Sixto Sanchez SP | MIA
Marlins' Sixto Sanchez: Allows four runs in loss
Sanchez allowed four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two over three innings in a loss to Atlanta on Thursday in Game 3 of the NLDS.
The Marlins gave the ball to Sanchez with the season on the line after dropping the first two games of this best-of-five series. The rookie could not get the job done as he had in the Wild Card Series, however. It's a bit troubling that the hard-throwing righty finishes 2020 with a 12:11 K:BB over his final four starts, postseason included (15 innings). Sanchez had a 29:5 K:BB in his first five major-league starts spanning 32 innings.

Kyle Wright SP | CHC
Braves' Kyle Wright: Fans seven in series-clinching win
Wright allowed three hits and two walks over six scoreless innings in a win over the Marlins on Thursday in Game 3 of the NLDS. He struck out seven.
Wright had to wiggle out of some trouble in the first inning and again in the third. There was not much drama otherwise as Wright kept the Marlins off the scoreboard and the bullpen did the same to complete Atlanta's shutout and clinch a trip to the NLCS. Wright endured some major struggles at the highest level in 2019, but he's been better this season and especially lately as he's avoided shooting himself in the foot with free passes (five walks in his last 19 innings).

Dustin May SP | MIL
Dodgers' Dustin May: Starting Game 3
May will start Game 3 of the NLDS against the Padres on Thursday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
May threw two scoreless innings of relief in Game 1 on Tuesday, so he may not be asked to pitch too deep into this one, though it's possible the Dodgers consider his 27 pitches in that game to be the equivalent of a typical side session between starts and will give him a fairly long leash. The 23-year-old righty cruised to a 2.57 ERA in 10 starts and a pair of relief appearances during the regular season, but his 4.62 FIP and 3.98 xFIP suggest he overachieved by quite a bit, as he struck out a modest 19.6 percent of opposing batters.

Zach Davies SP | WAS
Padres' Zach Davies: Dealt loss in Game 2
Davies took the loss in Game 2 of the NLDS against the Dodgers after allowing four runs on nine hits with three strikeouts and zero walks over five innings.
The right-hander kept Los Angeles off the board over the first two frames, but he surrendered four runs on seven hits between the third and fourth innings. Davies didn't give up four earned runs in any of his 12 starts during the regular season, but he's allowed four earned runs in both of his playoff starts while covering only seven combined innings. The Friars will need to overcome a 2-0 series deficit for him to receive another start this postseason.

Clayton Kershaw SP | LAD
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Delivers quality start in Game 2
Kershaw picked up the win in Game 2 of the NLDS against the Padres on Wednesday after allowing three runs on six hits with six strikeouts and zero walks across six innings.
The veteran southpaw was lights-out through five innings as he gave up only one run, but Manny Machado and Eric Hosmer connected for back-to-back solo homers during the sixth inning to put a damper on the outing. Still, it was a solid outing for Kershaw, who surrendered three runs over 14 innings between his first two starts of the playoffs. He lines up to start Game 2 of the NLCS should the Dodgers be able to complete the series win over the Padres.

Mike Clevinger RP | PIT
Padres' Mike Clevinger: Removed from NLDS roster
Clevinger (elbow) was removed from the Padres' roster ahead of Game 2 of the NLDS against the Dodgers on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old lasted only one-plus inning in Game 1 on Tuesday before being pulled with reduced velocity, so the move hardly comes as a surprise. Clevinger is now ineligible to rejoin the Friars' playoff roster until the World Series, if they can advance. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the right-hander will need to lay low for a week to allow the inflammation to subside before he undergoes further medical imaging. Dan Altavilla was added to the 28-man roster in a corresponding move.

Mike Clevinger RP | PIT
Padres' Mike Clevinger: Roster status in flux
Clevinger (elbow) was told he won't do further damage to his arm by continuing to pitch, and the Padres are determining whether he can still be effective while pitching through the injury, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
The elbow impingement that cropped up toward the end of the regular season resurfaced as the right-hander started Game 1 of the NLDS against the Dodgers on Tuesday, and he was removed during the second inning after his velocity dropped. Even if the Friars opt to keep Clevinger on the roster, he's unlikely to fill his usual role and may not be nearly as effective due to the discomfort. If the 29-year-old is removed from the NLDS roster he won't be eligible to pitch the following series should the Padres advance to the next round.

Ian Anderson RP | ATL
Braves' Ian Anderson: Strikes out eight in win
Anderson (1-0) recorded the win over 5.2 innings of scoreless work Wednesday, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out eight in a victory over the Marlins in Game 2 of the NLDS.
Anderson fanned eight in a dominant outing. The 22-year-old threw 61 of his 94 pitches for strikes and recorded a first-pitch strike on 10 of the 21 batters that he faced. The rookie has yet to allow a run this postseason. His next chance at taking the mound will come if the Braves advance to the NLCS.

Pablo Lopez SP | MIN
Marlins' Pablo Lopez: Fans seven in loss
Lopez (0-1) took the loss in Wednesday's defeat at the hands of the Braves in Game 2 of the NLDS, allowing two earned runs on three hits over five innings. He struck out seven.
Lopez battled through five innings, with his only mistakes coming in the form of a pair of solo home runs he allowed. The 24-year-old had a strong postseason debut, throwing 59 of his 89 pitches for strikes without walking a batter. Lopez posted an impressive 3.61 ERA and 1.19 WHIP during the regular season, and his next chance at taking the mound would come if the Marlins can advance to the NLCS.

Walker Buehler SP | SD
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Fans eight in win
Buehler allowed one earned run on two hits and four walks while striking out eight over four innings in Tuesday's win over the Padres in Game 1 of the NLDS. He did not factor into the decision.
Buehler was pulled after four frames due to a high pitch count. The 26-year-old threw 52 of his 95 pitches for strikes and recorded a first-pitch strike on 10 of the 18 batters he faced. The right-hander's next opportunity to take the mound isn't likely to come until the NLCS if the Dodgers advance out of the divisional round. Dustin May replaced Buehler on Tuesday and threw two scoreless innings to earn credit for the win.
