The Athletics placed Civale on the 15-day injured list Tuesday due to right shoulder tendinitis.

Civale's move to the IL comes after he yielded a season-high seven runs over four innings in his start during Monday's 9-2 loss to the Mariners. The Athletics called up lefty Gage Jump to join the rotation in place of Civale beginning with Tuesday's game against Seattle. Though the Athletics are labeling Civale's shoulder issue as tendinitis for the time being, manager Mark Kotsay indicated that the right-hander would be sent in for further testing Tuesday as the club looks to gain a full understanding of the extent of his injury. The Athletics should have a better sense of a timeline for his return in the coming days.

The Athletics selected Jump's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas ahead of his scheduled start Tuesday versus the Mariners in Sacramento.

Luis Severino had initially been lined up to take the hill Tuesday, but he'll be pushed back to Friday while the Athletics open up a start for Jump, who will be replacing the injured Aaron Civale (shoulder) in the rotation. A 23-year-old lefty, Jump earned the chance to make his MLB debut after submitting a 4.74 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 56:20 K:BB across 38 innings over his nine starts in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. Jump will call another hitter-friendly environment in Sutter Health Park his home venue as he moves up to the big leagues, so fantasy managers will have to weigh whether the strikeout upside he brings to the table is worth the risk he carries of inflicting damage in the ratio categories.

Crow is slated to start Friday's game against the Astros in Houston, Sophia Minnaert of Brewers.tv reports.

Milwaukee recalled Crow from Triple-A Nashville earlier Tuesday as the corresponding move to Logan Henderson landing on the 15-day injured list due to a low back strain. Crow will wind up taking Henderson's spot in the rotation in what will be the former's third start of the season with Milwaukee. The 25-year-old right-hander wasn't able to pick up a win in either of his first two starts, but he pitched effectively in road outings versus the Marlins and Twins, covering a combined 10.1 innings while striking out seven and yielding three runs on seven hits and one walk.

Webb (knee) will be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Friday against the Rockies, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Manager Tony Vitello previously disclosed the team's plan for Webb to return this upcoming weekend, and Friday is now official. Prior to landing on the IL, Webb had posted an uncharacteristically high 5.06 ERA and 1.40 WHIP over 48 innings spanning eight starts for San Francisco. Webb made a rehab start at Triple-A last Friday, allowing one unearned run on two hits and three walks while striking out two over 3.1 innings (62 pitches).

Boyd (knee) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Iowa on Sunday, Bruce Levine of 670TheScore.com reports.

The veteran southpaw is ready to return to a competitive setting a little over three weeks after undergoing a menisectomy on his left knee. Boyd did not need a full repair of his meniscus, and with his assignment to Iowa for his first rehab outing, it seems possible that he will beat his initial six-week estimated return timetable. This is Boyd's second IL stint already this season, as he spent time on the shelf in April with a biceps strain.

Koenig (elbow) said his live bullpen session went well Tuesday and he expects to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville on Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Koenig hit the 15-day injured list April 6 with a left elbow sprain and was diagnosed as having UCL damage. The southpaw was able to resume throwing April 28 and returned to mound work May 12. Given where he is in his rehab process, the reliever's return looks likely to come in early-to-mid June.

The Brewers recalled Crow from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

Milwaukee had optioned Crow to Nashville a week and a half ago, but he'll be eligible to rejoin the big club in fewer than 15 days after the Brewers placed Logan Henderson (back) on the injured list in a corresponding move. Since he had been on the same pitching schedule as Henderson, Crow is a logical choice to take over Henderson's turn in the rotation when it comes up again in Wednesday's series finale versus the Cardinals. Crow has previously made a pair of starts for Milwaukee this season, posting a 2.61 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 7:1 K:BB across 10.1 innings between the two outings.

Greene (elbow) threw a successful bullpen session Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Greene stepped back on the mound for the first time since he underwent surgery in mid-March to remove bone chips from his right elbow. The report doesn't indicate where his velocity sat during the session, but Greene might not have been throwing at full intensity, anyway. The right-hander will likely need a couple more bullpen sessions before progressing to facing hitters and eventually going out on a rehab assignment. Greene is aiming to rejoin the Reds rotation sometime in July.

The Brewers announced Tuesday that Woodruff (shoulder) is scheduled for a 60-pitch live batting practice session next week, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Woodruff continues to get ramped back up after hitting the shelf in late April due to right shoulder inflammation. It's unclear whether the extended simulated game will replace a rehab assignment or if the veteran hurler will need a rehab outing in addition to the sim game. Woodruff held a 3.60 ERA and 25:7 K:BB over 30 innings covering six starts for the Brewers before getting hurt.

The White Sox placed Schultz on the 15-day injured list Tuesday due to right knee patellar tendinitis.

The injury isn't an unfamiliar concern for Schultz, who spent most of the second half of the 2025 season on the shelf at Triple-A Charlotte due to the same issue. The White Sox haven't offered word yet on the severity of Schultz's latest flareup of patellar tendinitis, making it difficult to forecast how long he might be shelved. Chicago recalled right-hander David Sandlin from Triple-A in a corresponding move, and he'll step into Schultz's spot in the rotation Wednesday versus the Twins in what will be the former MLB's debut. Through his first eight starts with Chicago after being called up from the minors in mid-April, Schultz has gone 2-4 with a 5.82 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 33:22 K:BB in 38.2 innings.
