Joey Wendle 2B | ATL
Rays' Joey Wendle: Three hits in Saturday's win
Wendle went 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-1 win over the Twins.
He looked to be cooling down after going 3-for-22 (.136) over his prior seven games, but Wendle's bat roared back to life Saturday. The 27-year-old now has a strong .288/.377/.481 slash line on the season, but his usual spot in the batting order -- 31 of his 52 at-bats this season have come while hitting sixth or lower -- has limited his production somewhat, leaving him with one homer, five RBI and nine runs through 18 games.

Indians' Jon Berti: Traded to Indians
The Blue Jays traded Berti to the Indians for cash considerations Saturday, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
Berti will head to Triple-A Columbus for his new organization. The 28-year-old struggled with a .205/.271/.321 slash line and 23 stolen bases at the Triple-A level last season and should serve as organizational depth for Cleveland.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Will begin rehab assignment Tuesday
Bogaerts (ankle) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Pawtucket on Tuesday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
Bogaerts has been taking batting practice and doing pre-game work on the field and is expected to play Tuesday and Wednesday at Pawtucket. Abraham reports the Red Sox are hoping the 25-year-old will be able to return for the start of their home series against the Rays next Friday.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Hits two home runs
Correa went 3-for-5 with two homers and three RBI in Friday's blowout win over the White Sox.
Correa clubbed a two-run homer off reliever Danny Farquhar in the sixth and then hit a solo shot off Carson Fulmer in the ninth, his first home runs since April 3. Although he hasn't been hitting a bunch out of the ballpark, Correa has been getting hits to fall. Over the last five games, the shortstop is 9-for-19 (.474), and has now brought his season average to .319.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Not expected back during road trip
Bogaerts (ankle) is unlikely to return to the active lineup during Boston's current road trip, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
The Red Sox are moving onto Oakland for a weekend series followed by a three-game set in Toronto next week. That puts Bogaerts' earliest return date as next Friday when Boston kicks off a home series against the Rays. The injured shortstop has been taking batting practice and fielding grounders, but the team is no hurry to rush him back, particularly as it sits atop the AL East with an MLB-best 16-2 record.

Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Continues on-field drills Thursday
Bogaerts (ankle) participated in agility drills prior to Boston's game against the Angels on Thursday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
This marks the third straight day that Bogaerts has worked out on the field, as he continues to work back a cracked bone in his left ankle. He's currently right in the middle of his original 10-to-14 day timetable, but the club has yet to pinpoint a specific return date for the 25-year-old. Brock Holt and Tzu-Wei Lin will keep filling in at shortstop in his absence.

Dee Strange-Gordon SS | WAS
Mariners' Dee Gordon: Productive in loss
Gordon went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in a 7-1 loss to the Astros on Wednesday.
Gordon was the only Mariners player with a multi-hit effort on a night when they were stymied by Gerrit Cole and a pair of relievers. The dynamic leadoff man has been as productive as advertised, having hit safely in all but one game this season and going a perfect 8-for-8 in the stolen-base department.

Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Another on-field workout Wednesday
Bogaerts (ankle) ran and worked out on the field Wednesday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
Bogaerts continues to work his way from a cracked bone in his left ankle. The shortstop was able to take batting practice for the second straight day, and manager Alex Cora said he's making "great" progress, according to Logan Mullen of NESN.com. That said, it's still unclear when he'll be ready to return at this point. Bogaerts is currently 10 days into his initial 10-14 day estimated return timetable.

Wendle will sit for the third straight game as Cole Hamels takes the mound for Texas. Daniel Robertson will get another start at the keystone and bat second. Over 15 appearances this season, Wendle is hitting .244/.360/.439 with one home run, five RBI and one stolen base.

Francisco Lindor SS | NYM
Indians' Francisco Lindor: Hits two-run homer
Lindor went 1-for-5 in Tuesday's win over the Twins, smashing a two-run homer.
Lindor broke the scoreless tie in the fifth, taking Twins starter Jake Odorizzi deep to put Cleveland on top 2-0. The offense kept hitting home runs, and Cleveland's pitching staff kept the Twins at bay. The home run was Lindor's second on the season, and he's now sporting a modest four-game hitting streak. The young shortstop only recently got his batting average above .200, and it's now sitting at .238.
