Johan Oviedo SP | BOS
Pirates' Johan Oviedo: Logs quality start in loss
Oviedo (3-7) took the loss Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits over six innings against the Cubs. He struck out three.
Oviedo pitched well Tuesday, but the Pirates couldn't muster any run support in a 4-0 loss. Still, it was another strong effort from Oviedo, who's allowed two runs or fewer in six of his last eight starts. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 4.30 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP and 74:35 K:BB through 15 starts (81.2 innings) this season. Ovideo currently lines up for a road matchup with the Marlins in his next outing.

Kutter Crawford SP | BOS
Red Sox's Kutter Crawford: Tosses five scoreless
Crawford (2-3) earned the win Tuesday, allowing six hits over five scoreless innings against the Twins. He struck out five.
Crawford made his sixth start of the season Tuesday -- his third straight after a lengthy stint in the bullpen -- and managed to blank the Twins over five frames. After being limited to 58 pitches after re-entering the rotation, Crawford has managed to throw 80 and 77 pitches in his last two starts. However, Tuesday was his first time pitching into the fifth inning since April 17. Though Crawford owns a 3.74 ERA in 13 appearances overall, that figure balloons to 5.63 -- albeit with a 28:5 K:BB -- when splitting out his 24 innings as a starter.

Kyle Bradish SP | BAL
Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Solid in third win
Bradish (3-3) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over five innings against the Rays. He struck out eight.
Bradish blanked a powerful Tampa Bay lineup for four innings before surrendering a pair of runs in the fifth. Baltimore would withstand the Rays' comeback attempt, giving Bradish his first win since May 17. The 26-year-old right-hander now has a 3.88 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP and 60:18 K:BB across 13 starts (65 innings) this season. Bradish is currently in line for a home matchup with the Reds in his next start.

Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD
Rays' Tyler Glasnow: Hit hard in loss
Glasnow (2-1) took the loss Tuesday, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks over 4.1 innings against the Orioles. He struck out seven.
Glasnow surrendered a three-run homer to Aaron Hicks in the first inning before Anthony Santander piled on with a two-run shot in the second. Glasnow would settle down, retiring eight of the final nine batters he faced, but the Rays couldn't climb out of the early hole. In five starts (25.1 innings) since his return from an oblique injury, Glasnow has a 4.97 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP and 33:13 K:BB. He's currently lined up for a favorable home matchup with the Royals in his next outing.

Ranger Suarez SP | BOS
Phillies' Ranger Suarez: Sharp again in no-decision
Suarez did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing a run on four hits and two walks over six innings in a 4-2 loss against Atlanta. He struck out seven.
After a rocky start to the year, Suarez has now logged five consecutive quality starts, sporting a 1.38 ERA in that span. The 27-year-old left-hander is 1-2 with a 3.50 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 42:14 K:BB in eight starts (43.2 innings) this season. Suarez will look to keep rolling in his next outing, tentatively lined up for Sunday against the Mets.

Luis Medina RP | ATH
Athletics' Luis Medina: Tosses 4.1 innings in bulk relief
Medina allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out four over 4.1 innings in Tuesday's 3-2 loss against the Guardians.
Medina took over for opener Ken Waldichuk with two outs in the second inning and managed to hold the Guardians scoreless until the seventh, where he allowed a leadoff double to Myles Straw, who would come around to score after Medina's departure. His one run allowed was a season low for the 24-year-old, who has given up four or more runs in three of his last five appearances. Medina hasn't lasted more than six innings in any appearance, and he hasn't even gone five frames in three of his last four. Through nine appearances (six starts), Medina owns a 7.01 ERA and a 41:19 K:BB with 10 homers allowed in 43.2 innings.

Spencer Strider SP | ATL
Braves' Spencer Strider: Rebounds for eighth win
Strider (8-2) earned the win Tuesday, allowing a run on eight hits over six innings against the Phillies. He struck out nine.
It was an encouraging effort from Strider after he'd allowed 13 runs over his last two outings (nine innings). It's the 10th time in 15 starts that he's logged nine or more strikeouts. The 24-year-old Strider leads the league with 136 punchouts while recording a 3.93 ERA and 1.15 WHIP across 84.2 innings. He's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Reds in his next start.
-
Daniel Lynch IV RP | KC
Royals' Daniel Lynch: Blanks Detroit for first win
Lynch (1-3) earned the win Tuesday, allowing just one hit and two walks over seven scoreless innings against the Tigers. He struck out two.
Lynch was superb in a bounce-back performance that came in the wake of the southpaw surrendering seven runs and four homers to the Reds in his most recent start. Lynch lowered his ERA to 4.45 with a 1.19 WHIP and 22:9 K:BB across five starts (30.1 innings) this season. The veteran is currently in line for a tough road matchup with the Rays in his next outing.
-
Framber Valdez SP | DET
Astros' Framber Valdez: Downs Mets with eight strong frames
Valdez (7-5) earned the win Tuesday against the Mets after he allowed two runs on four hits and one walk over eight innings. He struck out nine.
The left-hander kept New York off the board until the eighth inning, when the Mets pushed across two runs on three hits and a sacrifice fly. Valdez now has four wins in his past six starts with a 1.50 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 39:9 K:BB during that span. He's established himself as Houston's ace this season following the departure of Justin Verlander and is on pace for a career year.

Marcus Stroman SP | NYY
Cubs' Marcus Stroman: Dazzles again in win
Stroman (9-4) tossed seven scoreless innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Pirates. He allowed five hits and a walk, while striking out five.
Stroman has been exceptional lately, as that's now seven straight quality starts since he allowed six runs in 2.2 innings against Minnesota on May 14. In the seven appearances since then, the righty has a stellar 1.29 ERA and has earned the win each time out. The only thing Stroman hasn't done at an elite level this year is miss bats, as he now has 83 strikeouts across 98.2 innings. However, that hasn't been a big part of his game at the MLB level, and he should be able to maintain his success despite not overpowering hitters. Stroman will look for his eighth straight quality start and win in his next outing, which is tentatively set for Sunday against the Cardinals in London.
