Jazz Chisholm 2B | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Clubs another homer Sunday
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 7-1 extra-inning win over the Orioles.
The game was tied 1-1 entering the 10th, and the Yankees exploded for six runs in the extra frame. One of those runs came on Chisholm's solo homer to right field. It was the second baseman's second homer over his past three games and marked his third straight contest with at least one RBI. Chisholm has a career-high 31 home runs and 79 RBI through 124 games on the campaign, and he's added 30 thefts for his first career 30-30 season.

Christian Vazquez C | HOU
Twins' Christian Vazquez: Activated from injured list
The Twins activated Vazquez (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list Monday.
Vazquez has been shelved since early August following surgery to remove an infection from his left shoulder, but he's ready to go now after a brief rehab assignment. Ryan Jeffers' (concussion) status remains in flux, which could leave Vazquez with regular catching duties in the final week of the season.

Jorge Soler DH | LAA
Angels' Jorge Soler: Unlikely to return in final week
Soler (back) has continued to ramp up his activity at the Angels' complex in Arizona, but he appears unlikely to be activated from the 60-day injured list before the season ends Sunday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. "Whether he's activated or not, we'll see," interim manager Ray Montgomery said of Soler. "But in terms of the mentality, he knows his body is in a good spot. Going into the offseason, that would be huge."
Soler has been on the shelf since July 26 due to low back inflammation, and though he's seemingly steered clear of setbacks since reporting to Arizona on Sept. 11 to continue his workouts, the Angels are eliminated from playoff contention and don't have much incentive to rush the 33-year-old back for the final week of the season. Before landing on the IL, Soler slashed .215/.293/.387 with 12 home runs, 34 RBI and 31 runs in 82 games. Soler should be in line for a normal offseason and will be entering the final season of a three-year, $42 million contract in 2026.

Samuel Aldegheri SP | LAA
Angels' Sam Aldegheri: Slated to start Tuesday
Aldegheri will start Tuesday's series opener versus the Royals in Anaheim, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
The Angels recalled Aldegheri from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday after Jose Soriano (forearm) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move, and since Aldegheri wasn't needed out of the bullpen in the Halos' weekend series in Colorado, he'll end up slotting into Soriano's spot in the rotation. Though he was tagged for seven runs (five earned) in 4.1 innings over his prior two long-relief appearances with the big club earlier this summer, Aldegheri has excelled since the All-Star break while pitching out of the rotations for Salt Lake and Double-A Rocket City, notching a 2.43 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB in 55.2 innings. Unless the Angels elect to expand the rotation to six men, Aldegheri will tentatively line up for two starts during the last week of the season, with his second turn set to come in Sunday's finale versus the Astros.

Caden Dana SP | LAA
Angels' Caden Dana: Takes loss despite quality start
Dana took the loss Sunday against Colorado, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five over six innings.
Dana gave up a solo homer to Blaine Crim in the fourth inning for one of the only three hits he allowed, but he was nonetheless handed his third straight loss after the Angels' offense managed just a single run of support in the defeat. It was the first time the right-hander has completed six innings this season, greatly building on his previous outings, and he now owns a 6.39 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 28:17 K:BB across 25.1 innings.

Merrill Kelly SP | ARI
Rangers' Merrill Kelly: Hit hard in loss
Kelly (12-9) took the loss Sunday against Miami, surrendering three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over 4.1 innings.
The veteran right-hander cruised through the first three frames, allowing only two hits, but unraveled in the fourth and fifth, giving up five hits (including three doubles) and all three of his runs before being lifted. A short time ago, Kelly was a steady innings-eater for Texas, but he has now failed to complete six innings in three consecutive outings and has struggled overall, yielding 26 hits and 12 earned runs across just 13 innings during that stretch. The 36-year-old now owns a 3.52 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 167:48 K:BB across 184 innings.

Christopher Morel 1B | MIA
Rays' Christopher Morel: Drives in four in win
Morel went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBI in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Red Sox.
Morel had gone 0-for-9 with five strikeouts over three games since missing a couple of games due to an abdominal bruise. The utility man broke out of the slump by accounting for more than half of the Rays' run production. He opened the scoring with a two-run double in the first inning and added a two-run single in the eighth for insurance. This was just his fifth multi-RBI game of the year. Morel has a .223/.292/.401 slash line with 11 home runs, 31 RBI, 37 runs scored, seven stolen bases and 15 doubles across 102 games this season.

Chandler Simpson LF | TB
Rays' Chandler Simpson: Posts steal in win
Simpson went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Red Sox.
Simpson was able to bounce back after an 0-for-5 effort Saturday. The outfielder has 43 steals this season, including five thefts across 19 contests in September. He's added a .299/.331/.349 slash line through 105 contests with 26 RBI, 51 runs scored, 14 doubles and three triples, but the speedy outfielder is still in search of his first home run.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: Reaches 30-homer mark
Lowe went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a second run scored in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Red Sox.
Lowe achieved his second 30-homer season when he went deep in the sixth inning. Just two of those long balls have come in September, as his power has declined following a nine-homer performance over 25 games in August. The infielder is now at a .258/.309/.478 slash line with 81 RBI, 78 runs scored, 18 doubles and three stolen bases across 130 contests this season.
