Adrian Houser SP | SF
Rays' Adrian Houser: Quick hook in no-decision
Houser came away with a no-decision in Friday's 4-1 win over the Nationals, allowing one run on six hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out four.
The right-hander tossed an inefficient 86 pitches (51 strikes) before getting lifted with Tampa Bay up 3-1, missing out on his eighth win of the season. Houser's performance so far in a Rays uniform hasn't matched what he accomplished earlier in the year with the White Sox, and through five starts for his new squad he's managed a 4.85 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB through 26 innings. He'll try to get on track in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Mariners.

Andrew Benintendi DH | CHW
White Sox's Andrew Benintendi: Six-game hitting streak
Benintendi went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI on Friday against the Yankees.
Benintendi has struggled since the All-Star break, posting a .674 OPS across 130 at-bats. He's turned things around of late, however, collecting at least one hit in six straight games while recording multiple hits three times. Benintendi has also managed three runs scored and two RBI in that span.

Justin Slaten RP | BOS
Red Sox's Justin Slaten: Shaky first outing off IL
Slaten allowed two hits and one walk while striking out one over a scoreless inning in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Pirates.
This was Slaten's first appearance since he was activated off the injured list Thursday, and understandably, it was shaky. He allowed a leadoff single to Oneil Cruz, who was then erased on a double play, but Slaten then issued a two-out walk and allowed a single before wriggling out of the threat. Slaten's previous appearance in the majors was May 28.

Romy Gonzalez 2B | BOS
Red Sox's Romy Gonzalez: Logs three hits in loss
Gonzalez started at first base and went 3-for-4 in Friday's 4-2 loss to Pittsburgh.
Gonzalez started a second consecutive game at first base, as Nathaniel Lowe remains unavailable while on paternity leave. Gonzalez had a go-ahead, run-scoring single Thursday in Baltimore to achieve a sweep of the Orioles and then followed up with three singles off the Pirates' Paul Skenes, one of the best pitchers in the game.

The Detroit catcher is having a strong offensive season with a .272 batting average and .751 OPS across 105 games, and he's batting .273 with an .818 OPS in his last 10 contests. Dingler batted just .167 with a .505 OPS across 27 regular-season games as a rookie in 2024.

Greene went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Friday's 5-3 win over the Royals.
Detroit got down 3-0 in this one, but with the game tightened up at 3-2, Greene delivered a key two-RBI double in the fourth inning to put the Tigers ahead. The outfielder is heating up with a .324 batting average, four home runs and 11 RBI across his last 10 games. Overall, he leads the team and is among the top 10 in the majors with 32 long balls and 101 RBI through 132 games.

Dylan Moore 1B | PHI
Rangers' Dylan Moore: Starts at first base
Moore started at first base and went 1-for-2 with an RBI in Friday's 5-2 win over the Athletics.
The injury-riddled Rangers are getting by with unexpected names in the infield. Moore, whose contract was selected Friday, filled in for the injured Jake Burger (wrist). There are other opportunities for Moore with two middle-infield starters -- shortstop Corey Seager (appendectomy) and second baseman Marcus Semien (foot) -- currently on the shelf.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Collects three hits in win
Torres went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Friday's 5-3 win over the Royals.
Torres recorded his first three-hit performance since July 22 to help lead the Tigers to a win. The infielder is struggling a bit this month with a .213 batting average and .324 on-base percentage, though he still has a respectable .263 batting average and .365 on-base percentage overall. Torres has also contributed 14 home runs, 61 RBI and 69 runs scored across 120 games this season.

Kyle Finnegan RP | DET
Tigers' Kyle Finnegan: Records win in relief Friday
Finnegan (4-4) tossed 1.2 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win Friday against the Royals. He walked one and struck out three.
Detroit starter Chris Paddack only lasted 3.2 innings, which led the Tigers to use four relievers. Finnegan was the second-to-last one used, picking up his fourth win of the season when Will Vest closed things out behind him in a 5-3 victory. Finnegan has been a strong addition to Detroit's bullpen, as he's yet to be scored on in 13.1 innings since joining the team at the trade deadline. He and Vest should continue to see save opportunities, giving both pitchers fantasy value moving forward.
