Perez went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 4-2 victory over the Guardians.

Perez has had a slow start to the season, as he's hitting .213 with two home runs and a .606 OPS in 16 games. He has a four-game hitting streak, so perhaps this home run will get him going at the plate.

Springer (wrist) underwent X-rays, which came back negative, on his left wrist following Sunday's 7-6 win over the Orioles, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Springer exited the contest in the fifth inning after tweaking his left wrist during his at-bat in the top of the frame. The outfielder is considered day-to-day for the time being, and he seems to have avoided a significant injury ahead of Toronto's three-game set at home with Atlanta beginning Monday.

Springer went 0-for-3 with a strikeout before being removed from Sunday's game against the Orioles due to left wrist discomfort.

Springer -- who was serving as Toronto's designated hitter -- appeared to tweak his wrist during his final at-bat in the fifth inning. He'll presumably receive further treatment for his wrist before the Blue Jays determine whether he'll be ready to return to the lineup for Monday's series opener versus Atlanta.

Bleday is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

The 27-year-old outfielder will get his first day off of the season in Sunday's series finale, paving the way for Seth Brown to pick up a start in center. Bleday has delivered disappointing returns through the Athletics' first 15 games, batting .208 with one home run, one steal, nine runs and six RBI.

Mastrobuoni will start at third base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Mastrobuoni will stick in the lineup for a fourth straight game and will make his third consecutive start at the hot corner while Jorge Polanco (side) is limited to DH duties. Polanco is believed to be at least one or two weeks away from being ready to play the field, so Mastrobuoni could continue to benefit from extra opportunities. The 29-year-old is hitting .316 through his first 10 games with the Mariners, but he hasn't provided much help in the counting categories (zero home runs, one stolen base, three runs and zero RBI).

Heim is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.

Heim will get a breather after he started each of the last six games either behind the plate or at designated hitter. Kyle Higashioka will handle catching duties Sunday, forming a battery with starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi.

Semien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.

Semien will get his first day off this season after starting at second base and leading off in each of Texas' first 15 games. With Semien getting off to a 5-for-38 start to April, he stands to benefit from a chance to clear his head. Designated hitter Joc Pederson will assume leadoff duties, while Josh Smith fills in for Semien at second base.

The Mariners transferred Bliss (biceps) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Bliss is expected to miss up to five months after he underwent surgery Friday to repair a left biceps tear, so his move to the 60-day IL won't affect his timeline. The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for infielder Ben Williamson, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Tacoma.

The Mariners optioned Canzone to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

Since being recalled from Triple-A on Monday, Canzone appeared off the bench in two of the Mariners' ensuing five games while going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts. With third baseman Jorge Polanco limited to DH duties due to a sore side, the Mariners deemed Canzone an expendable piece and swapped him off the active roster for Ben Williamson, who will provide Seattle with more infield depth.

The Mariners selected Williamson's contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

Though he's not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Williamson could end up getting a long look at third base while Jorge Polanco remains limited to DH duties due to side soreness. The 57th overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, Williamson compiled a .769 OPS and stole 19 bags in 25 attempts over 541 plate appearances between Double-A Arkansas and High-A Everett in 2024. He was slashing .281/.317/.333 with three extra-base hits (all doubles) and two stolen bases over 14 games for Tacoma prior to being called up.
