Simpson (hand) had two stolen bases as a pinch runner and defensive replacement in Monday's loss to Houston. He reached base on catcher's interference in his lone plate appearance.

Simpson suffered hand and facial injuries after making a hard slide into home plate Saturday. He didn't play in Sunday's game. He was out of the starting lineup Monday, but that was more likely due to a left-handed pitcher starting the game. It looks like he's back to full speed after Monday's game.

Allen tossed three innings against Minnesota on Monday, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out three batters before the game was suspended due to inclement weather.

Allen gave up a run in each of the first and second innings before tossing a clean, four-pitch third frame. That was as far as he would go, as the contest ended up being suspended until Tuesday due to rain. Allen isn't going to pitch when the game resumes, but he could still take the loss given that the Guardians were behind when the contest was halted. The left-hander threw 53 pitches Monday, so his arm should be relatively fresh when he next takes the mound, which is scheduled to be this weekend in Detroit.

Ober allowed one run on three hits and no walks while striking out three batters over three innings Monday versus Cleveland in a game that was suspended until Tuesday due to inclement weather.

Ober gave up a run in the first inning but held a 2-1 lead before the contest was suspended. The right-hander threw 42 pitches (an efficient 35 of which were strikes) and will have to settle for a no-decision given the short outing. It's a disappointing outcome for fantasy managers who roster Ober, but the hurler should at least be well-rested by the time his next turn in the rotation comes up, which lines up to be this weekend versus Kansas City.

Langeliers went 1-for-4 with one RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Angels.

Langeliers had gone 0-for-9 with two walks and two strikeouts over the previous three games. He ended that slump with a first-inning RBI single to give the Athletics a short-lived 2-1 lead. He's also logged two steals over his last six games, giving him three thefts on the year, one shy of his career high from 2024. The catcher is hitting .250 with a .758 OPS, eight home runs, 24 RBI and 19 runs scored across 42 games.

Butler went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Angels.

Butler's bat is starting to come around again, as he's gone 3-for-10 with two doubles over his last three games. The outfielder briefly ceded the leadoff spot to Jacob Wilson, but Butler's been back atop the lineup in each of the last two contests, though it's possible the two players are fairly interchangeable in that role. Butler is up to seven steals on eight attempts while adding six home runs, 18 RBI, 21 runs scored, 11 doubles and a .228/.294/.389 slash line over 45 games this season.

Ginn (1-2) allowed four runs on six hits and struck out seven without walking a batter over four innings, taking the loss Monday versus the Angels.

Ginn threw 48 of 79 pitches for strikes in his return from right elbow inflammation. The right-hander had been out since late April due to the injury, and he fell short of his expected 85-to-90 pitch count in his return. He struggled a bit, allowing home runs to Nolan Schanuel and Taylor Ward, which accounted for three of the four runs on Ginn's line. For the season, Ginn has a 5.60 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB across 17.2 innings, showing some strikeout upside despite the sinkerballer's other concerns in his profile, which has included him allowing six homers already this season. His next start is projected to be a tough home matchup versus the Phillies this weekend.

Schanuel went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two doubles and two total runs scored in Monday's 4-3 win over the Athletics.

This was an unusual display of power for the contact-hitting first baseman, and he played a big role in the Angels' win. Schanuel went deep in the first inning and came around to score again on a Taylor Ward homer in the third. Over his last 14 games, Schanuel has logged seven multi-hit efforts, going 19-for-51 (.373) in that span. He's up to three homers, 14 RBI, 25 runs scored, nine doubles, one stolen base and a .277/.365/.406 slash line over 44 contests this season.

Neris (finger) struck out one during a scoreless inning in Monday's 4-3 victory over the Athletics.

Neris has been dealing with a blister on his pitching hand since Saturday, so it was good to see him deliver a strong outing on the way to Monday's win. He got through the eighth inning with ease, firing seven of his nine pitches for strikes. The team will presumably check in on the right-hander Tuesday morning to see how he bounces back from Monday's relief appearance.

Jansen allowed a hit and struck out one over a scoreless inning to earn the save in Monday's 4-3 win over the Athletics.

Jansen has kept runs off the board in his last three outings, spanning 3.1 innings. The veteran closer was able to picked up his ninth save of the season Monday, and his second save in three days, with a 16-pitch outing. He remains a perfect 9-for-9 in save chances while pitching to a 5.02 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB over 14.1 innings.

Soriano (3-4) allowed three runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four over six innings to earn the win over the Athletics on Monday.

Soriano wasn't at his best, but he was still good enough to picked up his third quality start over four outings in May. He also got back in the win column for the first time since April 10 versus the Rays. Soriano's continued success has come from keeping the ball down -- he hasn't allowed a home run in his last five starts and has given up just three long balls all season. That's helped to keep his ERA at 3.57 despite a 1.48 WHIP and 46:27 K:BB over 58 innings. His next start is expected to be in a favorable home matchup versus the Marlins this weekend.
