  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Stays busy on basepaths

Ramirez went 1-for-3 with two walks, two runs scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Astros.

The star third baseman got intentionally walked and promptly swiped second base as part of Cleveland's six-run eruption in the eighth inning that flipped the script on a 4-2 deficit. Ramirez leads the majors in steals, going a perfect 11-for-11 on the basepaths through 25 games to stay just ahead of the Pirates' Oneil Cruz and the Nationals' Nasim Nunez, who have 10 apiece.

  • Parker Messick SP | CLE

Guardians' Parker Messick: Late stumble in no-decision

Messick came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Astros, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.

The 25-year-old southpaw blanked Houston for four innings before running out of steam in the fifth, getting lifted after 85 pitches (54 strikes). The result was Messick's worst start of 2026 so far, as he hadn't allowed more than four runs or struck out fewer than five batters in any of his first four trips to the mound. He'll take a 1.76 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 29:8 K:BB through 30.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Rays.

  • Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU

Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Drives in three in Tuesday's loss

Alvarez went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Guardians.

The 28-year-old slugger extended his hitting streak to eight games, a stretch in which he's slashing .343/.395/.800 with four doubles and four homers. Alvarez has driven in at least one run in seven of those contests, boosting his RBI total on the season to 24 -- tied for the major-league lead with the Reds' Sal Stewart.

  • Bryan King P | HOU

Astros' Bryan King: Blows save Tuesday

King was charged with his first blown save of the season in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Guardians, coughing up three runs on two hits and two walks over two-thirds of an inning. He failed to strike out a batter.

The Astros headed into the bottom of the eighth inning with a 4-2 lead, but Enyel De Los Santos and King combined to surrender six runs in the frame, and the left-hander was the one tagged with the blown save. Manager Joe Espada is still searching for answers at closer with Josh Hader (bicep) on the shelf, and while King stepped up as a reliable high-leverage option over the first few weeks of the season, he's now given up six runs (four earned) over his last two appearances and 2.2 innings. On the season, he carries a 4.50 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB through 10.2 innings with one save and two holds in nine outings.

  • Ryan Weiss RP | HOU

Astros' Ryan Weiss: Inefficient in no-decision

Weiss didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Guardians, giving up two runs on five hits and four walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out four.

The 29-year-old right-hander needed 86 pitches (48 strikes) to record just 10 outs, as Weiss continues to struggle in his return to MLB. Weiss has yet to complete four innings in any of his seven appearances (two starts), stumbling to a 6.50 ERA, 2.17 WHIP and 22:14 K:BB over 18 innings, and with Houston having a couple off days coming Thursday and Monday, Weiss could have his next turn in the rotation skipped. Whether he gets another start or returns to a long-relief role will depend on when the likes of Tatsuya Imai (arm) or Cody Bolton (back) are cleared to come off the IL.

  • Astros' Enyel De Los Santos: Stuck with loss

De Los Santos (0-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Guardians, allowing three runs on two hits and a walk in one-third of an inning.

Tasked with protecting a two-run lead in the eighth inning, De Los Santos allowed three of the four batters he faced to reach safely, opening the door for Cleveland's six-run frame. Prior to Tuesday, De Los Santos had given up just one run across 7.2 innings in his first seven appearances this season while seeing closing opportunities in the absence of Josh Hader (biceps).

  • White Sox's Colson Montgomery: Continues power surge

Montgomery went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, three total RBI and two total runs against Arizona in an 11-5 win Tuesday.

Montgomery put the first Chicago runs on the board with a two-run double in the first inning. One frame later, he belted a 440-foot solo blast for the third of back-to-back-to-back White Sox homers. Montgomery has homered in three consecutive games after going deep three times across his first 20 contests of the season. He's still striking out a ton (32.3 percent) and is batting just .213, but his power is helping him maintain relevancy in most fantasy formats.

  • Royals' Michael Massey: Blasts clutch homer in win

Massey went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Orioles.

Massey delivered a clutch swing in the eighth inning, launching a game-tying solo home run off Rico Garcia for his first long ball of the season, setting the stage for Kansas City's walk-off victory. The second baseman also recorded a double earlier in the game as part of a much-needed performance. Massey has struggled since being brought back from the injured list and is now slashing just .207/.226/.414 with three doubles and four RBI across 31 plate appearances.

  • White Sox's Munetaka Murakami: Homers yet again Tuesday

Murakami went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk in Tuesday's 11-5 victory versus the Diamondbacks.

Murakami belted a 426-foot solo shot in the second inning for the first of back-to-back-to-back homers for Chicago. The Japanese slugger has gone deep in four straight games to raise his season total to nine long balls, tied for second in the league. Murakami is also striking out at a 31.3 percent rate, but he's paired that with 21 walks -- tied for third in the league -- and appears to have a handle on major-league pitching in his first year in MLB.

  • Sam Antonacci LF | CHW

White Sox's Sam Antonacci: Collects inside-the-park homer

Antonacci went 2-for-5 with a home run, a triple and three total RBI in an 11-5 win over the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Antonacci's first major-league homer was certainly out of the ordinary, as he laced a ball down the third-base line that appeared to touch the ball person, causing Arizona's left fielder to come to a halt. The ball remained in play, and Antonacci circled the bases, crossing home plate easily. This was easily the most productive game of his young career, as Antonacci came into Tuesday slashing .125/.300/.125 with no extra-base hits or RBI over his first five big-league contests.
