Julio Teheran SP | BAL
Braves' Julio Teheran: Extends scoreless streak
Teheran allowed zero runs on three hits with three walks and four strikeouts across six innings during a no-decision against the Rockies on Monday.
The right-hander worked around three walks, throwing his second straight scoreless outing. Since yielding six runs in 1.1 innings against the Mets on Aug. 15, he has recorded 13 straight scoreless frames. But he settled for the no-decision because his counterpart, Tim Melville, also kept the Braves off the board. Teheran stayed at 8-8, improving his ERA to 3.39 on Monday. He also has a 1.32 WHIP and 141 strikeouts in 151.1 innings this season. Teheran will look to extend his scoreless streak Sunday at home against the White Sox.

Tim Melville SP | BAL
Rockies' Tim Melville: Records five shutout frames
Melville tossed five scoreless innings while allowing five hits with three walks and six strikeouts during a no-decision against the Braves on Monday.
Unfortunately, Melville didn't earn the win because the Rockies scored just one run and blew their small lead in the ninth. However, the 29-year-old has been impressive through two starts, yielding just one run in 12 frames. He is 1-0 with a 0.75 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 10 strikeouts during those two outings. One would think Melville has earned another start, and his turn in the rotation will pop up again Saturday at home against the Pirates.

Dustin May SP | MIL
Dodgers' Dustin May: Hit with loss Monday
May (1-3) took the loss against the Padres on Monday, giving up four runs (two earned) on four hits over 5.1 innings, striking out two and walking one as the Dodgers fell 4-3.
May emerged with a solid final stat line, as two of the runs against him were unearned, but he still wound up taking his third loss of the season in a low-scoring contest. The young right-hander has held his own at the big-league level so far, posting a 4.07 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB over 24.1 innings, but he's expected to move back to the bullpen after this start as the Dodgers move back to a five-man rotation.

Eric Lauer SP | LAD
Padres' Eric Lauer: Bags seventh win
Lauer (7-8) got the win against the Dodgers on Monday, giving up three earned runs on six hits over six innings, striking out eight and walking four in a 4-3 victory for the Padres.
It was a solid outing in a tough matchup for the left-hander, who matched his season-high with the eight strikeouts and logged his eighth quality start of the season en route to his seventh win. Overall, Lauer has a 4.48 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 106:39 K:BB across 124.2 innings for the season. He'll take the mound next on the road against the Giants on Sunday.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Pirates' Joe Musgrove: Fires six strong innings
Musgrove allowed two runs on five hits over six innings Monday, striking out six batters in the loss to Philadelphia. He did not factor in the decision.
The only runs to score on Musgrove came from a two-run shot by Brad Miller in the fourth inning. It was a much better outing for the 26-year-old after he was rocked for six runs in his last start. He'll carry a 4.67 ERA into Saturday's tough outing against the Rockies at Coors Field.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Yanked early in no-decision
Wainwright yielded two runs on six hits and three walks in 3.2 innings Monday, striking out four batters in the win against Milwaukee. He did not factor in the decision.
St. Louis piled on nine runs before Wainwright left, but he was forced out of the game early after throwing just 49-of-90 pitches for strikes. Lorenzo Cain drove in his team's second run of the game in the fourth inning before Yasmani Grandal drew a walk, ending Wainwright's night. It was the first time since July 19 where he failed to complete at least five innings. The 37-year-old righty will carry a 4.52 ERA into Saturday's home contest against the Reds.
-
Pablo Lopez SP | MIN
Marlins' Pablo Lopez: Gives up four runs in loss
Lopez (5-6) gave up four runs on five hits and one walk while striking out three through five innings to take the loss against the Reds on Monday.
Making his first start since June 15, Lopez only threw 86 pitches and allowed a three-run home run that was enough to tag him with his sixth loss. The 23-year-old has a 4.41 ERA and 76 strikeouts through 15 starts this season. Lopez is scheduled to make his next start Saturday at Nationals Park.
-
Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Reds' Sonny Gray: Strikes out six in win
Gray (10-6) gave up two runs on two hits and five walks while striking out six through six innings to earn the win over the Marlins on Monday.
Gray struggled with his control, but he did enough to deliver another quality start. Since the All-Star break, the 29-year-old has a 5-1 record with a 1.83 ERA in nine starts. Gray is scheduled to pitch the first game of a doubleheader Saturday against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium.

Dodgers' Rich Hill: Mixing in secondary pitches
Hill (forearm) threw some curveballs from flat ground and tossed five from a mound Monday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Dustin May SP | MIL
Dodgers' Dustin May: To draw one more start
May will remain in the starting rotation for one more turn following Monday night's start against the Padres, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
The Dodgers will stick with a six-man rotation for one more turn, putting May in line to start again Sunday in Arizona. He'll likely return to a relief role after his time in the rotation comes to an end.
