percentage would represent a career best.

Seymour did not factor into the decision Saturday against the Red Sox, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks over three innings. He struck out four.

The long ball hurt Seymour in his brief outing Saturday -- the southpaw surrendered a two-run blast to Jahmai Jones in the second inning before Wilyer Abreu added a solo shot in the third. Seymour has now given up 12 runs (11 earned) across just 11.2 frames in his last three outings after delivering quality starts his previous two times out. His ERA now sits at 4.79 across 67.2 innings this season with a 1.17 WHIP and 79:26 K:BB across 67.2 innings.

Hoerner went 4-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Twins.

Hoerner set a season high in hits as he helped power the Cubs to their first win of the second half. The speedy infielder came into the All-Star break mired in a 1-for-18 slump over his previous five games, but he's started the series against Minnesota by going 6-for-8 over two contests. Hoerner is still batting just .243 for the season, though his career .277 mark provides reason to believe he should improve in that category.

Severino's (shoulder) recent MRI showed signs of healing, but manager Mark Kotsay indicated Saturday that the right-hander is several weeks away from a potential return to the rotation, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports.

Severino has yet to start a throwing program after he was lifted from his May 29 start with a right shoulder strain. "The hope is that the start of the throwing progression goes well and we can continue that, and hopefully build him up before it's too late to have a season for him," Kotsay said Saturday. The Athletics have, by far, the worst team ERA in the majors (6.85) since Severino went down with his injury. Once he's cleared to throw, he's expected to require several rehab starts before rejoining the rotation.

Sandoval didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Rays, allowing five runs (four earned) on nine hits and a walk across five innings. He struck out five.

Sandoval gave up a pair of runs in the second inning before the Rays scored another three in the fourth, highlighted by a Victor Mesa homer. Overall, it was a step back for Sandoval after he allowed just one run across 4.1 innings during his Red Sox debut prior to the All-Star break. Should Sandoval get another start, he currently lines up to face the Blue Jays at home.
