Martinez gave up five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision against the Mets on Saturday.

Martinez looks antsy on the mound with his unique, fidgety setup, and he's made fantasy managers antsy so far with eight earned runs allowed on 14 hits through two starts (10 innings). While he doesn't have overpowering stuff, Martinez has a number of different offerings in his repertoire and is willing to challenge hitters in the strike zone. The Reds are expected to get Nick Lodolo (leg) back next week, which could push Andrew Abbott out of the rotation. Another option would be to transition Martinez to a long-relief/swingman role.

Severino was charged with two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over five innings in a no-decision against the Reds on Saturday. He struck out seven.

A fielding error by second baseman Jeff McNeil led to the first run of the game, and Severino gave the Reds another run on a bases-loaded walk later in the same inning. However, he buckled down from there and left with a three-run lead, only for the bullpen to give it up. Severino has a 3.60 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 13:2 K:BB through two starts spanning 10 innings. A projected matchup in Atlanta next week dings his short-term outlook, but the veteran righty will be in the streaming conversation most weeks and should remain rostered in most fantasy leagues, especially in light of the rash of pitching injuries around the league.

Strider underwent an MRI on Saturday that revealed damage to the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. He will be further evaluated by Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, Texas, at a date yet to be determined.

Strider reported discomfort in his right elbow after his second start of the season in Friday's 6-5 extra-inning win over Arizona, and the worst-case scenario seems to be unfolding for the 25-year-old. If Tommy John surgery is deemed necessary, it would be the second for Strider in his young career. He should be considered out indefinitely, with a move to the injured list likely before the weekend is out. Bryce Elder is a candidate to be called up from Triple-A Gwinnett to replace Strider in Atlanta's starting rotation.

The Brewers recalled Ashby from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.

With Jakob Junis (shoulder) headed for the injured list, Ashby will come up from the minors and figures to fill the void in the Brewers' rotation. The 25-year-old lefty didn't pitch at all at the major-league level in 2023 as he worked his way back from a shoulder procedure, and he surrendered three runs across five innings during his first start in Triple-A.

Grove pitched three innings in relief against the Cubs on Friday, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out one batter.

Grove has pitched more than an inning in three of his four appearances this season, with Friday's three-inning outing being his longest to date. He's mostly struggled in the early going, allowing at least three earned runs in all but one of his appearances thus far. Overall, Grove has an 11.74 ERA and 2.09 WHIP over 7.2 frames, and opponents are batting an astronomical .382 against him.

Greene surrendered one earned run on three hits and a walk while striking out six batters in six innings during Friday's 3-2 loss to the Mets. He didn't factor into the decision.

Greene was able to extend the Mets' struggles at the plate, with a sacrifice fly from Francisco Lindor representing the only damage on the 24-year-old's line. However, he had to settle for a quality start after receiving little support from his offense. Greene is lined up to start again at home versus the Brewers next week.

Quintana gave up one earned run on five hits and four walks while striking out four batters through 5.2 innings during Friday's 3-2 win over the Reds. He did not factor into the decision.

The Reds were able to put runners on base consistently against Quintana, but aside from a first-inning solo home run by Spencer Steer, the left-hander was able to keep them from crossing home plate. However, New York wasn't able to take the lead until after Quintana left the game, so Friday's win was awarded to Drew Smith. The 35-year-old Quintana owns a 2.61 ERA and 1.65 WHIP through his first two starts and is tentatively scheduled to make his next appearance in Atlanta next week.

Peralta yielded three runs on four hits and a walk over 5.2 innings and did not factor in the decision Friday. He struck out seven during a win over Seattle.

Peralta looked terrific through five shutout frames, allowing just three Mariners to reach base during that stretch. He was then tagged with three runs in the sixth inning and wasn't able to record a quality start. The 27-year-old forced seven whiffs with his slider and 13 total. Peralta has a 3.09 ERA with an impressive 15:2 K:BB through 11.2 frames. He's currently lined up to start in Cincinnati next week.

Henry did not factor into the decision Friday against Atlanta, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five.

Henry looked much sharper against Atlanta after struggling in his season debut against Colorado. He faced no easy task -- having to duel Spencer Strider -- and managed to tally more whiffs than the Atlanta righty (14 vs. 12). Henry is tentatively scheduled for a rematch with the Rockies on the road in his next start.
