  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Tigers' Javier Baez: Scores twice in win

Baez went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and an RBI triple while also scoring two runs in Saturday's win over the Royals.

Baez doubled home Victor Reyes in the third inning, then sent Reyes home again on a triple in the fifth. Baez also reached home on two Harold Castro singles, one in the third and one in the fifth. Baez has started to heat up this month, going hitless in just one of nine games and slashing .353/.389/.529. The veteran shortstop also has a home run, eight RBI and five runs during that span and has raised his season batting average from .223 to .233.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Contributes with three hits

Lindor went 3-for-5 with one double, one homer, two RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's win over Miami.

Lindor hit a solo homer off lefty reliever Andrew Nardi with two outs in the fifth. This blast ended a 21-game stretch without a home run for the shortstop. The 28-year-old has been better at putting the bat on the ball in his last 11 games with a .310 average and just six strikeouts over 42 at-bats.

  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Dodgers' Trea Turner: Knocks in three runs

Turner went 2-for-4 with a triple, a double, a walk, three runs and three RBI in Saturday's 8-4 victory against the Padres.

Turner scored the Dodgers' first run in the third inning and produced their next three tallies with a bases-clearing double in the fifth. He extended his hitting streak to eight games, during which he's batting .286 with a homer, eight RBI, six runs and two stolen bases. Turner's 94 RBI on the campaign are already a career high, and he ranks fourth in the majors in that category.

  • Oneil Cruz CF | PIT

Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Slugs 14th homer

Cruz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the Cardinals.

Cruz is on quite the tear during his seven-game hitting streak. He's gone 14-for-30 (.467) with three homers, eight RBI, five runs scored, two triples and two doubles in that span. The massive surge has him up to a .231/.279/.470 slash line with 14 homers, 43 RBI, 31 runs scored and six stolen bases through 66 contests. The walk he drew Saturday was his first in nine games, and while he's hot at the plate, he still has a 36.2 percent strikeout rate compared to a 6.4 percent walk rate.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Three doubles against Texas

Bichette went 3-for-5 with three doubles, one walk, one RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 11-7 win over the Rangers.

Bichette recorded two of his three doubles off righty starter Kohei Arihara, one of which drove in a run in the third inning. The 24-year-old has been hitting everything in his last eight games, recording a ridiculous .514 average and 1.171 slugging percentage over his last 35 at-bats entering Saturday. The shortstop also tallied a monstrous 10 extra-base hits during that span, including six home runs and a triple.

  • Angels' Andrew Velazquez: Logs 16th steal

Velazquez went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Astros.

Velazquez's RBI came on a groundout in the second inning. He added a steal after his single in the sixth, which was his third theft in five games. The shortstop has now hit safely in consecutive games since he snapped an 0-for-18 skid that spanned eight contests. For the season, he owns a .194/.236/.296 slash line with 16 steals, eight home runs, 27 RBI and 36 runs scored through 341 plate appearances.

  • Jose Barrero SS | BAL

Reds' Jose Barrero: Lone bright spot Saturday

Barrero went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Brewers.

Barrero accounted for two of the three times the Reds had a man on base. He stole third after a third-inning double, then scored on a TJ Friedl sacrifice fly. Barrero has done alright in September, going 6-for-28 (.214) with three walks, two steals, two RBI and three runs scored. The 24-year-old shortstop is still struggling overall with a .167/.208/.237 slash line, two home runs, three steals, nine RBI and nine runs scored through 120 plate appearances.

  • Willy Adames SS | SF

Brewers' Willy Adames: Opens scoring Saturday

Adames went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Reds.

Adames' first-inning blast was ultimately all the offense the Brewers needed. The shortstop snapped a 14-game homer drought, which was his longest of the year. In that span, he hit .246 (15-for-61) with five doubles, four RBI and eight runs scored. He's up to a career-best 27 homers with 81 RBI, 72 runs scored, five stolen bases and a .229/.288/.453 slash line through 118 contests overall.

  • David Fletcher 2B | ATL

    Angels' David Fletcher: X-rays negative

Fletcher was removed from Saturday's game against the Astros with a right hand contusion. X-rays were negative and he is considered day-to-day.

Jose Urquidy's second pitch of the game -- clocked at 93.9 mph -- hit Fletcher square on the hand. While Fletcher stayed in the game initially, he was replaced at second base by Luis Rengifo to begin the bottom of the first. The Angels may need someone else to set the table in the series finale if Fletcher can't go.

  • Tommy Edman 2B | LAD

Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Absent from Saturday's lineup

Edman isn't starting Saturday against Pittsburgh, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Edman is getting a rare day off after he hit .389 with three RBI, two doubles, a stolen base, a walk and a strikeout over the last five games. Paul DeJong will take over at shortstop and bat ninth.
