Valdez (15-7) allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over 5.2 innings to earn the win over the Mariners on Tuesday.

Valdez was one out shy of a fifth straight quality start, but he was able to get the win, which also clinched the AL West for the Astros. Over his last five starts, he's allowed five runs across 33 innings with a 30:11 K:BB in that span. The southpaw is now at a 2.91 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 169:55 K:BB through 176.1 innings across 28 starts this season. Valdez's next start is likely to come in the playoffs. He is on turn to pitch during the wild-card round, as the Astros are locked in to finishing third among the American League's division winners.

Feltner was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cardinals due to cramping in his right arm, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

Feltner pitched six-plus innings before exiting the game, giving up two earned runs on six hits and a walk while striking out six batters. Manager Bud Black said he didn't want to risk Feltner pitching while his arm was bothering him, which explains the decision to pull the right-hander after he threw just one pitch in the seventh. The team doesn't believe Feltner's injury to be anything too serious, and he's still expected to make his next scheduled start in Sunday's season finale versus the Dodgers.

Weathers (4-6) allowed a run on six hits and two walks while striking out two over five innings to earn the win over the Twins on Tuesday.

Weathers did better in his second start back from a finger injury. The Marlins gave him a four-run lead in the second inning, and he only gave one run back on Royce Lewis' RBI single in the third. Weathers has generally pitched well this year, allowing two runs or fewer in seven of his 15 starts. He's at a 3.81 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 74:22 K:BB across 80.1 innings. Weathers is tentatively projected to make one more start at Toronto this weekend.

Ober (12-8) allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings, taking the loss versus the Marlins on Tuesday.

Ober allowed all four runs in the second inning, and the Twins' offense couldn't back him up. The right-hander has gone eight starts without a win, allowing 26 runs over 45.2 innings with a 50:12 K:BB in that span. His late fade has pushed his ERA up to 3.94 with a 1.00 WHIP and 187:43 K:BB through 173.2 innings over 30 starts this season. Ober is tentatively projected to make one more regular-season start at home versus the Orioles.

Kremer (8-10) earned the win Tuesday versus the Yankees, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out three.

The Baltimore right-hander controlled a vaunted New York lineup at Yankee Stadium over 83 pitches to clinch a playoff spot for the Orioles. The lone blemish on Kremer's evening came in the fourth when he allowed a solo homer to Aaron Judge. With this performance, Kremer lowered his second-half ERA from 3.98 to 3.81 to go with a 1.27 WHIP and 59:26 K:BB across 61 innings. He is currently projected to make his final start of the regular season against the Twins in Minnesota this weekend.

Schmidt (5-5) took the loss Tuesday against the Orioles, pitching 5.1 innings while allowing three runs on four hits and one walk. He struck out seven.

The 28-year-old has now struck out seven batters in back-to-back outings that have both resulted in losses. Schmidt was faring well against a tough Baltimore lineup until Anthony Santander knocked a solo homer off the right-field foul pole in the sixth, ending the New York starter's night at an even 100 pitches. Since returning from a strained right lat Sept. 7, Schmidt has pitched to a 2.61 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 21:6 K:BB across 20.2 frames. He lines up to make his final start of the regular season against the Pirates at home this weekend.

Myers didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing two runs on six hits over four innings. He struck out four.

Myers has hit a bit of a snag down the stretch, allowing seven runs over 14 innings in his last three outings. Still, it's been an impressive campaign overall for the rookie right-hander -- Myers is 8-6 with a 3.09 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 122:36 K:BB across 134 innings. He'll look to head into the playoffs on a high note in his final regular-season outing, currently scheduled for this weekend at home against the Mets.

Parker did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's extra-innings loss to Kansas City, pitching six scoreless innings while allowing five hits and two walks. He struck out five.

The rookie left-hander entered this outing with an unsightly 5.59 ERA in 19.1 September frames and stymied the ice-cold Royals over his 91 pitches. Although he's struggled to contain lineups, Parker has been a consistent source of strikeouts, as he notched his eighth start out of his last nine with five or more Ks. Overall, the 24-year-old now sports a 4.29 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 133:43 K:BB across 151 innings this season. Parker is not currently scheduled to make another start this season but may appear out of the bullpen this weekend.

Ragans did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 1-0 win at Washington, pitching six scoreless innings while yielding three hits and three walks. He struck out six.

The Kansas City southpaw picked up his fourth consecutive quality start and 21st overall with this 89-pitch performance. Over that span, Ragans has pitched to a stellar 1.08 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 26:11 K:BB across 25 innings. In total, the 26-year-old has fired 186.1 frames with a 3.14 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 223:67 K:BB this season. He currently lines up to make his last regular-season start at Atlanta this weekend, an outing that will have significant playoff implications.

Falter (8-9) took the loss Tuesday against Milwaukee, allowing four runs on five hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out five.

Faltner's now dropped back-to-back outings, allowing six runs over 10.2 innings in that span, after going eight starts without a loss. The left-hander will carry a 4.26 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 97:42 K:BB into his final start of the year, currently scheduled for this weekend on the road versus the Yankees.
