Gallen (1-4) took the loss Friday against Atlanta after allowing three runs on four hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out six.

Gallen kept the hard contact in check to a degree -- it was just his second start this year in which didn't give up a home run -- but he yielded two RBI doubles during Atlanta's three-run second inning. The right-hander was able to tie a season high with 103 pitches, but it was his fourth consecutive outing with multiple walks allowed. Gallen has a disappointing 5.57 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 35:15 K:BB over 32.1 frames in 2025, and things won't get much easier in his next scheduled appearance on the road versus the Mets.

Sale (1-2) earned the win Friday against the Diamondbacks after allowing one run on five hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out four.

Sale gave up just one extra-base hit, a third-inning Corbin Carroll triple that he left stranded, and he also notably escaped a bases-loaded jam in the first inning. Although he fanned a season-low four, the reigning National League Cy Young Award winner got 11 whiffs, threw a season-high 104 pitches and yielded fewer than two runs for the first time in six starts this year. Sale now has a 5.40 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 36:9 K:BB across 28.1 innings, and he's set to face the Rockies in a tough spot at hitter-friendly Coors Field in his next projected outing.

Liberatore (2-2) earned the win against the Brewers on Friday, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out four across six innings. He did not issue a walk.

Liberatore got through the first five innings with ease, allowing just two baserunners over that span. His shutout efforts were dashed in the sixth inning on a Christian Yelich RBI single, and Liberatore was tagged for a second run after being lifted in the seventh. It was Liberatore's third straight quality start and fourth of the season, and his 0.97 WHIP through 31 innings is ninth best in the National League among qualified starters. He's tentatively slated to start next week on the road against the Reds.

Patrick (1-2) took the loss against the Cardinals on Friday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two in 4.1 innings.

Patrick retired nine of the first 11 batters he faced, but his shutout efforts ended in the fourth inning on a Nolan Gorman sacrifice fly, and Patrick was tagged for another run after being lifted in the fifth. Patrick hasn't given up more than two earned runs in any of his five starts this season and has a 2.45 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 22:11 K:BB across 25.2 innings. Patrick is tentatively slated to start against the White Sox next week, though it's unclear whether he will get another turn in the Brewers' rotation after Tobias Myers was activated from the 15-day injured list Thursday.

Quantrill (2-2) picked up the win Friday against the Mariners after allowing four runs on five hits and no walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

Although the soft-throwing right-hander did induce 12 whiffs while not yielding a walk, he struggled with his command a bit Friday. Quantrill gave up two home runs, a second-inning solo shot to Dylan Moore and a three-run jack to Jorge Polanco in the sixth. Quantrill holds a poor 7.83 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 13:9 K:BB over 23 innings in 2025, so he won't be a recommended fantasy option in his next scheduled start on the road versus the Dodgers.

Berrios did not factor into the decision in Friday's 4-2 win over the Yankees, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out four in 5.1 scoreless innings.

Berrios retired the side in both of the first two innings, and while he allowed two baserunners in each of the next three frames, he was able to escape without giving up a run. He generated only five whiffs while tossing 89 pitches (55 strikes) and was two outs shy of registering his third quality start of the season. Berrios has a 4.24 ERA and 1.41 WHIP over 34 innings this season, but his 15 walks are tied for second most in the American League behind Carlos Rodon's 18. Berrios is in line to start against the Red Sox at home next week, and the last time he faced Boston on April 7 he allowed just one run in seven innings.

King (3-1) took the loss Friday against the Rays after allowing one unearned run on four hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out nine.

King was impressive despite being saddled with his first loss Friday, generating 14 whiffs en route to his third outing this year without giving up an earned run. The lone run scored by Taylor Walls went unearned due to a Xander Bogaerts throwing error to open the third inning, and the right-hander fanned at least seven in his third straight start. King boasts a 2.18 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 40:11 K:BB over 33 innings this season, setting him up as a strong fantasy option in a soft matchup versus the Pirates for his next scheduled outing.

Sanchez (forearm) felt fine after playing catch Friday and will throw a bullpen session Sunday, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Sanchez was pulled from his start Tuesday against the Mets due to forearm soreness, an issue which is sometimes the first sign of a problem serious enough to require Tommy John surgery. While that worst-case scenario probably remains in play, the news has been largely positive since Tuesday. He felt better enough by Wednesday that the Phillies elected not to send him for an MRI, and he was allowed to throw just three days after the initial incident. If Sunday's bullpen session causes no further issues, he could wind up avoiding the injured list, though he won't start Tuesday against the Nationals as previously scheduled.

Baz (3-0) earned the win Friday against the Padres after allowing four hits and one walk in seven scoreless innings. He struck out six.

After giving up a season-high five runs in his last start versus the Yankees, Baz bounced back in a big way Friday. The right-hander scattered four singles, matching a season high in innings pitched while turning in his fourth outing this year with at least six frames and two runs allowed or fewer. Baz holds an outstanding 2.45 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 36:9 K:BB across 29.1 innings in 2025, and he has a favorable matchup against the Royals in his next scheduled start. Kansas City ranks last in MLB in home runs as a team (12).

Carrasco did not factor into the decision in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Blue Jays, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out two over five scoreless innings.

Carrasco limited the Blue Jays to five baserunners and needed just 67 pitches (41 strikes) to get through five frames. He hasn't generated many strikeouts this season, but he has yielded one earned run or zero in two of his last three outings and has a 5.26 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB across 25.2 total innings this season. His next start is slated for next week against the Orioles at Camden Yards.
