Glasnow allowed four runs on five hits and a walk while striking out seven over six innings in a no-decision versus the Rangers on Friday.

Glasnow gave up a three-run home run to Corey Seager in the third inning and a solo shot to Wyatt Langford in the fifth. This was Glasnow's third straight six-inning start to begin the year, but he struggled a bit more in this one due to the long balls. He's still been decent so far with a 4.00 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 22:4 K:BB across 18 innings. The right-hander is projected to make his next start on the road in Colorado.

Sugano allowed two runs on four hits and struck out three without walking a batter over six innings in a no-decision Friday versus the Padres.

Sugano turned in a second straight quality start, though the long ball remains a problem. He gave up solo home runs to Gavin Sheets and Luis Campusano in the fifth inning. Still, over 16.2 innings across three starts, Sugano has a 2.16 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 12:3 K:BB. He's made two of his starts on the road, and it's likely his luck will run out with a steady stretch of time at Coors Field. The right-hander's next start is projected to be at Houston.

Buehler allowed three hits and struck out four without walking a batter over six scoreless innings in a no-decision Friday versus the Rockies.

Buehler's first two outings as a Padre were unremarkable, but he logged his first quality start of the season in this one. The opponent likely played a factor in his success, but this was a positive step forward for the 31-year-old right-hander after a couple of down years following Tommy John surgery. Buehler has an 11:5 K:BB to go with his 4.97 ERA across 12.2 innings through three starts this season. He is projected to make his next start at home versus the Mariners.

May (1-2) earned the win Friday against the Red Sox, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and no walks with four strikeouts across six innings.

Facing one of his former teams, May was able to get on the board with his first win as a member of the Cardinals. He flirted with trouble in the fourth inning, allowing two of the first three batters of the inning to reach on singles. Boston then pushed one run across on an error before Marcelo Mayer reached on an infield single. Trevor Story then stole home to give Boston a 2-1 lead, but May was able to stop the bleeding with an inning-ending groundout. After two ugly starts against the Rays and Tigers to open the season, May now owns a 9.45 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB across 13.1 innings. He's slated to face the Guardians at home Wednesday.

Irvin didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Brewers, allowing three runs on two hits and five walks with five strikeouts across five innings.

Irvin struggled badly with his command, as two of his walks came in the bottom of the first inning ahead of a three-run home run by Jake Bauers. Irvin then went on to retire 10 of the last 12 batters he faced and was able to give the Nationals five innings on 100 pitches. Irvin now owns a 7.07 ERA and 16:8 K:BB across 14 innings. He's slated to face the Pirates on the road Wednesday.

Ashby allowed two runs on three hits with four strikeouts across 2.1 innings as the Brewers' opener in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Nationals. He did not factor into the decision.

Ashby threw a season-high 44 pitches and was tagged for both runs in the top of the first inning, as James Wood doubled to lead off the game before Curtis Mead singled him home in the next at-bat. CJ Abrams later doubled home Mead. Following Ashby's 2.1 innings, Chad Patrick threw three shutout frames, allowing three hits and one walk with no strikeouts on 50 pitches. Ashby has appeared in an MLB-high eight games already this season and owns a 3.75 ERA and 18:5 K:BB across 12 innings.

Elder did not factor into Friday's decision against the Guardians, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three across 4.2 innings.

Elder kept the Guardians off the board through the first three frames before yielding a run in both the fourth and fifth. He was one out away from being in line for the decision but was pulled despite punching out Jose Ramirez in a bases-loaded situation. Even so, Elder is off to a solid start to the season with just two earned runs through three starts (17.2 innings). His next start is projected for next week at home against the Marlins.

Snell (shoulder) is scheduled to throw live batting practice Saturday, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

Saturday will mark Snell's first time facing live hitters this year as he works his way back from left shoulder fatigue. Although his live session will represent a significant step forward in his recovery, the 33-year-old will likely require a lengthy rehab assignment and isn't expected to make his season debut until late May.

Strider (oblique) will throw a live batting practice session Saturday, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

It's presumed to be the last step before Strider heads out on a rehab assignment. Strider suffered the strained left oblique at the end of spring training and has missed his first three turns through the rotation, but it appears a 2026 debut will happen in the near future. Martin Perez has been filling in at the back end of Atlanta's rotation while Strider has been out.

The Brewers recalled McGee from Triple-A Nashville on Friday.

McGee pitched in eight games out of the bullpen for Milwaukee last season, posting a 5.52 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 13:5 K:BB across 14.2 innings. He'll fill a middle-relief role for the Brewers.
