  • Indians' Carlos Carrasco: Continues strong start against Orioles

Carrasco (4-0) picked up the win against the Orioles on Monday, scattering six hits and one earned run over 7.1 innings, striking out seven and walking two in Cleveland's 2-1 victory.

Carrasco has been dominant since a dud first start of the season and this outing was no exception as the 31-year-old got the better of a solid duel with Kevin Gausman, lowering his ERA to 2.31 and his WHIP to 0.86 in the process. Those are elite ratios in any fantasy format and his 28:6 K:BB just adds to what has been a dynamite start to the season. He'll have to contend with some talented hitters in his next start against Seattle on Saturday, but that shouldn't stop you from rolling him out there.

  • Kevin Gausman SP | CHC

Orioles' Kevin Gausman: Throws eight strong innings against Indians

Gausman (1-2) took a hard-luck loss against the Indians on Monday, giving up two earned runs on four hits over eight innings, striking out seven and walking one in Baltimore's 2-1 defeat.

After getting lit up for six earned runs by the Twins in his first outing of the season, Gausman has righted the ship, with the strong showing against Cleveland representing his third consecutive quality start. His 4.66 ERA and 1.31 WHIP are still a bit bloated thanks to that rough showing to begin the season, but his strong body of work since then and his 26:7 K:BB suggests that the right-hander is on a positive trajectory in terms of his fantasy potential. He'll look to keep it rolling in his next start on Saturday against the Tigers.

  • Angels' Parker Bridwell: Battling elbow inflammation

Bridwell was diagnosed with elbow inflammation Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

An MRI revealed that Bridwell didn't have any structural damage in his elbow. He'll resume throwing once his bout of inflammation subsides, at which point a timeframe for his eventual activation from the DL should begin to take shape.

  • Angels' Parker Bridwell: Sidelined with elbow injury

Bridwell is dealing with an elbow injury, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Bridwell was placed on the disabled list Sunday, though the reason was not initially known. The right-hander is getting his elbow examined in Los Angeles, so the severity of his injury should become clearer relatively soon.

  • Angels' Parker Bridwell: Heads to disabled list

Bridwell was placed on the 7-day disabled list at Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday due to an undisclosed injury, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Bridwell has allowed six runs in 1.2 innings at the major-league level and 10 runs in 9.2 innings for A Salt Lake so far this year. It would hardly be surprising to find out that he's been affected by an injury since the start of the season, though the nature of his injury has not yet been made clear.

  • Carlos Rodon SP | NYY

White Sox's Carlos Rodon: Throws in extended spring game

Rodon (shoulder) threw three innings in an extended spring game Monday.

Rodon remains on the 60-day disabled list while recovering from September shoulder surgery. He's targeting a late-May or early-June return.

  • Martin Perez SP | ATL

Rangers' Martin Perez: Makes changes to delivery

Perez adjusted his delivery for Sunday's game against the Mariners, Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News reports. The left-hander, who entered the game with a 13.14 ERA, got the win in his best effort of the season.

Manager Jeff Banister insisted Perez was not pitching for his job Sunday, but with Doug Fister (hip) set to return to an over-crowded rotation, the notion of replacing Perez was out there if he pitched poorly again. The changes he made involved getting his hand out of the glove quicker and throwing more over the top than he had in previous outings. The changes produced better action on the sinker and curveball. The other significant development Sunday was that Perez did not let innings get out of control. He retired the side just once -- the first time that's happened all season -- so there was traffic on the basepaths he had to navigate. He defused a bases-loaded jam in the second, and when he allowed two runs in the fifth and looked like he might lose control, he induced three consecutive outs. It was a reassuring effort for those invested in Perez, whose next outing is expected to be Saturday or Sunday on the road against the Blue Jays.

Rangers' Martin Perez: Goes six strong Sunday

Perez (2-2) got the win Sunday, allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over six innings against the Mariners.

The quality start was a welcome sign for the lefty, as he'd been tagged for 16 runs (15 earned) on 19 hits in just seven total innings in his past two starts. He did allow seven hits and plunked a batter, but for the most part, Perez worked out of trouble, including escaping a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the second inning without yielding a run. Still, he hasn't struck out more than four in any of his starts and sports a 9.82 ERA, so it'll be tough to trust him when he takes the hill next time out Saturday in Toronto.

  • Casey Crosby SP | MIN

Twins' Casey Crosby: Brought off 7-day DL

Crosby (hamstring) was activated from Triple-A Rochester's 7-day disabled list Sunday, Seth Stohs of TwinsDaily.com reports.

Now that he has officially been activated, the 29-year-old is expected to make a relief appearance for Rochester in the near future, which will mark his first affiliated-ball action in almost four years. A former top prospect in the Tigers organization, Crosby reached the big leagues in 2012 but battled health woes the following two seasons before being released by Detroit in August 2014. After taking extended time off from baseball to be with his family and pursue an accounting degree, Crosby decided to revive his career last October, when he signed a minor-league deal with the Twins. It's unclear what Crosby still has left in the tank following multiple years away from the game, but the lefty's strong pedigree makes him a worthwhile low-stakes gamble for Minnesota.

  • Yonny Chirinos SP | MIA

Rays' Yonny Chirinos: Allows two runs in no-decision

Chirinos allowed two runs on four hits and two walks across 4.2 innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Twins. He struck out six.

Chirinos threw 66 percent of his pitches for strikes in this one, setting a new season high in punchouts. He scattered baserunners for the most part, allowing runs in the second and third innings, but he was unable to give himself a shot at his first win by completing the fifth. Chirinos bounced back well from a shellacking by the Rangers earlier in the week, and his ERA still sits at a solid 2.92 for the season. Now officially the team's fourth starter, the 24-year-old is next scheduled to face the Red Sox next weekend.
