Teng will draw the start in Wednesday's contest against the Padres, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Teng will return to the mound to make his second start of the season with San Francisco. The right-hander worked behind opener Matt Gage in Friday's win over the Nationals, tossing five scoreless innings while striking out four batters. Over two outings, Teng owns a 5.40 ERA and 1.32 WHIP with eight punchouts over 8.1 innings, and he'll look to step up to the challenge against an impressive Padres group.

Roupp (elbow) is expected to be activated from the 15-day injured list and start Friday's contest against the Rays, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Roupp is set to make his return to action with the Giants after tossing three innings, allowing three runs on three hits while striking out four batters in a rehab start with Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday. The right-hander has been on the shelf since July 25 with right elbow inflammation, but he'll rejoin the major-league roster after just 20 days away. Roupp was limited to 50 total pitches in his rehab outing, so he'll likely be on a workload restriction in his return versus Tampa Bay.

Manager Craig Counsell said Taillon (calf) will make a third rehab start with Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday before returning from the 15-day injured list, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The veteran right-hander allowed one earned run and threw 78 pitches over 4.2 innings during the second start of his rehab assignment last Friday, and he'll make one more start in the minors before returning to the Cubs. Assuming all goes well Wednesday, Taillon will rejoin the Cubs early next week to make a start at Wrigley Field against the Brewers, who have gone 18-4 since the All-Star break and own the best record in baseball.

Henderson (elbow) is targeting a late-September or early-October return, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

With that timeline, Henderson's regular season could be over, but he may be an option for the Brewers during the playoffs. Henderson was injured in his Aug. 3 start against the Nationals when he allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks across 4.1 innings of work. He was later diagnosed with a flexor strain. The 23-year-old right-hander has made five starts for the Brewers this season, posting a 3-0 record, 1.78 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 33:8 K:BB across 25.1 innings.

Misiorowski (tibia) is scheduled to throw a 30-pitch bullpen session Tuesday and could begin a rehab assignment as soon as Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Misiorowski last pitched on July 28, when he took a comebacker off his shin from Seiya Suzuki. He was diagnosed with a tibia contusion, and the rookie right-hander has experienced no setbacks. Misiorowski shouldn't require more than one rehab start, so it sounds like he has a chance to rejoin the rotation next week.

Manager Carlos Mendoza said Tuesday that Montas will move to the bullpen permanently, Deesha Thosar of Fox Sports reports.

Montas' last appearance came out of the bullpen as the bulk reliever behind opener Reed Garrett this past Saturday in a 7-4 loss to the Brewers. Montas allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks across three innings of work in that one, striking out three. Paul Blackburn (shoulder) could be activated from the IL to fill the hole in the rotation, but prospects Brandon Sproat and Nolan McLean are also options to start for the Mets this coming Saturday against Seattle.

Brown is no longer expected to start Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays after the Cubs activated Javier Assad (oblique) from the 60-day injured list, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Assad will take the bump and make his 2025 season debut after throwing 18.1 innings across five rehab starts. It's unclear if the Cubs will move Brown's turn back in the rotation or send him to the bullpen. Brown has struggled to a 6.04 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 104:27 K:BB across 92.1 innings of work this season.

The Cubs activated Assad (oblique) from the 60-day injured list, and he's expected to start Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Ben Brown had originally been slotted in as Tuesday night's starter in Toronto, but Assad is back from the IL and will make his 2025 season debut after coming back from a strained oblique. Assad made five rehab starts in the minors, pitching to the tune of a 2.45 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB across 18.1 innings. He built up to 68 pitches in his latest rehab start last Wednesday.

The Reds list Martinez as their starting pitcher for Friday's series opener versus the Brewers in Cincinnati.

After a brief stint in the bullpen, Martinez moved back into the rotation last week when Nick Lodolo (finger) landed on the injured list. The veteran righty proceeded to deliver a gem in Saturday's win over the Pirates, striking out four over seven innings while allowing just one earned run on four hits and two walks to earn himself another turn through the rotation. With the Reds set to get Hunter Greene (groin) back from the IL to start Wednesday's game against the Phillies and with Martinez receiving another start, rookie Chase Burns appears likely to have his turn in the rotation skipped for at least this week. Manager Terry Francona acknowledged Monday that Burns will be facing some workload restrictions as the season winds down, so the Reds could shift him to the bullpen in order to help manage his innings count while also allowing the team to keep a five-man rotation intact.

Gray (elbow) continues to throw bullpen sessions at the Nationals' spring training complex in Florida, but the team has no immediate plans to have him face live pitching, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The right-hander is now over a year removed from Tommy John surgery with an internal brace, and he's been throwing side sessions since June. While Gray has indicated he would like to make a few starts in the majors before the end of the season, the organization doesn't seem to have much urgency to accelerate his rehab. The Nationals haven't yet ruled Gray out from pitching in 2025, but at this point, the organization appears to be targeting next spring for his return to a big-league mound.
