Mikolas (8-10) allowed five runs on seven hits and struck out seven without walking a batter over 5.2 innings to take the loss Friday versus the Dodgers.

Mikolas pitched into the sixth inning for the first time in August and avoided walking a batter for the second start in a row. His seven strikeouts were also a season high. He's given up 14 runs over 13.2 innings across his last three starts, and the Dodgers were able to take him deep twice on solo shots from Gavin Lux and Mookie Betts. Mikolas is now at a 5.41 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 96:22 K:BB through 138 innings across 25 starts. This is shaping up as his worst of six seasons as a Cardinal, and it hasn't been getting better. The veteran is projected for a tough home start versus the Brewers in his next outing.

Williams (2-5) allowed five runs on six hits and two walks over four innings Friday, striking out five and taking a loss against Milwaukee.

Williams stumbled out of the gate and coughed up a three-run homer to Willy Adames in the first inning. The Brewers then scored runs in the third and fourth frames. Williams has given up at least five runs in three of his nine starts this season, resulting in a 5.02 ERA across 43 innings. He's allowed 12 runs over his last four starts but 11 of those have come in two outings. Williams is lined up for a tough road matchup against the Yankees next week.

Civale (4-8) allowed four hits and a walk over six scoreless innings Friday, striking out four and earning a win over the Guardians.

Civale turned in his first scoreless appearance of the season and never faced much trouble against a tricky Cleveland offense. He began his Brewers career 0-2 with a 5.40 ERA through five starts but has now strung together two straight wins and quality starts. Civale lowered his season ERA to 4.78 with a 117:40 K:BB through 24 starts with Tampa Bay and Milwaukee. His next outing is lined up to be in St. Louis.

Wrobleski (1-1) allowed four earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings to earn the win in Friday's 7-6 victory over the Cardinals.

Wrobleski served up three home runs, but a Dodgers rally in the top of the sixth inning allowed him to come away with his first MLB win. He's given up multiple home runs in three of his five starts at the big-league level this season and owns a 4.68 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB through 25 innings. The Dodgers haven't disclosed whether Wrobleski will be in line for another start; he was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to replace the injured Tyler Glasnow (elbow) on the 26-man roster Friday, but Bobby Miller is expected to start Saturday's game and could displace Wrobleski in the process.

Heaney (4-13) yielded four runs on five hits and a walk over 4.1 innings Friday, striking out eight and taking a loss against Minnesota.

The big blow against Heaney came when Carlos Santana took him deep for a three-run shot in the fifth inning. The veteran southpaw is now 0-3 with a brutal 6.66 ERA over his last five starts, and he has just one win since the start of July. Heaney owns a 4.20 ERA with a 123:35 K:BB through 124.1 innings this season. His next start is lined up to come at home against the Pirates.

Woods Richardson (4-3) allowed two runs on three hits and two walks over five innings Friday, striking out one and earning a win over Texas.

The righty gave up one run through four innings before Marcus Semien tagged him for a solo shot in the fifth. Woods Richardson has thrown five or fewer frames in three of his last four outings, producing a 6.05 ERA during that span. Friday's win was his first since June 26, but his one punchout matched his season low. Woods Richardson is sporting a 3.77 ERA with a 92:33 K:BB through 21 starts this season. His next outing is projected to come in San Diego.

Criswell (5-4) picked up the win Friday's 12-10 victory over the Orioles, allowing six runs on nine hits and four walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out one.

The Boston right-hander returned from the COVID-19 injured list and operated as a bulk reliever behind opener Brennan Bernardino. Criswell was roughed up by a stellar Orioles lineup and needed 79 pitches to record his 10 outs. Criswell can thank his offense for their generous run support, as he notched his sixth career win despite allowing a season-high 13 baserunners. With this six-run performance, his ERA rose more than half a run from 4.02 to 4.56. Criswell should make his next appearance against the Astros on the road next week, either as a bulk reliever or starter.

Burnes (12-5) took the loss Friday against Boston, allowing eight runs on 10 hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out seven.

The right-hander turned in his worst start of the season, allowing more than four earned runs for the first time as an Oriole. Burnes has struggled since the All-Star break, pitching to an atypical 5.40 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB across 35 innings. Overall, the former NL Cy Young Award winner sports a 3.10 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 144:38 K:BB in 153.2 total innings. He'll look to bounce back in his next scheduled start at Houston next week.

Munoz (2-7) took the loss Friday against the Mets, allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits and three walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out five.

Despite generating 13 whiffs on 93 pitches, Munoz allowed three or more earned runs for the fourth time in six second-half starts. Over that span, the rookie right-hander has pitched to a 6.66 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 25:12 K:BB across 27 innings, and he has failed to reach the sixth inning in any of those outings. Things don't get easier for Munoz -- he's scheduled to face a scorching hot Arizona team at home next week.

Lorenzen (6-6) earned the win Friday over the Reds, allowing one run on two hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out three.

Lorenzen was sharp Friday, blanking Cincinnati through five innings before Tyler Stephenson drove in a run with a two-out double in the sixth. It's the first win for Lorenzen since joining the Royals at the trade deadline, though he's pitched well in Kansas City, posting a 2.87 ERA through three starts and 15.2 innings. Overall, the 32-year-old is 6-6 with a 3.68 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 86:55 K:BB through 117.1 innings between the Royals and Rangers this season. He's currently lined up to face the Angels at home in his next outing.
