Moncada missed roughly two weeks at the end of spring training due to problems with his right thumb, and the injury seems to have resurfaced during Friday's contest. It's unknown if his second bout of thumb trouble is severe enough to warrant a trip to the injured list, though the Angels may err on the side of caution this time around.

Zeferjahn was removed from Friday's game against the Guardians due to right hamstring tightness, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Zeferjahn was only able to record one out before getting hurt, though he remains without a run allowed through four appearances this season. He can be labeled as day-to-day for now, but the Angels may not deploy him out of their bullpen again until his hamstring is back to 100 percent.

Polanco went 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBI and one walk in Friday's 10-9 extra-innings loss to the Giants.

Polanco is batting .450 (9-for-20) with two homers, eight RBI and two runs scored over his first five games of the season. He missed three contests while on the paternity list, but the time away with his growing family didn't slow him down when he returned to action Friday. He had a pair of RBI singles and a two-run homer in this high-scoring game. He looks to be a regular in the lineup as the Mariners' starting third baseman, and he won't be challenged in that role as long as his bat stays hot. He's looking to rebound from his career-worst season in 2024, when he was limited to a .213/.296/.355 slash line over 118 games.

Rodriguez went 3-for-6 with a solo home run, a walk, one stolen base and three total runs scored in Friday's 10-9 extra-innings loss to the Giants.

Rodriguez got the scoring started early, tagging Justin Verlander for a first-inning homer. This was a glimpse of what Rodriguez can do when he puts it all together, though he has been a slow starter in the last couple of years. He's batting .250 with two homers, four RBI, six runs scored and three steals over 36 plate appearances following his impressive effort Friday.

Castillo allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two over three innings, taking a no-decision in Friday's extra-innings loss to the Giants.

Castillo's first major-league start was nothing to write home about. He allowed an RBI single to Matt Chapman in the first inning and a two-run double to LaMonte Wade in the second. Though he's likely to sit at times against southpaws, he's reached base three times in just five plate appearances against them early in 2025.

Campbell made an impact in several ways, including stealing his first career base and scoring in the third inning. The rookie continues to justify the club's confidence in him, hitting .423 with two home runs, five RBI, nine runs scored and a steal in his first 33 major-league plate appearances. While it's a small sample size, the 22-year-old was a 20-20 player in the minors last season and should continue to showcase a blend of power and speed moving forward.
