Alexander (3-1) earned the win Sunday over the Yankees, allowing one hit and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out three.

Alexander has been stellar of late, turning in back-to-back scoreless outings while allowing just four hits over 12 innings in that span. Overall, the 32-year-old right-hander sports a 5.02 ERA with a 1.46 WHIP and 29:18 K:BB across 37.2 innings between the Astros and A's this season. Despite his recent stretch, Alexander could soon be relegated to a bullpen role with Cristian Javier (elbow) slated to rejoin the rotation Monday.

Lauer allowed three runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four over three innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Sunday.

Lauer didn't have much command, throwing just 42 of 71 pitches for strikes. He served up solo home runs to Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman in the first inning and walked in a run in the third before his exit. Prior to Sunday, Lauer had pitched pretty well, posting a 2.57 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 34:4 K:BB over his previous six outings. His struggles in this start can be chalked up to a tough opponent -- he's earned the benefit of the doubt. On the year, Lauer has a 2.82 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 83:22 K:BB through 83 innings over 19 appearances (13 starts). The left-hander is projected to make his next start at home versus the Rangers.

Povich did not factor into the decision Sunday against the A's, allowing a run on four hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out six.

Povich was sharp in his second start since rejoining the Orioles rotation earlier this month. The left-hander held the A's scoreless through five innings before allowing a lone run in the sixth, though he managed to make it through the frame to pick up just his second quality start in 15 outings this season. Overall, Povich sports a 4.95 ERA through 76.1 innings with a 1.43 WHIP and 80:27 K:BB. He figures to remain in Baltimore's rotation while Zach Eflin (back), Kyle Bradish (elbow) and Tyler Wells (elbow) are sidelined -- Povich is currently lined up to face the Astros on the road his next time out.

Gordon (2-5) allowed 10 runs on 12 hits and struck out six without walking a batter over 4.2 innings to take the loss versus the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Gordon gave up just one home run -- a three-run shot to Adrian Del Castillo in the first inning -- but the Colorado right-hander couldn't generate much weak contact. He threw 61 of 77 pitches for strikes, but Arizona pieced together a huge rally in the fifth inning that ultimately knocked him from the game. Gordon has been awful in the majors this year with an 8.37 ERA, 1.89 WHIP and 22:8 K:BB through 33.1 innings over seven starts. With Chase Dollander reportedly being called up to pitch Monday versus the Cardinals, per Thomas Harding of MLB.com, it's possible Gordon could be the corresponding move given his recent struggles, though the Rockies have plenty of candidates to be jettisoned to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Bergert did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Twins, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Bergert was impressive Sunday, as he matched a career high with eight strikeouts while holding the Twins to two runs on a Ryan Fitzgerald homer in the third inning. The rookie right-hander hasn't provided much length this season (his 5.2 innings pitched matched a season high), though he's been effective overall, holding opponents to two runs or fewer runs in seven of his nine starts. Bergert's ERA sits at 2.87 this season with a 1.09 WHIP and 44:21 K:BB across 47 innings between Kansas City and San Diego. He figures to remain in the Royals rotation until Michael Lorenzen (oblique) is able to return though that could happen as soon as this week.

Pfaadt (12-7) allowed three runs on 11 hits and struck out two without walking a batter over five innings to earn the win over the Rockies on Sunday.

Pfaadt wasn't great, but he was able to keep the ball in the yard and didn't elevate his pitch count with walks. This is his second win in a row, and he's allowed three runs or less in four of his five starts since the All-Star break. The 26-year-old is still too often middling in his performance, as evidenced by his 5.03 ERA and 1.35 WHIP, though his 104:28 K:BB through 127 innings is fine. Pfaadt is tentatively projected to get a rematch with the Rockies for his next start, though that game is in Colorado, which makes him a risky option in fantasy.

Quintana will start Monday's series opener against the Pirates, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Quintana will be moved up a day to toe the rubber Monday, after he was initially set to go Tuesday. He'll swap spots in the rotation with Freddy Peralta, who will now line up to go opposite of Paul Skenes in Tuesday's matchup. The left-handed Quintana recorded a quality start Wednesday against Atlanta, tossing six innings and allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out a season-high seven batters. Quintana has struggled with the long ball recently, surrendering six home runs over his last four starts, something he'll look to correct against Pittsburgh.

Peralta will make his next start Tuesday versus the Pirates, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Peralta was expected to toe the rubber in Monday's series opener with Pittsburgh, but he'll now be pushed back a day. The right-hander has labored through his last couple starts, but he still owns a 3.03 ERA over 24 outings this season, and he will now throw opposite Pirates phenom Paul Skenes on Tuesday. Jose Quintana will draw the start against Pittsburgh on Monday.

Roupp (elbow) struck out four and allowed two earned runs on three hits and no walks over three innings in a rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Sacramento.

In his first appearance since landing on the injured list July 25 due to right elbow inflammation, Roupp flashed his normal velocity and exhibited good control, pumping 33 of his 50 pitches in for strikes. The Giants will likely want Roupp to push his workload up into the 75-pitch range before activating him from the IL, so he'll presumably require at least one more start in the minors.

Taillon (calf) struck out six and allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks over 4.2 innings in his second rehab start Friday for Triple-A Iowa.

After getting lit up for seven earned runs in three innings in his initial outing with Iowa last weekend, Taillon was much sharper in his second rehab start. Perhaps more significantly, Taillon built his pitch count up to 78 on Friday, potentially making him stretched out enough to return from the 15-day injured list to make his next start with the Cubs. The organization is still in the process of determining the next step for Taillon, who has been on the shelf since July 4 due to a right calf strain.
