Newman is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Guardians, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Newman has been losing quite a bit of playing time recently due to his poor start, though he finally managed to log his first hit of the new season during Friday's loss. Tim Anderson will start in Newman's place at shortstop Saturday and bat ninth.

Moncada (thumb) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Cleveland, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Moncada aggravated his injured thumb during Friday's game. It will officially cost him at least one start, though there's a chance the Angels will send him to the injured list until his thumb is no longer an issue. While the team weighs its options, Luis Rengifo will move to third base to cover for Moncada, and Kyren Paris will pick up a start at second.

Rengifo was forced to make an early exit from Friday's contest due to left hamstring soreness, but the injury won't end up causing him to miss any starts. The 28-year-old has struggled to find his swing thus far in 2025, going just 5-for-25 through the Angels' first seven games.

Abreu was scratched from the lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Cardinals, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

It's unclear if Abreu's removal from the lineup is due to an injury or simply the team wanting to give him a breather after Friday's three-hit effort, but Boston should offer some clarity on the situation in the near future. In the meantime, Rob Refsnyder will patrol right field and bat sixth.

Andujar isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Andujar is 4-for-12 with a run scored during his brief three-game hitting streak, but the Athletics will give him a breather Saturday. Seth Brown will fill the void in left field and bat seventh.

Urshela is out of the lineup for Saturday's game versus Colorado.

Urshela is just 3-for-23 through seven games this season, and the A's will now give him a day to rest while Max Schuemann picks up a start at the hot corner and bats ninth.

Muncy isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Muncy will take a day to regroup Saturday after going 0-for-10 with four strikeouts since the start of April. Luis Urias will get the nod at second base instead and bat eighth.

The Mariners optioned Saucedo to Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.

Saucedo has gotten off to a rough start this season, with four earned runs allowed in just 2.2 innings spanning three appearances. He'll look to right the ship in the minors; meanwhile, Jesse Hahn will come up from Triple-A to fill the vacancy in Seattle's bullpen.

The Mariners selected Hahn's contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.

Hahn hasn't appeared in a major-league game since 2021 during his time with the Royals, but he's now set to join Seattle's big-league squad to provide some bullpen depth. Tayler Saucedo was optioned to Tacoma to make room on the Mariners' roster, and Cody Bolton was DFA'd to free up a 40-man spot.

Torkelson went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Saturday's 7-2 win over the White Sox.

Torkelson has carried over a strong spring training performance into the regular season, as he's now batting .345 with two homers and a 1.127 OPS across eight games. The 25-year-old is seeing regular playing time in the early going, and if he can sustain his hot start, Torkelson could challenge the 31 home runs and 94 RBI he recorded during his breakout 2023 campaign, giving him plenty of fantasy value.
