Gausman said Monday that an MRI on his sore left hip came back clean, leaving him optimistic he remains on track to make a start during this weekend's series with the Cubs in Chicago, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

The MRI was likely performed as a precaution, as Gausman previously said after his start Sunday against the Dodgers that he didn't expect to miss time because of the injury. Gausman will likely throw a between-starts bullpen session Tuesday or Wednesday before the Giants render a formal verdict on his status for the weekend.

Miley (5-4) picked up the win in Monday's 11-1 rout over the Phillies, allowing one run on six hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out six.

The veteran left-hander was making his first start since May 19 after recovering from a foot sprain, and Miley delivered his fourth quality start of the season while tossing 102 pitches (63 strikes). He'll take a 3.26 ERA and 40:14 K:BB through 49.2 innings into his next outing.

Velasquez (2-1) took the loss in Monday's 11-1 rout at the hands of the Reds, coughing up six runs on five hits and three walks over three innings. He struck out three.

Homers by Max Schrock and Kyle Farmer highlighted the Cincy barrage as Velasquez got tagged with his first loss of the year. The right-hander exited after 65 pitches (40 strikes), and he'll take a 4.08 ERA and 48:25 K:BB through 39.2 innings into his next start.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that Gonsolin (shoulder) will make one more rehab start at Triple-A Oklahoma City before returning from the 60-day injured list next week, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Gonsolin most recently made his second rehab start for Oklahoma City on May 28, tossing 3.2 innings (55 pitches) in that outing. The Dodgers likely want to see the right-hander get stretched out closer to 75 pitches before the team feels comfortable inserting him into the big-league rotation. If all goes well during his upcoming turn with Oklahoma City -- which will likely come Wednesday or Thursday -- Gonsolin would line up to make his first start with the Dodgers at some point during next week's three-game series in Pittsburgh, which begins June 8.

The Mets reinstated Lugo (elbow) from the 60-day injured list ahead of Monday's game against the Diamondbacks.

New York optioned Sean Reid-Foley to Triple-A Syracuse to open up a spot in the bullpen for Lugo, who was one of three Mets to return from the IL for Monday's series opener. Lugo finished last season in a starting role for the Mets, but he'll likely serve as a late-inning, multi-inning option in 2021 now that he's made a recovery from February surgery to remove a loose body from his elbow. Over his four rehab outings at Triple-A prior to being activated, Lugo gave up three runs (one earned) while striking out five in 4.1 innings.

Ynoa (hand) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Monday.

Ynoa is expected to miss at least two months after he fractured his right hand while punching the dugout bench May 16, so his shift to the 60-day IL doesn't come as a surprise. The move will create room on the 40-man roster for outfielder Abraham Almonte, whose contract was selected by Atlanta as part of a corresponding move.

Williams (appendicitis) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday, Russell Dorsey of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Williams was scheduled to start Monday's game against the Padres but underwent an appendectomy Sunday. He doesn't have a timetable for his return, but he's scheduled to meet with a doctor Thursday, Gordon Wittenmyer of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Right-hander Kohl Stewart was recalled to start Monday's game, and he could continue to start in Williams' place until he's cleared to return.

Miley (foot) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's start against the Phillies.

Miley suffered a sprained left foot in mid-May, but he'll return to the mound after a brief stay on the injured list. The southpaw has posted a 3.50 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 43.2 innings across eight starts to begin the year. Left-hander Cionel Perez was optioned to Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move.

Kershaw (7-4) allowed five earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out six across six innings, taking the loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Kershaw was immediately lit up for three runs in the first inning, capped off by a two-run home run by Mauricio Dubon. The veteran southpaw has eight quality starts to go along with a 3.33 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP. In his four worst starts this season, he has a 9.40 ERA. Although inconsistent at times, he's been able to stay healthy so far in his age-33 season. His next start is scheduled for Saturday in Atlanta.

Freeland allowed three runs on five hits and four walks while striking out one in four innings during Sunday's win over the Pirates. He didn't factor into the decision.

Freeland gave up just one run in his season debut Tuesday, but he was slightly less effective against Pittsburgh. The southpaw tossed two scoreless innings to begin Sunday's game, but the Pirates were able to manufacture runs in the third and fourth innings prior to Freeland's removal. Freeland hasn't lasted more than two innings in either of his first two starts of the year and has had to settle for no-decisions in each appearance. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Athletics on Saturday.
