Cannon is listed as the White Sox's probable starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

The 23-year-old was recalled by Chicago and recorded a three-inning save Friday against Boston, and his next appearance will come as a starter. Cannon started in his three previous outings for the White Sox this season but struggled with 11 runs allowed and a 13:4 K:BB over 13.2 innings.

Oakland transferred Wood (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Wood landed on the 15-day IL in May 13 with left rotator cuff tendinitis. He had progressed in his rehab to the point of playing catch, but the 33-year-old southpaw still won't be on track to complete his throwing program until at least mid-July. Prior to the injury, Wood started in nine games, posting a 1-3 record with a 5.26 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 33:19 K:BB over 39.1 innings.

Nastrini was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

Nastrini has struggled in his six starts in the majors this season, posting an 0-5 record with an 8.39 ERA, 1.99 WHIP and 19:25 K:BB over 24.2 innings. The White Sox called up lefty reliever Sammy Peralta from Charlotte in a corresponding move, but it's not immediately clear whom the big club may turn to as a replacement in the rotation for Nastrini.

Anderson (5-6) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out three over six innings to take the loss versus the Astros on Saturday.

Anderson gave up two runs in each of the third and fifth innings. He threw 60 of 90 pitches for strikes, but this was the first time in five starts he allowed more than one run. It was just the second time he's been on the hook for four runs this year. The southpaw is at a 2.63 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 53:33 K:BB over 82 innings through 13 starts in 2024. Anderson's surface stats look close to his career year from 2022, but his 4.70 FIP and .218 BABIP suggest he's been very fortunate in 2024. Given his high walk rate, Anderson is a risky pitcher to roster in fantasy over the rest of the season.

Cortes (3-5) took the loss against the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 5.1 innings.

Cortes gave up a pair of solo homers among the seven total hits Los Angeles tallied against him, and the four runs he yielded tied a season-high mark. The lefty hurler did at least manage to keep New York within striking range -- though the game ended in a blowout, most of the Dodgers' damage came after Cortes' departure. Cortes is hanging onto a respectable 3.68 ERA on the season, though his current 8.7 K/9 is on pace for his lowest mark since a four-appearance cup of coffee as a rookie in 2018.

Brown (2-5) allowed two hits and four walks while striking out seven over six scoreless innings to earn the win over the Angels on Saturday.

Brown logged his fourth straight quality start, and he's given up just six runs with a 26:8 K:BB over 24 innings, though this is his only win over that stretch. It continues a positive trend for Brown, who is pitching deeper into games, though his 4.3 BB/9 on the year remains alarmingly high. The right-hander also has a 5.58 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 67:29 K:BB over 61.1 innings through 13 appearances (12 starts). He's tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Tigers.

Lively (6-2) allowed three hits and struck out one without walking a batter over five shutout innings to earn the win over the Marlins on Saturday.

Lively might have had more in the tank -- he threw just 65 pitches (43 strikes) in a sharp but somewhat short outing. It was enough for his fifth straight win, and he's allowed just eight runs with a 22:6 K:BB over 28.1 innings in that span. Lively isn't dominating by most measures, as his 20.2 percent whiff rate is in the 15th percentile in the majors, per Statcast. He also averages just 90 mph between his four-seam fastball and sinker, which combine for roughly 60 percent of his pitches. Despite the poor under-the-hood metrics, he's pitched to a 2.59 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 48:15 K:BB over 55.2 innings through 10 starts this season. Lively's next start is projected to be at Toronto.

Nastrini came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Red Sox, allowing one run on two hits and five walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

He got lifted after 87 pitches (42 strikes) following a Bobby Dalbec homer in the top of the fifth inning that gave Boston a 1-0 lead, preventing Nastrini from recording his first big-league win when Chicago erupted for five runs in the bottom of the frame. Control remains a significant issue for the rookie right-hander, and he's walked at least four batters in three of four starts since his late-May promotion. The rebuilding White Sox seem inclined to live with his growing pains, so Nastrini will carry an 8.39 ERA, 1.99 WHIP and 19:25 K:BB through 24.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next week in Seattle.

Mize (1-4) took the loss to the Brewers on Saturday, allowing five runs (three earned) on eight hits and two walks with one strikeout over 5.1 innings.

Mize pitched into the sixth inning for just the sixth time this season. He was pulled with his team up 4-3, but the bullpen allowed both inherited runners to come across to score, sticking him with the loss. It was a tough break for Mize, as two of the five runs allowed were unearned. The right-hander is still looking for his second win of the campaign -- he's now gone eight straight starts without a win and has seen his ERA climb from 3.08 to 4.73 in the process.

Bello (6-3) took the loss Saturday as the Red Sox fell 6-1 to the White Sox, giving up five runs on nine hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out two.

Only two of the hits off the right-hander went for extra bases, but one of those was a grand slam by Gavin Sheets in the fifth inning. Bello has been tagged for at least three runs in five straight starts, a stretch in which he's stumbled to a 6.75 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 24:12 K:BB over 26.2 innings. He'll look to turn things around in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Yankees.
